Golden Glitter

Wandering . . .

Ms. Healthy Diva Life recently wrote a blog post called Feeling Good & A Little Lost. It does feel good to feel good. It is okay to feel lost. Just ease into the wandering, right!

Talking about feeling lost made me think of J.R.R. Tolkien. “All That Is Gold Does Not Glitter” is a poem written by J.R.R. Tolkien for his fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings.

“All that gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.” ~J.R.R. Tolkien


Glittery . . . Shiny . . .

We all experience that feeling of being lost and at times we may find we lost ourselves too in the process! How do you continue moving forward? How do you get back on track in living your life? This is when you need to take a time out and make time for yourself to do a self check!

Ask Yourself . . .

  • Do you know your “whys” when it comes to what you want?
  • Do you know what you want to do?
  • Do you know what makes you happy?
  • Do you know how to release and let go of what is no longer working best for you?

You wonder and wander! It is perfectly normal and okay to not know where you are going at times in living your life. Tune into your emotions and tap into your feelings to connect to your inner being. Really ask yourself the questions above to determine what truly excites you to move your whole being again! 


Wandering . . .

Focusing inward helps you in being aware of your mind and various energies as well as your heart and physical being too! It is perfectly normal and okay to be all over the place. Take the time to stretch your comfort zone in trying new things. Make mistakes to learn and develop. Gain new experiences to experience growth. Really wander!

Look at what you do have in your life! Appreciate and celebrate it. Be grateful and thankful. Each and everything received and given is a true blessing!

My grandmother talked about patience (which I have very little of – ha!). She talked about . . . In having patience you will find your purpose. Challenges, stresses and struggles will test your patience fully and completely. Throughout that test and the test of your patience will come your plan; your game plan, your next plan, etc. You will get through it and become a stronger person for it!


Making Time to Be!

We all grow by experiencing change! Practice to learn, develop and experience. We all change to transform! Practice to progress. We all go through life transitions! 

Practice . . . maintaining your center of balance, your health and happiness, and feeling good about yourself and where you are at. Be the Captain in steering your life, especially your healthiness and happiness!

Practice . . . self love and self care and compassion, owning and embracing your messy self, and counting your many blessings. The love you have for yourself matters in being there for yourself and your greatest someones! 

Practice . . . sharing, receiving and giving, coming from a place of love, and following your heart and your loves and passions and desires. Really lead with your heart and the rest of you will fall into place and be along for the ride!

Practice . . . that life is not a sprint to the finish line and to take the time to wander, get lost, find your way, and just journey along!

Manifesting Energy

Through Your Inner Self

 Think vitality and quality of life! 

Intuition

How do you tune into your inner self? Do you tune into what you need and tap into your energy. Do you really let your intuition in when it comes to reflecting vs. reacting. Especially in taking the time you need when it comes to making decisions and choices that work best for you and your whole being!

Your inner guidance. Does it give you energy. Does it allow you to open a bit more. How do you drown out the noise to really listen to it to guide you!

How do you tune into your intuition? Are you aware when it comes to what you are drawn to versus led into? Is your mind instructing you or is your gut directing you? It is important to guide yourself, especially when it comes to your inspiration and energy as well as your motivation and drive!

Your inner gut instinct. Do you listen to it? Do you value and trust it? How does it make you feel and think!

Inner Energy

How do you tap into your inner energy? By understanding the why in your needs and desires. By adding in time to relax and rest. By being inspired to be, do and take action!

What are you building for your self? The communication you have with your inner self. The interaction to your healthiness, happiness and wellness. The engagement to your vitality through learning, experiencing growth and gaining life experiences!

What are you creating for your self? Connecting to your various energies (i.e. creative, spiritual, etc.). Tuning into your passions and loves. Really doing what you love and making the time to do it!

What are you navigating for your self? The balance between structure and being more freeing. The knowing how to be and do through your needs and desires. Along with setting boundaries, you also need to create space to tune into your intuition and tap into your energies more freely!

Manifesting Investing

In Your Whole Being

Do you think of yourself as an investment? I hope you do!

When you truly feel good about yourself, you are less likely to fall for those mind traps and physical challenges you place on yourself! Yes, we all want to look good, especially on the outside and how we present ourselves to others. However, it does not define who you are!

