Intuitive Self Care

For Your Whole Well Being

Do you take 5 minutes or even 30 minutes to tune into your intuitive self?

  • To unleash your imagination.
  • To get curious.
  • To do absolutely nothing.

To tune into yourself and tune everything else out!

Being able to listen and act on your intuition is possible and with a little practice soon enough becomes second nature! You learn to believe and trust in yourself, especially in making decisions and choices. You learn to think more clearly and that gives you clarity in tuning into your intuition and coming from a place of love by following your heart. You learn to be one with yourself and tap into what you need, want, desire, and crave!

Does your intuitive self crave creativity and/or exploration? To play, laugh and have fun. Do you integrate creativity throughout your day? To find that inspiration and motivation. Creativity is good for the whole well being; mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Getting creative is like breathing and moving. It promotes self love and self confidence. It cultivates healthiness and happiness. It creates innovation and thinking outside the box. It gives you a mood booster as well as an energy booster!

Some Creative Ideas to Consider Doing

  • Drawing or coloring.
  • Journaling or writing.
  • Singing or playing a musical instrument.
  • Listening to music or dancing.
  • Tuning into the “green spaces” either indoors or outdoors.
  • Gathering inspiration and motivation through various mediums.
  • Tapping into your senses.
  • Wondering and wandering.

DO What MOVES You!!! Spark your curiosity. Make the world come alive around you. Discover the magic that lets your creative being come out to play!

Just imagine how much more aware and awake you can be by tuning into your intuition! How much more you will open yourself up to experience. How much more you will want to slow down the pace to soak it in and savor it. How much more you will be in the present moment and just want to be!

Manifesting

Putting My Word for 2017 Into Action

What does manifesting mean to you? Love to Hear, Please Share!

20150413_145606
Getting to the Heart . . .

For me it is a multitude of things.

  • Putting the “over” on the down low and remembering to keep it simple.
  • Being more . . . mindful, present, aware, grateful, focused, thankful, etc.
  • Becoming a better person and putting my best self out there each and every day.
  • Doing more of what I love because it inspires, motivates and drives me to get out there to experience life.
  • Coming from a place of love and following my heart’s needs and wants as well as dreams and desires.

Here is how I am putting my word, manifesting, into action for 2017!

My Top 5

  • Capturing
  • Creating
  • Focusing
  • Stretching
  • Wandering

Capturing

Do you make time to dream, imagine, visualize? What do you do with those thoughts (i.e. vision board, picture book, inspiration cloud, etc.)?

Focus on the now! What do you need and want as well as crave and desire? Think about manifesting! Imagine and picture yourself going after it. Nurture, nourish, drive, and fuel IT!

232323232-fp83232-ydnpcuvbwsnrcgu-7;4-nu=3235-563--;3-WSNRCG=37-5-5624-325nu0mrj
Focusing In & On . . .

Creating

Do you have a hobby? Do you give yourself the time and the space to enjoy that hobby?

Unleash your creative being! It can boost your mood, energy and spirit. It can give you inspiration and motivation as well as reflection and relaxation. It can get your whole being flowing and moving again. Remember to tap into your creative side!

DSC_0034
Creating . . .

Focusing

Do you ever feel like you do not multitask well? I do, so you are not alone. At times multitasking is overload for the mind and body coordination and may create errors, burn out, disruption, distraction, etc. Think about how your whole being feels doing one thing at a time!

Yes you can do anything you put your mind, body and soul into, however; you cannot do everything! Remember that!

Practice being present and focusing in on the now and what deserves your attention! Build a healthier and happier relationship with yourself in setting boundaries, creating space and giving yourself a little slack too. Your whole being will thank you for unplugging and giving it some much needed R&R!

Big Picture to the Details and Everything In Between!!!

Stretching

Do you stretch your comfort zone to try new things?

  • To travel and adventure.
  • To explore and experiment.
  • To connect and engage.
  • To communicate to interact.
  • To learn to develop.
  • To experience growth to gain experiences.

dsc_0137
Filling Your Bucket . . .

