Kinsale is located in County Cork, Ireland. The town sits at the mouth of the River Bandon. The Old Head of Kinsale has a lighthouse established in the 17th century. It is notable for being the nearest land point to the site of the sinking of the Lusitania in 1915.
Kinsale is known as Ireland’s gourmet capital.
James’s Fort is located on the other side of the cove, on the Castlepark peninsula.