  • What do you do to invest in your whole being, inside and out?
  • How are you worthy to yourself?
  • How do you value yourself, especially in what matters the most to you?

You have to really check in with yourself and your whole being from time to time! To see how you are doing overall. To see if you are using your time and energy efficiently and effectively. To see what you truly need!

  • How do you love yourself and your whole being?

You need to invest in YOU to get a great return on your investment! Taking care of your health and happiness. Doing more of what you love to do. Tuning into those passions and tapping into your creative being. To truly receive and give back to YOU!

  • How do you tap into your power, especially owning it?

Remember it is okay to have those moments where you are not on top of it! You realize it and that is a good first step. Stop and pause to reflect and release. It is okay to embrace it, come to terms with it and keep moving forward one step at a time!

Manifesting Receiving

To Receive, Release & Give

I was in the process of writing a blog post on manifesting receiving when I read an article On Mind Body Green by Dr. Danielle Dowling called How to Manifest Abundance In Your Relationships & Finances. Her words just SPOKE to me. The main reason her words spoke to me is the connection between receiving and releasing!

Dr. Dowling’s number one tip for abundant success is RELEASE in any are of your life! She talks about saying to yourself “I release so that I may receive.”

  • Release resentment (that you haven’t gotten it yet).
  • Release expectation (of what it should look like).
  • Release attachment (to the eventual outcome).

I think about that desire for abundance and how to attract it. I think about that need of getting what you want in your life to live your life.

It is like a teeter totter! On one side release seems simple and easy. On the other side release can be difficult and challenging. I think it comes down to being true to who you are by believing, valuing, loving, and trusting yourself! 

In knowing your essential inner being you can go after what you need, crave, want, and desire! You can find your healthiness and happiness. You can discover your passions and loves. It starts with you and from within you!

It is about building a good foundation for yourself! Practicing to shift, change and transition to develop and grow. Experiencing to live a good, full life. Creating your story as you journey along!

It is about being there and helping yourself connect more deeply to who you are and your world!

Really connecting with your whole being . . .

  • To Communicate
  • To Listen
  • To Interact
  • To Engage

It is about that triple combo in RECEIVING, RELEASING and GIVING! Being open to the possibilities and opportunities. Learning when you need to slow down, step back or even speed up a bit. Being, doing and going for what really matters to you and what you truly love to do!

Experiences Are Part of Your Story

Creating Your Story One Experience, One Moment, One Chapter At A Time

You find your path and define it as you go along. Your path sets you on the course to journey along. Those experiences and those moments become a part of the story you create.


Journeying Along . . .

  • There are times you have to ask for help along the way. This helps you communicate, interact, connect, and engage.
  • There are times you have to ask for directions. This helps you in stopping to process. This helps you in pausing to breathe. This helps you redirect.
  • There are times you have to unpack and regroup; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. This helps you create space and set boundaries. This also helps you learn how to release and let go of what is no longer working or serving your best interests.


Opening Up . . . Being . . . Letting Go . . .

It can be uncomfortable to open yourself up, however; vulnerability helps you grow and evolve! Being vulnerable is okay and not a weakness or flaw. It can become an essential part of who you are and how you express yourself by living from within your being! Humility goes a long way too.

We all experience the good, the bad, at times the ugly, and everything in between! You can be in control of how you make decisions and choices. You can be in control of how you respond and react. It can serve you or sabotage you and you choose which one it will be! 

Make the time to slow down and be more! All that rushing about. All those excuses about not having the time. Stop the “busyness” – your 20’s turn into your 40’s and your 40’s into your 80’s before your own eyes in hurrying and rushing about to the next and the next and the next!


Sink Your Toes Into the Sand!

Remember . . .

  • MAKE Time For Yourself. Make the space you need for you and your whole well being.
  • DO What You Love. Find the fun and play as well as the joy and happiness.
  • TAKE Note of the Beauty Around You. Practice to progress . . . Be grateful, appreciative and thankful . . . Celebrate more . . .
  • EMBRACE Your Journey. Explore, adventure, travel . . . Communicate and interact as well as engage and connect . . . Learn, experience growth and gain life experiences . . .

Start At The Beginning

Build From There . . .

I have been thinking and questioning lately.

  • What Brings You Joy?
  • What Challenges You In A Good Way?
  • What Makes You Want to Experience Life?