It may be a little uncomfortable at times to stretch, but with practice you will figure out what you like and do not like to feel more at ease! You may become more flexible and adaptable. You may want to take a little risk in exploring and experimenting in trying new things. You learn to not be so fearful or afraid in making mistakes and learn a little humility when it comes to failures. Get out there, go for it and embrace the challenges and the successes!

Wandering

My favorite form of reflection, relaxation and/or meditation is wandering! aka Escaping to the Great Outdoors. I refresh and recharge my whole being. I feel like a better person too!

Healthier Whole Being

Wintertime

How do you practice being a healthier whole being in the winter months?

Your whole being can shift in the winter months. The days are colder, darker and shorter. Your energy and mood can shift from low to high and everything in between. Some people are coming off the excitement of the holidays. Some people are trying to ramp up into that healthier lifestyle in eating good and being active.

dsc_0569

Focus

Focus on the right here, right now! The big picture can be exciting as well as overwhelming. It is okay to break it down to focus on the little things and take baby steps. It becomes more realistic and achievable. Remember to celebrate along the way too! It will help you stay focused and that becomes inspiration and motivation to keep going.

There is nothing better than being present in the moment to experience and make memories to reminisce about later on! Plus that is added inspiration and motivation too!

Practice

Please go easy on yourself in giving your whole being some much needed love, kindness and comfort! Make time for you. Give back to yourself. Treat yourself. DO what works BEST for YOU!

In being hard or beating yourself up it takes a toll on you and your whole being! It does not have to be all or nothing. It is not a one time thing and you have to think in terms of what you do most days to give back to yourself and your whole well being. Give yourself a break and create a little slack too!

Do we really need to add anymore stress, anxiety, frustration, tension . . . I would hope NOT!

DSC_0453

Rest

You need to make time to relax and get plenty of rest. Remind yourself to take 5 minutes, 15 minutes or even up to 30 minutes to unwind before going to sleep. Hit that snooze button in the morning and take that time to stretch and wake up. Put the blue light on the down low too (i.e. phone, TV, etc.). Think restorative sleep versus restless sleep because quality is more important than quantity! Yes you may sleep six to eight hours, but was it restorative. Sleep smarter!

One thing I do for myself at times is to wake naturally on a weekend day. No setting of the alarm. No waking up early to slug through what needs to get done and to run here and there. No hurry either and just take that time for yourself!

Here’s To Taking Care of Your Whole Well Being & Making Time for You! Love to Hear Your Thoughts, Please Share.

Found It!

The Word I Have Been Looking For

I have been in a writing rut lately and for about a month I have had a word escape the fore front of my mind to end up stuck on the tip of my tongue. I cannot remember the word though that escaped until recently when it shouted out to me. This will be my word for 2017!

MANIFEST

What do you do with what you hope and wish for? Want and crave? Dream and desire? Visualize the details to the big picture?

You take it and manifest it aka Go For It & Do It! Then Manifest More of it!

We all are capable of attracting what we need through our decisions and choices! You have to step out of your way and stop putting obstacles up. You have to release resistance by tuning into your insecurities and fears by coming from a place of love and from within yourself. We are all capable of attracting abundance in our lives by manifesting it!

Not only do you create the space you need, you set the boundaries too! Find your path to journey along. Create your story chapter by chapter. Discover the life that you MANIFEST each and every day by doing and going for it!

  • My biggest take away from 2016 is having to remind myself to slow down and keep it more simple.
  • The best advice I received in 2016 is that it is less traumatic when you make mistakes daily instead of one day having one mistake that just trips you up and knocks you down.
  • Most of all is LOVE as well as being appreciative, thankful and grateful for what you do have in your life!

If I learned anything in 2016 it was that the work continues! Really think about what is optimal and sustainable for you and what works best for you too. Then start doing it! In a short period of time you may see a difference in your productivity and energy. It is okay to slow the pace down at times and take the time to relax and rest!

