Manifesting Grit

Strength of Self

You know you are the creator of your journey, right! Creating your story. Capturing your moments. Experiencing. Knowing your “whys” to go after what you need and want as well as crave and desire!

It comes from within too! That inner voice that speaks from the heart as well as the gut. That inner energy to be and to do what is best for you and your whole, well being. That inner sense of self and staying true to who you are!

  • Your inner character.
  • Your inner strength of self.
  • Your inner being.

Each of us has a different relationship with our inner selves!

  • How you ask for help and guidance.
  • How you seek approval.
  • How you see your self and how you project and present your self.
  • How you treat and value yourself.
  • How you check in with your self.

How do you tune into your integrity and tap into your grit! Believing, trusting and valuing yourself. Communicating and connecting to yourself. Loving you for you! 

Think about how to guide yourself to where you want to be! There are times you try to “keep up” with others. There are times you need to do for you and what you need. In those times you have to think about what you value and what truly matters to you! 

  • What do you truly need? Are you going after it?
  • What do you truly know, especially about yourself and your “whys” in going after what you need?
  • Where do you want to spend your time and energies?
  • What really has meaning to you that truly matters the most?
  • What do you enjoy that makes you happy and gives you pleasure?

You really tap into that self belief and that self trust! Think about taking in your own personal counsel when making decisions. That self check and self referral! It gives you independence and empowerment. In the end you know what is best for you!

Really make the time to check in with you!

  • What is working?
  • Are you creating that space to just be for you?
  • Are you letting go and releasing what is no longer serving you and your best interests?
  • Are you truly addressing your emotions, feelings and thoughts?
  • Are you really listening and being aware in what needs your attention?

How do you go about making it happen?

  • Dreaming and desiring.
  • Imagining and creating.
  • Experiencing the NEW!

Do you make time for you? You need to!

What do you love to do with the time you make for yourself?

  • Doing more of what you love.
  • Turning your focus inward.
  • Working on development and growth.
  • Playing, laughing and having fun.
  • Anything, NOTHING and every thing in between.

Remember to relax, kick back and daydream! It helps you pause to reflect as well as release and let go. It helps you imagine and tune into your creative being. It helps you set intentions to achieve your goals!

Remember to ask yourself your “whys” to answer your needs and desires! Listen to your inner voice and let it guide you. Tune into your creative being to set yourself to flow freely. Really tap into what you love to drive your motivations, passions and ambitions! 

No matter how much time you spend (i.e. 5 minutes, a few hours, etc.) just remember to be consistent and committed to carving out that time for yourself! You will start to see the progress as well as the results. You will start to feel relaxed, re-energized, refreshed, and recharged. You will have started a new practice for yourself to learn and develop as well as experience growth and gain experiences!

Embracing Failure

With Grace & Humility

I am a confident being, however; I still struggle with failure, especially those embarrassing moments of failure! I do not know if I have the grace and humility to be willing to make a fool of myself to become great at times. I have had plenty of practice – ha!

  • How do you embrace failures, especially the embarassing ones?
  • How do you find the courage to overcome and move on?
  • How do you care, especially about yourself in those failures?

Is it confidence that keeps you going in those moments! It is a lesson in humility and being humble. How seriously do you take the situation as well as yourself in the situation!

When I do an embarassing fail I try to take a comedic approach to it all and laugh at myself! That is where the humility comes into play. However, I still take a punch to my confident self! It can be a humbling experience at times.

It is courage that powers you through! It is a lesson in how you handle the situation. Do you have control or not? Do you have something to prove or not? Do you embrace it, accept it and keep moving forward? So far it is a survivable event and tomorrow is a new day to start again!

I know when I have failed I try to learn from the experience and try really hard to never repeat it again! I know I have gained new skills. I know I have strengthened my weaknesses. I know I have gained a valuable life lesson and experience!

It is strength and resilience that helps you handle everything life throws at you! To cope and to forgive. To grow and discover your strong. It makes you into the person you are today, especially the belief and trust you have in yourself.

It is mind over matter! Listening to your mind and overthinking things. Making assumptions and thinking people are judging you. Taking it personally. The mind can play tricks on you!

Instead listen to your heart and come from a place of love to help you through those tough situations! In learning to help yourself you can help others. Being patient and embracing life lessons. Learning to forgive yourself by valuing, believing and trusting in yourself.

Ask Yourself . . .

  • Are you on the path you need to be on?
  • Do you need to make a decision to change direction?
  • Do you need to make a choice or choices for the better in doing what works best for you?

Remember you are in charge and need to be the Captain! Do what matters to you. Do more of what you love to do. Do for YOU!

Sense of Self

Practicing Self . . .

How do you practice self? To tune into and tap into your sense of self! 

Self Control

  • Take charge and be in control of you.
  • Set boundaries for yourself.
  • Make good choices and decisions for yourself.
  • Take responsibility for your choices and actions.
  • Take responsibility for your decisions and the consequences.

