Getting to the Heart . . .

For me it is a multitude of things.

  • Putting the “over” on the down low and remembering to keep it simple.
  • Being more . . . mindful, present, aware, grateful, focused, thankful, etc.
  • Becoming a better person and putting my best self out there each and every day.
  • Doing more of what I love because it inspires, motivates and drives me to get out there to experience life.
  • Coming from a place of love and following my heart’s needs and wants as well as dreams and desires.

Here is how I am putting my word, manifesting, into action for 2017!

Capturing

Do you make time to dream, imagine, visualize? What do you do with those thoughts (i.e. vision board, picture book, inspiration cloud, etc.)?

Focus on the now! What do you need and want as well as crave and desire? Think about manifesting! Imagine and picture yourself going after it. Nurture, nourish, drive, and fuel IT!

Focusing In & On . . .

Creating

Do you have a hobby? Do you give yourself the time and the space to enjoy that hobby?

Unleash your creative being! It can boost your mood, energy and spirit. It can give you inspiration and motivation as well as reflection and relaxation. It can get your whole being flowing and moving again. Remember to tap into your creative side!

Focusing

Do you ever feel like you do not multitask well? I do, so you are not alone. At times multitasking is overload for the mind and body coordination and may create errors, burn out, disruption, distraction, etc. Think about how your whole being feels doing one thing at a time! 

Yes you can do anything you put your mind, body and soul into, however; you cannot do everything! Remember that! 

Practice being present and focusing in on the now and what deserves your attention! Build a healthier and happier relationship with yourself in setting boundaries, creating space and giving yourself a little slack too. Your whole being will thank you for unplugging and giving it some much needed R&R!

Stretching

Do you stretch your comfort zone to try new things?

  • To travel and adventure.
  • To explore and experiment.
  • To connect and engage.
  • To communicate to interact.
  • To learn to develop.
  • To experience growth to gain experiences.

Filling Your Bucket . . .

It may be a little uncomfortable at times to stretch, but with practice you will figure out what you like and do not like to feel more at ease! You may become more flexible and adaptable. You may want to take a little risk in exploring and experimenting in trying new things. You learn to not be so fearful or afraid in making mistakes and learn a little humility when it comes to failures. Get out there, go for it and embrace the challenges and the successes! 

Wandering

My favorite form of reflection, relaxation and/or meditation is wandering! aka Escaping to the Great Outdoors. I refresh and recharge my whole being. I feel like a better person too!

There is nothing more inspiring and motivating than visualizing your dreams and focusing on your desires!  To find your strength within the challenges and the courage to continue on. To discover your heart’s desire by finding your loves and passions. To do what is true and best for you and your whole well being!

  • To nurture and nourish your whole well being.
  • To be true and honest with yourself
  • To believe, value and trust in who you are.
  • To learn, experience growth and gain life experiences.

Being Your Own Captain . . .

Do you ask yourself what you want to focus your energy on? It is important to focus your energies on inspiration and determination as well as what motivates and drives you. Do you give it enough time and attention? It is important to create the time and space you need, especially to do more of what you love to do.

Think about how you dream and if you dream big enough or not! Think about your desires and if they challenge you enough to be you, do well and make you feel good. Think about how your dreams and desires make you curious to explore and discover your loves and passions as well as your potential and power. Think about how your dreams and desires make you feel, especially in making your heart joyful and your being happy!

Then get out there and pursue more of it! It does you good to hope, wish and dream. It does you good to go after what you need and want as well as crave and desire. Your desires are worthy of your time and energy to pursue if they are true to you and who you are!

Focusing Inward

Reflecting & Redirecting

Do you know the percentage of time you spend focused on technology every day? Especially when technology assists you in your 8 to 5 job. Especially when you are waiting or bored. We spend a good majority of our time reacting to technology!

Technology has broaden our worlds. However, we react more than reflect and at times that gives us no sense of direction. Our attention and focus is so directed outwards with technology, especially cell phones, computers and technology devices and even televisions. Are we truly thinking for ourselves at times?

You lose your sense of direction throughout the day in responding to technology because it is distracting and disrupting! You need to remember to take the time to just be and shut if off for a few minutes throughout the day. When you take the time to step back it gives you clarity and a chance to regroup your thinking processes. You may even feel like a more productive, efficient being too!

How about directing that focus inward for a change of pace?

Focusing Inward . . .

Do you want to be a part of the world you are living in? Life does not have to happen to us if we learn how to take back the controls. To be in control of our lives, especially the choices and decisions we make on a daily basis. To be more present and mindful instead of looking to the future for the next latest and greatest! You can be in the present and prepare for your desired future. That is inspiration to find your passion to be purposeful. That is motivation to find what you love to do to be successful. 