You are worthy and you are deserving! You have to be open to receiving what the world has to offer you by learning, experiencing growth and gaining life experiences. Remember that!

Also Remember  . . .

  • Schedule you into your week by taking 5 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour to be with yourself.
  • Move your body every hour (i.e. stretch, get out of your chair, take the stairs, go for a walk, etc.).
  • Make time to play and have some much deserved fun time.
  • Find that quiet place to take a few minutes to relax, recharge, release, and rest.
  • Practice self-care in being and doing for you and your whole well being.
  • Take time off for your health and sanity.

What Are You Going to Manifest in 2017? Love to Hear, Please Share!

The Learning Path

Staying The Course

There is nothing better than when the pieces click into place! That feeling of enlightenment and lightness. That feeling of freedom with a twist of enchantment. That feeling of being proud of yourself for doing it, going through the experience and accomplishing it!

You are more open to expand, especially in your personal development and growth! Oh the possibilities and the opportunities. The creativity. The connection you have to yourself, to others and to the world you live in.

dsc_0159

Think about how lucky and how blessed you are to experience those moments that become a part of you! That help you learn, grow and experience. That make you smile and laugh! That help you just be and to be mindful and present. That give you pure bliss, joy and happiness!

  • You have to seek what you need and want as well as what you dream and desire.
  • You have to be open to the opportunities and be willing to learn, grow and experience.
  • You have to learn how to believe and value as well as love and trust yourself.
  • You have to tune into your inner voice and tap into your inner self.
  • You have to nurture and nourish your whole well being.

It is wonderful when your inner being finds its voice again. It is amazing when your inner guidance system kicks in and you begin sending and receiving. It is amazing when you live your life by giving your inner being the opportunity to shine from within.

Remember to find your learning path to stay on course in those good times as well as the challenging times! To come from a place of love to follow your heart. To let your inner self guide by shining through to provide much needed light. To remind yourself to journey along and not rush or race from destination to destination!

Focusing Inward

Reflecting & Redirecting

Do you know the percentage of time you spend focused on technology every day? Especially when technology assists you in your 8 to 5 job. Especially when you are waiting or bored. We spend a good majority of our time reacting to technology!

Technology has broaden our worlds. However, we react more than reflect and at times that gives us no sense of direction. Our attention and focus is so directed outwards with technology, especially cell phones, computers and technology devices and even televisions. Are we truly thinking for ourselves at times?

You lose your sense of direction throughout the day in responding to technology because it is distracting and disrupting! You need to remember to take the time to just be and shut if off for a few minutes throughout the day. When you take the time to step back it gives you clarity and a chance to regroup your thinking processes. You may even feel like a more productive, efficient being too!

How about directing that focus inward for a change of pace?

dsc_0258
Focusing Inward . . .

Do you want to be a part of the world you are living in? Life does not have to happen to us if we learn how to take back the controls. To be in control of our lives, especially the choices and decisions we make on a daily basis. To be more present and mindful instead of looking to the future for the next latest and greatest! You can be in the present and prepare for your desired future. That is inspiration to find your passion to be purposeful. That is motivation to find what you love to do to be successful.

  • Do you reflect at the end of the day, week or month? How?
  • Do you practice releasing and letting go, especially of what is not working for you or serving your best interests?

dsc_0159
Journeying . . . Experiencing . . . Growing . . .

We all need to make the time for ourselves, especially in listening to our needs! You need to tune into your inner voice and tap into your inner knowledge, guidance and wisdom. That is where you find your passions and learn what you love to do. That is where you find your emotions, feelings and thoughts. That is where you find your connection to communicate, interact and engage.

  • Do you address your actions, behaviors, emotions, and/or feelings? What about your habits and routines? Anything need an adjustment, change and/or just do away with?
  • Do you know what makes you confident and empowered? Do you know what is holding you back or in place?

dsc_0250
Being . . . Reflecting . . . Redirecting . . .

