About cravesadventure

I love to adventure to new places to create new life experiences.

Experiences Are Part of Your Story

Creating Your Story One Experience, One Moment, One Chapter At A Time

You find your path and define it as you go along. Your path sets you on the course to journey along. Those experiences and those moments become a part of the story you create.

Journeying Along . . .

  • There are times you have to ask for help along the way. This helps you communicate, interact, connect, and engage.
  • There are times you have to ask for directions. This helps you in stopping to process. This helps you in pausing to breathe. This helps you redirect.
  • There are times you have to unpack and regroup; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. This helps you create space and set boundaries. This also helps you learn how to release and let go of what is no longer working or serving your best interests.

Opening Up . . . Being . . . Letting Go . . .

It can be uncomfortable to open yourself up, however; vulnerability helps you grow and evolve! Being vulnerable is okay and not a weakness or flaw. It can become an essential part of who you are and how you express yourself by living from within your being! Humility goes a long way too.

We all experience the good, the bad, at times the ugly, and everything in between! You can be in control of how you make decisions and choices. You can be in control of how you respond and react. It can serve you or sabotage you and you choose which one it will be!

Make the time to slow down and be more! All that rushing about. All those excuses about not having the time. Stop the “busyness” – your 20’s turn into your 40’s and your 40’s into your 80’s before your own eyes in hurrying and rushing about to the next and the next and the next!

Sink Your Toes Into the Sand!

Remember . . .

  • MAKE Time For Yourself. Make the space you need for you and your whole well being.
  • DO What You Love. Find the fun and play as well as the joy and happiness.
  • TAKE Note of the Beauty Around You. Practice to progress . . . Be grateful, appreciative and thankful . . . Celebrate more . . .
  • EMBRACE Your Journey. Explore, adventure, travel . . . Communicate and interact as well as engage and connect . . . Learn, experience growth and gain life experiences . . .

Your Whole Being Will Thank You & You Will Feel Better In Your Health and Happiness! What Are You Doing for Your Whole Being? Love to Hear, Please Share.

Start At The Beginning

Build From There . . .

I have been thinking and questioning lately.

  • What Brings You Joy?
  • What Challenges You In A Good Way?
  • What Makes You Want to Experience Life?

In essence “How do we live life each and every day?”! You have to begin laying that foundation to build from. You have to tune into your inner sense of direction and tap into your internal compass. You have to figure out where you are going, especially when you do not know your destination and where to even start!

One place to start is figuring out what gives you energy! Getting curious and exploring. Stretching your comfort zone in trying new things. Discovering what you love to do!

In giving yourself energy you want to connect and engage to what is going on around you! You gain focus, become more aware and pay attention more. You start communicating, interacting and connecting, especially with the skill set, experience and knowledge that you already have at hand!

Think about what engages you, especially when you have the energy! That knowing in what to do and how to do it. There is nothing better than finding your flow!

What activities energize and engage you?

  • To be in that moment.
  • To be completely focused and involved.
  • To be in that place that either calms you or brings you joy, pleasure and happiness.
  • To be sucked in that you lose track of time.
  • To be excited and engaged.
  • To be having FUN!

Here’s A Little Inspiration and Motivation!

Manifesting

Putting My Word for 2017 Into Action

What does manifesting mean to you? Love to Hear, Please Share!

20150413_145606
Getting to the Heart . . .

For me it is a multitude of things.

  • Putting the “over” on the down low and remembering to keep it simple.
  • Being more . . . mindful, present, aware, grateful, focused, thankful, etc.
  • Becoming a better person and putting my best self out there each and every day.
  • Doing more of what I love because it inspires, motivates and drives me to get out there to experience life.
  • Coming from a place of love and following my heart’s needs and wants as well as dreams and desires.

Here is how I am putting my word, manifesting, into action for 2017!

My Top 5

  • Capturing
  • Creating
  • Focusing
  • Stretching
  • Wandering

Capturing

Do you make time to dream, imagine, visualize? What do you do with those thoughts (i.e. vision board, picture book, inspiration cloud, etc.)?

Focus on the now! What do you need and want as well as crave and desire? Think about manifesting! Imagine and picture yourself going after it. Nurture, nourish, drive, and fuel IT!

232323232-fp83232-ydnpcuvbwsnrcgu-7;4-nu=3235-563--;3-WSNRCG=37-5-5624-325nu0mrj
Focusing In & On . . .

Creating

Do you have a hobby? Do you give yourself the time and the space to enjoy that hobby?

Unleash your creative being! It can boost your mood, energy and spirit. It can give you inspiration and motivation as well as reflection and relaxation. It can get your whole being flowing and moving again. Remember to tap into your creative side!

DSC_0034
Creating . . .

Focusing

Do you ever feel like you do not multitask well? I do, so you are not alone. At times multitasking is overload for the mind and body coordination and may create errors, burn out, disruption, distraction, etc. Think about how your whole being feels doing one thing at a time!

Yes you can do anything you put your mind, body and soul into, however; you cannot do everything! Remember that!

