Do You Hear It?

The Call Of Nature

I love connecting and becoming one with nature! It is blissful and peaceful. It is relaxing and rejuvenating. It is restful and reenergizing. It is beauty and ecstasy on the senses and the whole being!

  • Do you crave and desire the natural elements around you?
  • Do you embrace and revel in the natural beauty around you?
  • Do you have a relationship with the natural and the nature around you?

I crave the colors in nature! The Reds and Pinks. The Oranges and Yellows. The Greens, Blues and Purples. I am tuned into the light in nature and how the light changes throughout the day! The sun rising and the sun setting and everything in between. I am drawn to the water elements in nature! The color of the water and the movement and motion of water. The waves rolling in and back out again.

I love green spaces as well as the green in fauna and flora! Nothing better than bare feet and soft grass. There is just something about the color green after it rains in it being brighter and bolder in color. It just calls to me to use my senses and speaks to me on all levels of my whole being!

I love looking at the sky! The clouds. The surprise of a rainbow or the sky turning other colors amongst the blues. The moon and the stars. The fresh, clean air!

I enjoy building a fire and gathering around! Be it a campfire or a fireplace. It is a place to unwind and relax. It is a place connect, laugh, have a good time, and make lasting memories!

I love getting outside with the earth under my feet! Hitting the trail and going on an adventure. Exploring with my camera in hand. Just communing, interacting and connecting with the great outdoors!

I love engaging all of my senses! The sounds of nature and the great outdoors. What can be seen and what cannot be seen. That connection to the wild side of life!

Wild Imagination

Reading

Do you read? What is it about reading that you enjoy?

I love reading! I can let my imagination go wild. I can escape and get lost in reading a good book. I can learn new words and writing styles!

I enjoy a good narrator in telling a story! I can listen and connect to the story being told. I feel like I am a part of the story when I start thinking about what I would do if I was the main character in the story. I love when a story speaks to my whole being!

Writing

Do you write? What is it about writing that you enjoy?

I love writing stories and adding pictures! I started blogging and writing for myself and it has expanded from there. I like sharing experiences with myself and with other people. I enjoy using my voice and expressing myself!

I love capturing my memories and my experiences through writing and photography! I can see where I have been as well as reflect on those memories and experiences. I feel a sense of belonging to myself and my world; my identity, my history and my family. I feel I connect to my sense of self and to who I am and where I am going!

I love connecting with others and creating relationships! I love being a part of the blogging community and building those relationships. I especially love when those relationships become friendships! I enjoy being around creative people because it inspires and motivates me to create, share and produce stories of experiences.

I enjoy the creativity of the writing! I like when the writing draws me in and I want to read more. I like being made to think and ponder. I enjoy being able to relate to myself and others through writing and sharing. I find writing healing and cathartic for my whole being!

Reading and writing peaks my curiosity and sets my imagination off! I experience connection and engagement. My brain is stimulated and my mind is engaged! I experience growth and transformation. I am listening from within, connecting to my heart and conversing with soul!

I experience the opening and the expanding of my world to the NEW!

Everything Is Connected III

Being Grounded

I am going to bring Feng Shui elements into this post. I like looking into the relationship between the physical and the mental when it comes to the whole being. How that communication, interaction and connection takes place within one’s self. The development and growth to better flow and transition with the constant flux of living one’s life!

These elements have a connection to the whole being when it comes to energy and balance! The positive energy and the negative energy. Strengths and Weaknesses; Balance. Nurture and Nourishment. Develop, Growth and Experiences!


The Elements

The Five Elements

  • Earth
  • Fire
  • Metal
  • Water
  • Wood

“Each element manifests and radiates energy in the form of Chi.”

Energy of the Elements

  • Earth – grants stability to create a strong foundation to build from.
  • Fire – enthusiasm and expansionism.
  • Metal – mental strength.
  • Water – rejuvenates the body and spirit.
  • Wood – creative and developing energy.


Earth . . . Wood . . . Water . . .