There are times where we need to zoom in and other times where we need to zoom out! Sometimes the details bog us down and we need to focus on a bigger scope. Sometimes the big picture is getting in the way of the details. A little reflection and redirection helps make things clearer!

  • Do you look at the details as well as the big picture? Do you see the shades of gray among the black and white?

dsc_0249
Details . . . Big Picture . . . & Everything In Between . . .

Remember to ask yourself each and every day!

  • Am I learning as well as making mistakes?
  • Am I creating?
  • Am I experiencing growth?
  • Am I gaining the life experiences I need and want as well as dream and desire?

By getting to know who you are and how you tick you get to know your whole self for the better! It can be loving and caring. It can be freeing and transforming. It can be rewarding in so many ways (i.e. health, happiness, abundance, etc.)!

How Do You Make Time For Yourself and Your Whole Being? Love to Hear, Please Share.

The 3 R’s

Release, Rebalance and Renew

September is a reflecting and reviewing month for me.

  • Reflecting back on the past months and then looking ahead to Fall, the Holidays and the New Year.
  • Reviewing your progress so far and starting to plan for the months ahead.
  • Releasing and letting go of what is no longer working for you or serving your best interests.
  • Rebalancing to find your center.
  • Renewing your whole being.

DSC_0507

Basically a self check in with your whole being!

  • Where are you spending your time and energy?
  • Where is your focus and attention directing or drawing you to?
  • Are you making time for yourself to do for your whole well being?

DSC_0075

Really think about stepping back from doing and moving into being more. Communicate with yourself to release and let go. Interact with yourself and your whole being to rebalance. Connect to your whole well being to recharge for your health, wellness and happiness.

Remember to reconnect with your greatest someones too. Communicate and interact one-on-one as well as face-to-face. Really spend quality time with one another. Remind yourself to do for you so you can do for others.

I want to savor and soak this time of the year in. Not get sucked into the rush of going and doing. I need to remind myself of my limits to create space for myself as well as my greatest someones. When I feel relaxed and rested, I feel good, energized and renewed.

Let’s not overthink and overdo it! Love to Hear Your Thoughts, Please Share.

Tuning Inward

To Your Whole Being

When you make the time to go within yourself where does your focus go?

  • What speaks to you? The mind, body or spirit?
  • Does the left-side or right-side of the brain or both sides kick in?
  • Are you one part or a sum of all parts with your whole being?

The left side of the brain controls the right side of the body. The right side of the brain controls the left side of the body. The left side of the brain helps us perform tasks that have to do with logic whereas the right side of the brain taps into the creative side.

DSC_0490
Left Side vs. Right Side

I know for me when I am questioning I usually engage the left side of my brain to think logical. I tend to look at the micro and get stuck in the details. However, I am discovering a fun approach by engaging the right side of my brain to engage my creative side. I need to focus in on the macro at times and really see the big picture.

How does one engage the right side of their brain? By thinking outside the box and coloring outside the lines. Journaling, coloring, doodling, etc. There is something about taking a creative approach to decision making, problem solving, finding opportunities, etc.!

Being . . .

It is about being with less doing and engaging the whole being! Nuturing and cultivating all aspects of your being. Nourishing and motivating all aspects of your being. Tuning and tapping into your needs for your whole being!

“We are all already winners of the overdoing award. We need to start winning the over-being award.”~Michael Taylor

Let’s face it we could be busy doing all day long and sometimes all that doing feels like an act of getting nothing done!

  • Think about using your energies efficently to be effective.
  • Think about being more to catch your breath and come up for some much needed air.
  • Think about your health and happiness.
  • Think about creating a space for yourself to be one with your whole being.
  • Think about making time to relax and rest.

Really think about how you want to spend your time and energies in living your life each and every day!

DSC_0199
Creating . . . Reflecting . . . Being . . .

Prioritizing . . .

Ask Yourself . . .

  • What is your 1st priority when you start your day?
  • What is the 1 thing you want to DO today?
  • What is the 1 thing you want to BE today?
  • Do you make the time at the end of the day to release and let go?