  • Do you reflect at the end of the day, week or month? How?
  • Do you practice releasing and letting go, especially of what is not working for you or serving your best interests?

Journeying . . . Experiencing . . . Growing . . .

We all need to make the time for ourselves, especially in listening to our needs! You need to tune into your inner voice and tap into your inner knowledge, guidance and wisdom. That is where you find your passions and learn what you love to do. That is where you find your emotions, feelings and thoughts. That is where you find your connection to communicate, interact and engage.

  • Do you address your actions, behaviors, emotions, and/or feelings? What about your habits and routines? Anything need an adjustment, change and/or just do away with?
  • Do you know what makes you confident and empowered? Do you know what is holding you back or in place?

Being . . . Reflecting . . . Redirecting . . .

There are times where we need to zoom in and other times where we need to zoom out! Sometimes the details bog us down and we need to focus on a bigger scope. Sometimes the big picture is getting in the way of the details. A little reflection and redirection helps make things clearer! 

  • Do you look at the details as well as the big picture? Do you see the shades of gray among the black and white?

Remember to ask yourself each and every day!

  • Am I learning as well as making mistakes?
  • Am I creating?
  • Am I experiencing growth?
  • Am I gaining the life experiences I need and want as well as dream and desire?

By getting to know who you are and how you tick you get to know your whole self for the better! It can be loving and caring. It can be freeing and transforming. It can be rewarding in so many ways (i.e. health, happiness, abundance, etc.)!

Discovering Your Path

Why do we allow certain things that show up on our welcome mat and knock on the door into our lives? Then you wonder and ask yourself “Why is this showing up in my life?” Well you did let it in!

You lose control of creating that space for yourself. Those mental and physical blocks start popping up along with the insecurities and fears. The boundaries you have set are cracking and even at times coming down around you. Those great expectations form and become high and mighty!

It can be a JUNGLE Out There!

Remember to call a time out! Do a self check of what you need right here right now and do it for your whole well being. Stop beating yourself up! Lighten up and go easy on yourself. Most of all just let go of the struggle to realize where you are is where you need to be right now!

You are the one in charge of the controls! You have the choice to do or not to do. Think about the reasoning to do or not to do. Then make the decision that works best for you!

You have some things that come easy to you and other things that challenge you! Believe in yourself to give it a try instead of giving up right at the start. Believe that you deserve it and get after it. You can and you will!

The two things I practice each and every day is my patience and my strength. No one wants to do those things that are uncomfortable let alone hard. I really look for the lesson in those teachable moments to experience growth. There is no bigger reward then gaining life experiences and making those lifetime memories!

Every day is a NEW! day to start anew! Believe, value and trust in yourself and be true to who you are by living your life from within. Communicate, interact and connect to your whole being from within. Be open to the possibilities and opportunities to learn, experience growth and gain life experiences!

There will be good days and not so good days. You choose what kind of day you are going to have. You choose to adapt or react. You choose the positive or the negative. Every day will be different with opportunities, choices and experiences.

Some days strength, flexibility, balance, and patience eludes us! It is okay to admit a weakness or that you are struggling with something. It is okay to ask for help. Be honest with yourself and ask for what you need! 

We all are on our own journey! Listen to your inner guidance system. Pay attention to the signs. Ask for directions as well as help if needed. Adventure On!

Sense of Self

How do you tune into your sense of self and tap into your inner being?

  • Belief, value, trust.
  • Love, care, kindness, compassion.
  • Making time to go within yourself.
  • Connecting to your breath to reconnect with your whole being.
  • Being there for you and supporting yourself.

Create that space for yourself to have some much needed “me” time! To do what you want you want even if it means doing nothing.

Sense of Community

We all have that innate sense to belong and be a part of a bigger world. To communicate, interact and connect. To find that support. To spend time with others and not be such a solitary being. You find comfort in being within a community.

Being part of a community is a great way to learn, create and experience! To just be; present and mindful. To refresh and recharge. To give back and receive in return. The possibilities and opportunities are awaiting you!

This sense of community may bring out the adventurer in you too! Want to try something new. How about trying it by being part of a bigger group. A popular term in my community is the “exercise social” where you combine community, exercise/play and fun.

Sense of Direction

How do you share and spread the love with yourself as well as others, especially your greatest someones?

  • Remind yourself that you are love and that you are loved.
  • Remind yourself to believe, value and trust in who you are.
  • Remind yourself to come from a place of love by listening to your heart and what it needs, wants and desires.
  • Remind yourself to be open to receiving as well as giving.
  • Remind yourself to share and spread the loving kindness.

How do you direct your focus, especially your passions and purpose?