Practice being present and focusing in on the now and what deserves your attention! Build a healthier and happier relationship with yourself in setting boundaries, creating space and giving yourself a little slack too. Your whole being will thank you for unplugging and giving it some much needed R&R!

Big Picture to the Details and Everything In Between!!!

Stretching

Do you stretch your comfort zone to try new things?

  • To travel and adventure.
  • To explore and experiment.
  • To connect and engage.
  • To communicate to interact.
  • To learn to develop.
  • To experience growth to gain experiences.

dsc_0137
Filling Your Bucket . . .

It may be a little uncomfortable at times to stretch, but with practice you will figure out what you like and do not like to feel more at ease! You may become more flexible and adaptable. You may want to take a little risk in exploring and experimenting in trying new things. You learn to not be so fearful or afraid in making mistakes and learn a little humility when it comes to failures. Get out there, go for it and embrace the challenges and the successes!

Wandering

My favorite form of reflection, relaxation and/or meditation is wandering! aka Escaping to the Great Outdoors. I refresh and recharge my whole being. I feel like a better person too!

Happy Adventuring!!!

Healthier Whole Being

Wintertime

How do you practice being a healthier whole being in the winter months?

Your whole being can shift in the winter months. The days are colder, darker and shorter. Your energy and mood can shift from low to high and everything in between. Some people are coming off the excitement of the holidays. Some people are trying to ramp up into that healthier lifestyle in eating good and being active.

dsc_0569

Focus

Focus on the right here, right now! The big picture can be exciting as well as overwhelming. It is okay to break it down to focus on the little things and take baby steps. It becomes more realistic and achievable. Remember to celebrate along the way too! It will help you stay focused and that becomes inspiration and motivation to keep going.

There is nothing better than being present in the moment to experience and make memories to reminisce about later on! Plus that is added inspiration and motivation too!

Practice

Please go easy on yourself in giving your whole being some much needed love, kindness and comfort! Make time for you. Give back to yourself. Treat yourself. DO what works BEST for YOU!

In being hard or beating yourself up it takes a toll on you and your whole being! It does not have to be all or nothing. It is not a one time thing and you have to think in terms of what you do most days to give back to yourself and your whole well being. Give yourself a break and create a little slack too!

Do we really need to add anymore stress, anxiety, frustration, tension . . . I would hope NOT!

DSC_0453

Rest

You need to make time to relax and get plenty of rest. Remind yourself to take 5 minutes, 15 minutes or even up to 30 minutes to unwind before going to sleep. Hit that snooze button in the morning and take that time to stretch and wake up. Put the blue light on the down low too (i.e. phone, TV, etc.). Think restorative sleep versus restless sleep because quality is more important than quantity! Yes you may sleep six to eight hours, but was it restorative. Sleep smarter!

One thing I do for myself at times is to wake naturally on a weekend day. No setting of the alarm. No waking up early to slug through what needs to get done and to run here and there. No hurry either and just take that time for yourself!

Here’s To Taking Care of Your Whole Well Being & Making Time for You! Love to Hear Your Thoughts, Please Share.

Fred Howard Park

Hello! The Gulf of Mexico

The park consists of 155 acres and is located on the Gulf of Mexico. You get to the park by going over the mile long causeway.  The views are spectacular!

dsc_0030dsc_0003dsc_0027

White sandy beaches. We enjoyed the beach and swimming area. Birds, dolphins and manatees. We saw plenty of seagulls.

dsc_0001dsc_0024dsc_0020dsc_0019

The landscape of the park is impressive! Sea grass beds to wetlands to mangrove estuaries to salterns to coastal scrub to long leaf and slash pine flatwoods to turkey oak to long leaf pine sandhill. Plus the various species of birdlife and wildlife.

dsc_0015dsc_0006dsc_0012

There is a $5 daily parking fee and pay via an automated pay station. There are picnic shelters available that require a reservation. There are plenty of restrooms, rinse stations and beach showers.

The park was dedicated on April 16, 1966 and today there is almost 2 million visitors to the park annually. Fred Howard was elected the Mayor of Tarpon Springs in 1945 and served as a City Commissioner. He also was the Vice Chairman of the Pinellas County Park Board for more than 30 years.

Happy Exploring!!!

The Osprey Trail

Honeymoon Island State Park

Decided to go on an exploration to see the Eagle Pair at Honeymoon Island State Park. Did not see the Eagles, however; their nest was pretty impressive!

“The 2015-16 season was the 8th consecutive year for eagles to nest on the island. This new nest is the first time eagles have reestablished nesting on the island since the 1935 homestead nest.”

Eagle Facts:

  • May live up to 40 years.
  • Eggs are laid 36 hours apart and both male and female incubate the eggs.
  • Average gestation period is 35 days with eggs hatching one at a time 36 hours apart.
  • The chicks are called Eaglets and remain in the nest for 10 to 12 weeks.
  • Both parents feed the Eaglets.

Those Eagles have some exact timing when it comes to laying and to hatching their Eaglets!

I have lived here long enough now to know the call of the Ospreys. It makes my ears tune in and my eyes focused on the trees or skies every time.

These trees are perfect places to build an Osprey nest. Also, Ospreys build and repair nests by snapping off dead limbs in flight instead of collecting downed wood from the ground.