Do you wish to wake naturally by the light of the day versus the alarm clock. What would your “utopian” morning be like? Relaxing, exercising, meditating, reading, etc. Talk about starting the day with a mindful and present mind set!

Do you wish that when your head hits the pillow at night you are fast asleep. Do you detox from technology before going to bed? Creating that space to relax and then rest for the night. Imagine the reboot to reenergize yourself in a more natural way then loading up on caffeine and sugar to start the day.

Try starting and ending your day with a little creativity! Think about how you are filling your mind. Think about how you are filling your heart. Think about how you are using your energy, especially the creative, to charge up and release throughout the day!

How Are You Stimulating and Activating Your Whole Being Today? What Are You Putting FIRST? Love to Hear, Please Share!

Generosity

Being Kind

I recently read an article by Susan Verde on 3 Simple Ways to Raise Generous Children. It got me thinking that as adult am I still a generous and kind being. Between juggling, multitasking and stressing I am sure I am less than human some days. We all have a lot on our mind and a list that seems never ending day in and day out!

 Susan’s 3 Simple Ways
  1. Start Small.
  2. Take a Mindful Approach.
  3. Catch Them in the Act.

DSC_0395

Small & Simple

When I think start small I think simple too.

  • Holding a door.
  • Lending a hand.
  • Giving a greeting or a compliment.
  • Treating people how you like to be treated.
  • Making someone’s day.

Being kind is a great place to start in setting the tone to have a good day! To really make a difference in being genuine and generous. Saying hello, sharing a smile, expressing a compliment, holding a door open, etc. Those random acts of kindness! I know it makes my day.

DSC_0448

Mindful & Present

How do you approach being generous and being kind with a loving heart and generous spirit?

  • How do you feel in that present moment?
  • How do you feel when you are on either the giving or receiving side?
  • How do you communicate, interact and connect?
  • How do you keep the judgements, perceptions and expectations in check?

When I think taking a mindful approach I think about being mindful of the experience too.

My trick when the going gets me down is to remember to smile and/or even laugh! It helps me get back on track to having a good day. It reminds me to slow the pace down and just breathe. It makes me take time out for myself and my whole being!

DSC_0397

Action

When I think about the act of being generous and being kind I think about . . .
  • Are we walking the talk?
  • Are we instilling that within ourselves and sharing that with others?
  • Are we generous, kind and compassionate beings at the very essence of it all?

A thank you. Providing praise. Recognizing some one for helping out, being kind, a job well done, etc. It makes a difference and can have an impact on the person you approach as well as yourself!

Coming from a place of love . . . to know that I am loving and loved, to know what I need and want, to be grateful and thankful, to be supportive to myself as well as others! I am practicing coming from a place of love every day. To listen, to belief and to trust in myself. To value myself by making the decisions and choices that are best for me. To follow my heart and do more of what I love!

Ask Yourself . . .

  • How do we open up to what we need let alone knowing what others need?
  • How do we love and support ourselves as well as give that back to others?
  • How do we show gratitude in what we do have?
  • How do we shift that mindset and change the perspective on a daily basis?

Downloading

How do you tune into the thoughts in your head?

Being Aware . . . Paying Attention . . . Practicing . . .

  • It can be healing from the inside out.
  • It can help you tap into your emotions, feelings and thoughts.
  • It can help you tune into your heart to come from a place of love.
  • It can help you find passion to discover what you love to do.
  • It can be calming in finding your sense of balance and peace again.
  • It can help you become aware of your emotions, feelings and thoughts to communicate, interact and connect with yourself.
  • It can help you be in the present moment where you are communicating with your mind, interacting with your body and connecting to your heart.

“During practice, experiment with expanding your awareness to include not only your thoughts and feelings but also your breath or heart center.

As you expand your awareness to include everything, you’ll release your grip on any one thing and begin to relax into the stillness.”~Suzanne Heyn