When you make good choices and decisions you improve, change and grow! You practice and learn and then do it all over again. If you do not like the end result then choose differently!

The best boundary you can set for yourself is knowing how to state no! In setting boundaries for yourself, you are valuing yourself. Others know what is acceptable to you and how to treat you. You matter and boost your self worth!

Self Strengths

You physical strong helps your emotional strength! You and your whole being are stronger than you think and give yourself credit for. We all are “discovering our strong”! Practicing and learning your strengths helps you build a solid foundation to experience personal growth from. Once you realize your inner strength(s) there is nothing that you cannot do! 

You self strengths include relaxation and rest as well as using your energies effectively and efficiently! How do you slow down? How do you connect to your whole being? What is your outlet; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually!

Self Knowing

Your inner voice, the trust you have in yourself and following your gut instinct! That inner knowing and how to trust it and to voice your truth. Practice trusting what you know and believing in yourself!

You define your worth and you can learn to love yourself and your whole being! Your beliefs and values. Your voice to express yourself. You can and do for YOU!

It is important to teach yourself how to trust your own intuition!

I recently read an article about the inner bond that you have with yourself! I have not thought about it like that before and it got me thinking. Where was that when I lost myself a bit a few years back. Practicing that connection that you have with yourself and your personal source of truth!

Being able to find and follow that path back again and again in trusting yourself, especially when you have lost that trust in yourself! It helps you cope and be more resilient. It really changes everything around when it seems a little upside down! The trust as well as the belief in yourself and how you value and stay true to who you are. Mind Blown!

You are in control! You make better decisions and choices. You see right and wrong with clarity. You listen to yourself more than others in making those decisions and choices that serve you best! 

You tap into your gut instincts and intuitions! You tune into your inner voice. You have the ability to come from a place of love and tone down the fear better. Your inner guidance and radar system starts kicking in to better warn you!

That is Self Growth On the Highest Level!

Self Love

What do you like or even love about yourself? Your qualities and assets. Your talents and gifts.

Practice self love and self care. Practice self compassion and self gratitude.

Being honest and true to who you are! Especially in believing and in trusting yourself. Being self aware and self confident. Who you are and who you want to be? 

Self Compassion

Practicing and learning self compassion is about loving you and your whole being!

Love and compassion. Care and support. Kindness and positiveness. Forgiveness and acceptance.

Self compassion helps you cope and build resilience! You have your own back. You are your own best friend and cheerleader. You are your biggest supporter in going after what it is you need to live the life you love!

Resetting

One’s Life

2015 for me was about “resetting” my life!

I felt like I needed a change! I knew it needed to be major, bold and big though. Like a giant kick in the pants kind of change! 

It was the BEST decision reset I have made! Moving from Out West to the Southeast. Exploring and adventuring. Settling in and making friends. Looking for a place to call home. The NEW!ness of it all is refreshing!

The greatest gift of “resetting” for me is that I am healthier as well as happier! Finding a good balance between being active and slowing the pace down. R&R! Finding the pleasurable and being motivated. Exploring and adventuring!


Resetting . . . Re-balancing . . . Relaxing . . .

It is doable though to get out of the rut and start resetting the life you want, crave and need! Start hoping and wishing as well as dreaming and desiring again. Get back on track and journey along!  


Refreshing . . . Reaching . . . Re-imagining . . .

There is going to be gains and rewards! There is going to be risks and fears. This is part of the natural process when it comes to change!

To love, belief and trust in myself that this is where I need to be at this point in my life! To listen and follow my heart as well as my intuition. To baby step and nudge my way through the process! To think and plan to make this major change happen. The gains and rewards are the BEST!

Discovering Your Path

Keeping On Track

How does one learn to relax and go with the flow in living this crazy thing called life?


Learning to Relax . . .

I am not hardwired to just let things happen let alone enough patience waiting for the process to unfold! However, I have tried pushing and pulling and it usually backfires. I am working on releasing that perfection and that expectation of how things are supposed to turn out. I am slowly recognizing that everything happens not to me, but for me if I practice and process to progress and keep moving forward!

I am learning three very important lessons on this journey of self though!

  1. I am learning to stop trying to find my my purpose every day.
  2. I am learning that I am okay with not knowing the next step.
  3. I am learning that nothing else can work right until I do.

I want to live each and every day with purpose and just conquer it! Every day is a new day, a new start. I approach the day with a good and positive attitude as well as a healthy and happy outlook. Why not, right! Life is way too short and it will pass you by if you let it. Why not be a part of it!


Learning to Fly By Exploring, Growing and Experiencing . . .

I am trying to embrace and enjoy exploring the unknown! Being open to the present and the possibilities and see what works best for me. I am trying to put the fear of the unknown on the down low. Reveling in the present moment more!

I ask myself the following questions.

  • Am I forgetting to be present?
  • Am I missing the journey in just racing to the destination and the next and the next?
  • Am I reaching and not grasping what I want let alone need?
  • Am I forgetting how important the process is, the journey?


Learning to Be Present and Journey Along . . .