The Wood element speaks to me and my own personal development and growth; mentally and physically! I am an independent and strong willed individual. I tend to not give in or give up and tend to continue on and keep trying.

For instance, I like checking out trees when in the great outdoors! I look at the roots, the bark, the leaves, etc. I enjoy the cycle from barren to budding to leafing out in shades and hues of green, and the changing of colors! I look at the way the light hits the tree or comes through the leaves. I wonder how many seasons, changes and life cycles the trees have gone through.

I am drawn to the Water elements around me! Water is unpredictable. It can be calm and peaceful and it can be chaotic and raging. I crave water elements when I need to find my calm, collected self! It relaxes me to slow down the pace and even to rest. It refreshes, reenergizes and renews my whole being!

For instance, I love being near water! I enjoy taking a stroll or putting my feet in. I like hearing the sounds that water makes. I like how water changes with light as well as weather.


Water

What I Do For My Whole Being

  • Physically – stay active on a daily basis and exercise throughout the week.
  • Mentally – stimulate, engage and strengthen my mind through inspiration, creativity and positivity.
  • Mentally – learn, challenge, develop, and grow every day.
  • Emotionally – communicate, interact, and connect with my feelings, emotions and thoughts.
  • Spiritually – nurture and nourish through awareness, mindfulness, appreciation and gratitude.

Being Grounded

Have you ever found yourself existing to survive versus thriving, growing and living?

I have and it is not really a comfortable place to be in!

Building

Have you ever found yourself breaking yourself down instead of building yourself up?

I have and it is not a healthy or happy place to be in!

Finding

How do you find balance and feel grounded when you are off balance?

I know for me I need to take back the controls and take charge again! I need to make a decision to either be okay with it or take action to change it. I need to find my balance as well as my sense of safety and security. I need to connect to my “happy medium” once again!

Connecting

How do you communicate, interact and connect to yourself, your needs and your whole being?

I am learning that I need to connect from within myself! I am the only person that can do that for me too. I am learning to take time for myself to take care of myself, my needs and my whole being!  It is so important and it matters in strengthening my coping skills to deal and handle what is going on in my life.

I connect to my whole being through the flow of my energy!

Balancing

I know for me balance keeps moving up on my priority list! I feel better about myself and I feel happier and healthier when I have balance in my life. When I feel grounded and balanced I feel stronger in everything I do in living my life! I feel the love and the connection with myself from the inside out.

I find balance by looking inward to direct that flow of energy from my feet to my head!

Inner Guidance System (IGS)

Connecting From Within

There are no instructions, no map and no manual in the game of life!

I have to learn how to steer, navigate and guide myself! It is doable and actionable if I lead from within myself. I have to communicate, interact and connect with my inner compass or inner guidance system! It is possible if I live from the inside out.

My inner compass guides me by:

  • Listening to my inner voice and leading me from within.
  • Following my heart and loving my whole being.
  • Believing in myself and trusting my gut instincts.

I am not good with directions or navigation in the real world and then I have to do it for myself too! Life is in a state of constant flux and the directions are ever changing. Talk about scary and exciting all rolled into one! Changing directions is one thing and then there is the fear of the unknown. Which way to go?

I have been thinking more about where I am at instead of where I think I should be! I need to embrace the present and stop thinking about the next thing and the next thing in the future. I need to be right here, right now! I need to accept that waiting for and wanting more right now is a waste of my time and energy. I am missing out on what is right in front of me!

I know in my heart and in my being that I am right where I need to be to get to where I want to be! I need a ton of patience though to just be and live moment to moment each and every day. I do have the potential to grow and in order to grow I have to be in the moment, be open and embrace the possibilities and opportunities. I want to and I am willing to learn and experience life!

  • What is important to me and what matters to me?
  •  How do I define myself to me, myself and I?
  • What works best for me?

I have to be true to who I am in everything I do!

I need to ask myself questions and seek out the answers! I need to communicate and listen to myself. I need to connect to my whole being. I need to continually challenge myself and be curious!