In essence “How do we live life each and every day?”! You have to begin laying that foundation to build from. You have to tune into your inner sense of direction and tap into your internal compass. You have to figure out where you are going, especially when you do not know your destination and where to even start!

One place to start is figuring out what gives you energy! Getting curious and exploring. Stretching your comfort zone in trying new things. Discovering what you love to do!

In giving yourself energy you want to connect and engage to what is going on around you! You gain focus, become more aware and pay attention more. You start communicating, interacting and connecting, especially with the skill set, experience and knowledge that you already have at hand!

Think about what engages you, especially when you have the energy! That knowing in what to do and how to do it. There is nothing better than finding your flow! 

What activities energize and engage you?

  • To be in that moment.
  • To be completely focused and involved.
  • To be in that place that either calms you or brings you joy, pleasure and happiness.
  • To be sucked in that you lose track of time.
  • To be excited and engaged.
  • To be having FUN!

The Learning Path

Staying The Course

There is nothing better than when the pieces click into place! That feeling of enlightenment and lightness. That feeling of freedom with a twist of enchantment. That feeling of being proud of yourself for doing it, going through the experience and accomplishing it!

You are more open to expand, especially in your personal development and growth! Oh the possibilities and the opportunities. The creativity. The connection you have to yourself, to others and to the world you live in.

Think about how lucky and how blessed you are to experience those moments that become a part of you! That help you learn, grow and experience. That make you smile and laugh! That help you just be and to be mindful and present. That give you pure bliss, joy and happiness!  

  • You have to seek what you need and want as well as what you dream and desire.
  • You have to be open to the opportunities and be willing to learn, grow and experience.
  • You have to learn how to believe and value as well as love and trust yourself.
  • You have to tune into your inner voice and tap into your inner self.
  • You have to nurture and nourish your whole well being.

It is wonderful when your inner being finds its voice again. It is amazing when your inner guidance system kicks in and you begin sending and receiving. It is amazing when you live your life by giving your inner being the opportunity to shine from within.

Remember to find your learning path to stay on course in those good times as well as the challenging times! To come from a place of love to follow your heart. To let your inner self guide by shining through to provide much needed light. To remind yourself to journey along and not rush or race from destination to destination!

Living It

The BEST Way for Your Whole Well Being

Jonathan Fields is the author of How to Live a Good Life: Soulful Stories, Surprising Science, and Pratical Wisdom. I like his candidness of moving through our lives on “autopilot busyness”. All those “dis” words we have and use in our vocabulary . . . disconnected, disengaged, dissatisfied.

Are we going through the motions to get through the daily grind? Do we have the knowledge and tools? Do we have the mindset and support? To live the good life!

Moving . . .

In my own mind I am thinking on my feet while I am truly tripping over my own two feet! I do not come from a place of grace or patience at times. I know I wish some days I could shift and adapt with more ease. I do need to stay in charge and tap into my strengths. I do need to do what works best for me too!

  • How do you live the talk you tell yourself?

What does a life well lived really mean to each and every one of us?

  • It is practice and progress.
  • It is passion and pursuit.
  • It is practical and you just be, go and do each and every day.

At times you know how and where to begin and other times you do not! Sometimes you have to hope, believe and trust in yourself. To have faith. To go with your instinct. To release and let go, especially in what you have no control over! 

  • How does one live life with direction and purpose?

At times you have to test the waters! To dip a big toe in. To wade in. To just go for it and jump in!

Testing . . .

At times there is going to be challenges, uncertainty and the fear of the unknown! You have to weigh the potential along with the risks. There is also achievement and success. You have to create and innovate to find what you love to do and truly discover your passions! 

  • How does one live life with action and impact?

Get curious and just grab life and live it! Embrace the life lessons and opportunities to develop, to experience growth and gain life experiences. Ask for what you need and want as well as dream and desire. Lean in with love to support yourself and your greatest someones. Everything you discover can be actionable and through the experience validates impact and meaning in living your life!

Life is like an exploration where you find your path to discover the gifts and treasures while journeying along!  Communicate, interact and engage. Cultivate, contribute and do your best. Love and be love and learn to share that love with others. Each day is a new start!

Focusing Inward

Reflecting & Redirecting

Do you know the percentage of time you spend focused on technology every day? Especially when technology assists you in your 8 to 5 job. Especially when you are waiting or bored. We spend a good majority of our time reacting to technology!