Your Heart’s Desire

Coming From A Place of Love

In Following Your Heart

To make each day a new day to start anew! Is a true blessing to appreciate and to be grateful and thankful for. To find the inspiration and motivation to be, to do and to just get out there! To treat each and every day as a gift to treasure. To be present, mindful and make every moment count!

The magical: By dreaming and desiring you develop, experience growth and gain experiences.

The reality: With determination, drive and hard work that your dreams can come true in focusing on what you need, want, crave, and most of all desire.

dsc_0338
One BIG World Out There!

There is nothing more inspiring and motivating than visualizing your dreams and focusing on your desires!  To find your strength within the challenges and the courage to continue on. To discover your heart’s desire by finding your loves and passions. To do what is true and best for you and your whole well being!

  • To communicate, interact, connect, and engage your whole being.
  • To nurture and nourish your whole well being.
  • To be true and honest with yourself
  • To believe, value and trust in who you are.
  • To learn, experience growth and gain life experiences.

dsc_0300
Being Your Own Captain . . .

Do you ask yourself what you want to focus your energy on? It is important to focus your energies on inspiration and determination as well as what motivates and drives you. Do you give it enough time and attention? It is important to create the time and space you need, especially to do more of what you love to do.

Think about how you dream and if you dream big enough or not! Think about your desires and if they challenge you enough to be you, do well and make you feel good. Think about how your dreams and desires make you curious to explore and discover your loves and passions as well as your potential and power. Think about how your dreams and desires make you feel, especially in making your heart joyful and your being happy!

Then get out there and pursue more of it! It does you good to hope, wish and dream. It does you good to go after what you need and want as well as crave and desire. Your desires are worthy of your time and energy to pursue if they are true to you and who you are!

Honeymoon Island

State Park

A Florida State Park located on Honeymoon Island, a barrier island across St. Joseph’s Sound from Palm Harbor, Ozona and Crystal Beach. The park is 385 acres in land area with 2,400 acres submerged and 4 miles of beach. Honeymoon Island was formerly known as Hog Island.

The American public were introduced to Honeymoon Island in the early 1940’s. The advertisements promised undiscovered pleasures for newlyweds. Honeymoon-type huts were built on the island for vacationing. Hence Hog Island became Honeymoon Island.

Then World War II began and the thatched huts fell into disuse. The structures were torn down as the island was turned into a state park. A causeway was constructed in 1964 leading to the island.

Located in the Gulf of Mexico across St. Joseph Sound to the west of Dunedin, Florida and north of Clearwater Beach. Caladesi Island is not its own island, but shares its island geography with Clearwater Beach.

dsc_0338
The Gulf of Mexico

There is a ferry from Honeymoon Island out to Caladesi Island. There is a dock on Honeymoon Island to launch private boats to go out to the island. You can also walk to the island via Clearwater Beach from the south; it is only separated by a “welcome” sign.

Hurricane Elena filled in Dunedin Pass in 1985 marking the island accessible by walking northward from North Clearwater Beach.

Found It!

The Word I Have Been Looking For

I have been in a writing rut lately and for about a month I have had a word escape the fore front of my mind to end up stuck on the tip of my tongue. I cannot remember the word though that escaped until recently when it shouted out to me. This will be my word for 2017!

MANIFEST

What do you do with what you hope and wish for? Want and crave? Dream and desire? Visualize the details to the big picture?

You take it and manifest it aka Go For It & Do It! Then Manifest More of it!

We all are capable of attracting what we need through our decisions and choices! You have to step out of your way and stop putting obstacles up. You have to release resistance by tuning into your insecurities and fears by coming from a place of love and from within yourself. We are all capable of attracting abundance in our lives by manifesting it!

Not only do you create the space you need, you set the boundaries too! Find your path to journey along. Create your story chapter by chapter. Discover the life that you MANIFEST each and every day by doing and going for it!

  • My biggest take away from 2016 is having to remind myself to slow down and keep it more simple.
  • The best advice I received in 2016 is that it is less traumatic when you make mistakes daily instead of one day having one mistake that just trips you up and knocks you down.
  • Most of all is LOVE as well as being appreciative, thankful and grateful for what you do have in your life!

If I learned anything in 2016 it was that the work continues! Really think about what is optimal and sustainable for you and what works best for you too. Then start doing it! In a short period of time you may see a difference in your productivity and energy. It is okay to slow the pace down at times and take the time to relax and rest!

You are worthy and you are deserving! You have to be open to receiving what the world has to offer you by learning, experiencing growth and gaining life experiences. Remember that!

Also Remember  . . .

  • Schedule you into your week by taking 5 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour to be with yourself.
  • Move your body every hour (i.e. stretch, get out of your chair, take the stairs, go for a walk, etc.).
  • Make time to play and have some much deserved fun time.
  • Find that quiet place to take a few minutes to relax, recharge, release, and rest.
  • Practice self-care in being and doing for you and your whole well being.
  • Take time off for your health and sanity.

What Are You Going to Manifest in 2017? Love to Hear, Please Share!
