Reading

I love to read and share that love of reading and books with others! My mom read to me and taught me to read. I remember my grandmother sharing with me the oldest Dick and Jane books I ever saw in my short four years of life! I remember one of my favorite books being Alice In Wonderland and it was a pop-up book too.

I remember getting my 1st library card and it was like someone letting me loose with ALL THOSE BOOKS! I was a kid, but I never stayed in the kid’s section of the library for very long. My mom had her doubts when my cousin introduced me to Stephen King at the young age of 15. Thanks Mr. King for my fear of clowns and why oh why do animals have to turn to the dark side!

I fell in love with creative writing because of the story telling.

I fell in love with photography because it adds pictures to the story telling.

It sets the scene and enhances the impact of the scene as well as the story too!

Writing

I love when an author tells a great story! My love of writing comes from reading. I love a story of adventure with romance and a little mystery! I enjoy a good page turner that is hard to put down too.

Photography

In the midst of this reading and writing I discovered my interest in photography around the age of 13!

I will put my eye to the viewfinder and find that viewpoint to capture the shot from! I enjoy playing around with shooting, framing and placing/balancing. I find that the viewpoint composes the photo and the impact the photo will have. I love when a photo sets the scene to help tell a story!

Here’s to Putting Nose to Book and Putting Pen to Paper and Putting Eye to Viewfinder!!!