Technology has broaden our worlds. However, we react more than reflect and at times that gives us no sense of direction. Our attention and focus is so directed outwards with technology, especially cell phones, computers and technology devices and even televisions. Are we truly thinking for ourselves at times?

You lose your sense of direction throughout the day in responding to technology because it is distracting and disrupting! You need to remember to take the time to just be and shut if off for a few minutes throughout the day. When you take the time to step back it gives you clarity and a chance to regroup your thinking processes. You may even feel like a more productive, efficient being too!

How about directing that focus inward for a change of pace?

Focusing Inward . . .

Do you want to be a part of the world you are living in? Life does not have to happen to us if we learn how to take back the controls. To be in control of our lives, especially the choices and decisions we make on a daily basis. To be more present and mindful instead of looking to the future for the next latest and greatest! You can be in the present and prepare for your desired future. That is inspiration to find your passion to be purposeful. That is motivation to find what you love to do to be successful. 

  • Do you reflect at the end of the day, week or month? How?
  • Do you practice releasing and letting go, especially of what is not working for you or serving your best interests?

Journeying . . . Experiencing . . . Growing . . .

We all need to make the time for ourselves, especially in listening to our needs! You need to tune into your inner voice and tap into your inner knowledge, guidance and wisdom. That is where you find your passions and learn what you love to do. That is where you find your emotions, feelings and thoughts. That is where you find your connection to communicate, interact and engage.

  • Do you address your actions, behaviors, emotions, and/or feelings? What about your habits and routines? Anything need an adjustment, change and/or just do away with?
  • Do you know what makes you confident and empowered? Do you know what is holding you back or in place?

Being . . . Reflecting . . . Redirecting . . .

There are times where we need to zoom in and other times where we need to zoom out! Sometimes the details bog us down and we need to focus on a bigger scope. Sometimes the big picture is getting in the way of the details. A little reflection and redirection helps make things clearer! 

  • Do you look at the details as well as the big picture? Do you see the shades of gray among the black and white?

Remember to ask yourself each and every day!

  • Am I learning as well as making mistakes?
  • Am I creating?
  • Am I experiencing growth?
  • Am I gaining the life experiences I need and want as well as dream and desire?

By getting to know who you are and how you tick you get to know your whole self for the better! It can be loving and caring. It can be freeing and transforming. It can be rewarding in so many ways (i.e. health, happiness, abundance, etc.)!

Discovering Your Path

Why do we allow certain things that show up on our welcome mat and knock on the door into our lives? Then you wonder and ask yourself “Why is this showing up in my life?” Well you did let it in!

You lose control of creating that space for yourself. Those mental and physical blocks start popping up along with the insecurities and fears. The boundaries you have set are cracking and even at times coming down around you. Those great expectations form and become high and mighty!

It can be a JUNGLE Out There!

Remember to call a time out! Do a self check of what you need right here right now and do it for your whole well being. Stop beating yourself up! Lighten up and go easy on yourself. Most of all just let go of the struggle to realize where you are is where you need to be right now!

You are the one in charge of the controls! You have the choice to do or not to do. Think about the reasoning to do or not to do. Then make the decision that works best for you!

You have some things that come easy to you and other things that challenge you! Believe in yourself to give it a try instead of giving up right at the start. Believe that you deserve it and get after it. You can and you will!

The two things I practice each and every day is my patience and my strength. No one wants to do those things that are uncomfortable let alone hard. I really look for the lesson in those teachable moments to experience growth. There is no bigger reward then gaining life experiences and making those lifetime memories!

Every day is a NEW! day to start anew! Believe, value and trust in yourself and be true to who you are by living your life from within. Communicate, interact and connect to your whole being from within. Be open to the possibilities and opportunities to learn, experience growth and gain life experiences!

There will be good days and not so good days. You choose what kind of day you are going to have. You choose to adapt or react. You choose the positive or the negative. Every day will be different with opportunities, choices and experiences.

Some days strength, flexibility, balance, and patience eludes us! It is okay to admit a weakness or that you are struggling with something. It is okay to ask for help. Be honest with yourself and ask for what you need! 

We all are on our own journey! Listen to your inner guidance system. Pay attention to the signs. Ask for directions as well as help if needed. Adventure On!