I practice self love! I have faith, believe in and trust myself. A major part of being true to myself and knowing who I am starts with loving my whole being. I take the approach that I fit in as I am! That acceptance is the greatest gift I can give myself.

I have that internal direction and guidance that I can tune into and tap into when I need it!

I am learning to come from a place of love instead of fear! I have to get out of my head, follow my heart and move my feet forward. That first step is key in getting started and taking action in living the life I want for myself! It can be a liberating process and a freeing experience when I am open to it and not closed off.

I practice personal growth! I look at situations in my life as growth opportunities. It is about working on it and figuring it out! I learn life lessons from those teachable moments and gain life experiences. It is about changing and transforming into a better version of myself!

Doing more of what I love!

I am working on my other core, the inner core! I am either in alignment with my core in being true to myself or I create distance in moving away from who I am at times. I do not function well when I am not being true and trusting myself. I feel a disconnect and a discord within my whole being!

When I release and let go I am letting the NEW! into my life! There is a time and place for everyone and everything and it will run its course in due time.  I feel much better about myself in surrendering and accepting instead of pushing and pulling to get someone or something to work out!

It makes me feel good and gives me happiness!

Cultivating

To Experience Growth

A BIG part of a journey of self is going within yourself to discover more about yourself and who you are!

Loving

A good place to start is in loving yourself and putting your love and your heart first and foremost in pretty much anything and everything you do! Do more of what you love and love to do. Find out what you are passionate about and do that!

Cultivating

Your happiness is cultivated from within yourself! Taking time to be with yourself. Calm and solace. Releasing and letting go. Nurturing happiness and nourishing healthiness!

 Being

Just being more in the present moment and enjoying the process of taking it one minute, one moment at a time! Slowing down and just being one with yourself. Soaking up the simpler life for a change of pace. It feels good when you do that for your whole being!

Communicating & Connecting

There is a freedom and a balance in being able to communicate as well as connect with your whole being! It is such a teachable moment in learning how to experience growth as a person. It is so worth the work you put into yourself and your whole being!

Interacting

  • Get curious and explore.
  • Wish, hope and dream.
  • Inspire, motivate and create.
  • Laugh and have FUN!
  • Adventure and then Adventure some more.

Approach life more like a kid and make the time to have fun and play more!

Making the MOST

I find in taking time for myself in the morning I start my day with intention! I am open to the possibilities and opportunities. I find in taking time for myself in the evening that I end my day with gratitude! I have those teachable moments and lessons to be learned from those possibilities and opportunities.

To journey along to create my story, to make memories and to gain those valuable life experiences!

Heart Of The Matter

Coming From A Place Of

Love By Following

Your Heart

In listening to my inner voice and not my mind I find my calm, peaceful self! In listening to my inner voice I believe and trust in myself and my gut instincts. In listening to and following my heart I find my passions. In finding my passions I discover more about myself and who I am!

Connecting

When I connect with myself from within and from my heart I feel like I can do anything! I can let my guard down and open my heart more to myself and to others. I am able to share and create space for myself and for others. The possibilities and the opportunities are out there waiting for me!

I am loving and embracing as well as forgiving and accepting! I can communicate, interact and connect better and connect on a deeper level. I am able to come from a place of love instead of fear. That makes me feel good about myself and the life I am living!

Healing

In being able to connect with myself from within and from my heart I have the capacity to heal myself! . I can tune into myself from within when dealing with pain and hurt. I can tap into my coping skills and start the healing process. I have the ability to cope better in what I am being faced with!

Loving

There is something to be said about loving myself and being passionate! I can immerse myself in the moment. I can make life memories and experiences. I can fuel my heart and feed my soul. I can find my true path, journey along and create my story!

Loving myself is being able to love my whole being, deserving to feel love and that I am worthy of love! It is being able to be open, embrace, accept, and experience. It is being able to forgive and heal. It is being able to cope, deal and handle the constant flux that is called living my life!

Discovering

I discover more when I go in eyes wide and heart open! I see the details as well as the big picture. I do find myself a little guarded and protective when I let my guard down to follow my heart. However, I do want to live my life with an open heart though to let the richness, goodness and happiness in!

Working It Out

By Communicating,

Connecting and Interacting

I have been experiencing too much stress in my life lately! So not good for my whole being. My emotional health is just as important as my physical health. I am really trying to practice at the end of the day to release and just let go of all that “stuff”!

Everything is connected and has a direct impact on my whole being! I have to address the issues I am experiencing. This includes dealing with my emotions, feelings and thoughts. This includes controlling my crazy mind and giving myself some much needed love. It means putting myself back in the power seat and making a major commitment to myself to be in control! To be the one that makes the choices, the decisions and the changes in living my life!

I can play the victim or be my own hero in living this crazy life! I need to tune into what gives me motivation and energy. I need to tap into my curiosity. I need to connect with my values and my beliefs as well as my faith and my spiritual self. Just do away with all that “stuff” that I end up using to create unnecessary problems for myself!

I have been closing myself off, resisting and holding myself back! I am exhausted and need to do away with the worry, the anger, the anxiety, and just the pressure I put on myself. I do not like that person. I do not want to be stuck in this holding pattern any longer!

I need to engage, communicate, interact, and connect, especially with myself again! I want to start new every day and be more in the present moment. I want to be able to focus on the task at hand and enjoy the process. Live for the moment and make lifetime memories!

My Top 3 Practices To Get Back On My Path

  1. Give myself personal space to just be with myself and reset my personal boundaries.
  2. Get curious and explore and adventure.
  3. Let go and release that “stuff” that takes up space, is not important and does not matter.

At Least a Happy Medium

For me my happy place is not structural! It is the place I put the daily grind, the worries and the stressors on the down low and/or away for a while. I just want to have a moment to myself!

It is a place that I can . . .

  •  Just be.
  • Be myself and be with myself.
  • Take time for myself to take care of my needs and my well being.
  • Connect with myself and my whole being.
  • Unplug and unwind.
  • Relax and rest.
  • Be creative.
  • To escape reality and dream.
  • Get cozy and curl up with a great read.
  • Release and let go.
  • Recharge and reenergize.
  • Feeling good by connecting with myself and loving myself.

Some people call it soul! Other people call it faith!

How Do You Tune In and

Tap Into Your Spiritual Side?

I am not the best at it, but I try! I call it listening to myself and following my heart. I call it paying attention to my gut and my intuition. I call it believing in and trusting in myself!

How Do You Act On That Connection

With Your Spiritual Side?

I either act and go or I resist and ignore when my spiritual side is trying to guide me! I usually get that feeling of persistence in that I should be aware of someone or something. Sometimes I get that ding, ding alarm bell. Other times I just feel as if it is speaking directly and loudly to me to wake up and pay attention already!

I know at times I end up in more trouble then I imagined because I did not listen to myself from the inside out! My mind is taking charge and taking over control instead. I need to tune in and tap into my soul/spirit and my faith a little more, especially in reconnecting with my whole being again! This is one reason I feel a disconnect with myself at times.

I have lost that connection in living from the inside out and believing in my faith! I am lost, dazed and confused. I do not like the feeling of being out of touch and not being able to find that middle ground. I find myself searching and seeking for more in living my life, especially in my wants. It is sad to say, but it happens!

How Do You Know What Is Best For You?

I am navigationally challenged, so I tend to focus on landmarks instead of signs! I am starting to pay more attention to those signs though. Sometimes the meaning means nothing to me and it makes me stop to think! It can be a clearing of the mind, opening up the heart, freeing of the spirit experience.

Who and What Do You Listen To?

I do not do well with being uncomfortable and uncertain! Especially of the unknown and the final outcome. I am learning to lean into that discomfort. I am finding that love trumps fear if I open up and listen to my whole being!

How Do You Find The Direction You Need?

I try really hard not to fall in the trap of could, should and would! I feel like I give myself the excuse to not be committed. I like can and will better! I feel like it is possible to believe in myself and give myself a 100%.