For me – A life of well being for my whole being. Creating my story . . . following my path to journey along . . . gaining experiences and making memories.

I think we are all curious beings to a degree! Why not explore more to experience what life has to offer to each and every one of us. Being open to the possibilities and opportunities and even change. Believing and loving as well as valuing and trusting yourself to make the choices you need to live a good life. Learning and developing by stretching the old comfort zone in trying new things. Opening your heart and mind to embrace life in all its messy beautifulness! 

That creates passion and the craving to do more of what you love!

  • Working hard and playing harder.
  • Laughing and living.
  • Exploring and adventuring.

That creates richness, depth and abundance!

  • Gratefulness and groundedness.
  • Appreciation and thankfulness.
  • Nourishing and nurturing your whole being.

A Natural Bond

With Nature

Do you have a natural bond with nature? Do you like to get out and into the Great Outdoors?

Yes and yes for me! That quality time with myself. That grounded feeling with my feet touching the terra firma. That connection to my whole being!

I love to wander to wonder and let my body, heart and mind just be free! 

Nature is unique and magical! Nature provides inspiration and motivation. Nature is accessible and for the most part a free activity to enjoy. Nature makes you want to slow the pace down to enjoy your surroundings and tap into your senses! 

There are many ways to experience nature.

  • Gardening.
  • Going to the Farmers Market to explore, eat and wander as well as pick out fruits, veggies and/or flowers.
  • Going to a Pick Your Own Place for fruits and/or veggies (i.e. apples, berries, pumpkins, etc.).
  • Eco friendly activities (i.e. ziplining, paddle boarding, fishing, etc.).
  • Foraging (make sure you know what is edible and what is not – take a tour with an expert).
  • Journaling, creating and/or capturing your explorations and adventures.
  • Learning in general. Cooking and Creating. Gardening and Foraging. Fauna and flora. Endless possibilities!
  • Seeking out an adventure.
  • Sparking your curiosity to explore as well as using your senses to smell and even taste.
  • Walking, hiking, biking, etc. Hitting the nature trail or exploring nature and its natural beauty.

Making Progress

In Practicing

Do you remember the first time you tried to go down the slide, take off on the swing or ride a bike? You needed a little push and the encouragement to take off on your own, right. Do you remember being fearless or a little fearful? Maybe you were a bit of both.

Building

Well I needed that push recently to set a project for myself. To take action and start to make it happen. To give back to yourself to experience life’s opportunties. To give back to yourself to experience that richness of abundance by being passionate and sharing your gifts and talents! 

I am now starting on that project and it is a mix of emotions, feelings and thoughts at times. Where does that fear and insecurity come from. It is from embarking on change!

Making Time

I am learning as I age that time is truly a precious gift! I am making time for myself. I am not saying it is easy to do, but it is doable if you make it a priority. Especially in doing more of what you love!

Slowing Down

Make time to stop and breathe . . . Make time to pause and slow the pace down . . . Make time to connect through communication and interaction . . .

  • To be mindful. To live in the present.
  • To learn and develop. To experience growth and gain life experiences.
  • To come from a place of love to follow your heart as well as your intuition.
  • To be true to yourself by valuing, believing and trusting in yourself.
  • To pursue your dreams by going after what you desire and crave.
  • To release your sense of adventure and take some risks.
  • To make mistakes and fail in order to grab greatness and success.

  • Tuning and tapping in to your emotions, feelings and thoughts.
  • Transitioning and transforming yourself by embracing, changing and accepting yourself.

Basically practicing each and every day to progress your whole being!

Personalizing

Think for a moment how you personalize yourself and your space! Do you project that personalization from within to your outer world? Does it promote you and your self worth, especially in what you value and what matters to you? By making the time for your whole being you value yourself and you can and will continue to build a solid foundation to live your life! 

  • What are you dreaming about?
  • What are you desiring?
  • What are you creating?
  • What are you deserving of?

Everything you do for you adds to your worth and how you value your whole being! Learning, experiencing growth and gaining life experiences. Doing what you are passionate about and love to do. Being open to the possibilities and receiving them. That creates a life of abundance!

Promoting

Get to know who you are and love yourself wholly! Nourishing and nurturing. Loving and caring. Communicating, interacting and connecting. You become your own inspirer and motivator as well as encourager and supporter! 

You learn to promote your worth and value from within yourself! Being aware of your behaviors and habits. Being mindful of your attitude and ego. Really value your worth of self!

  • Checking in with yourself and your needs.
  • Really asking yourself what you want and desire.
  • Being mindful of how you want to be treated.
  • Creating those boundaries to value your space.
  • Coming from a place of love to put your fears on the down low.
  • Finding the inspiration, motivation and passion in living your life.

You can . . . You will . . . You do for you!

Another side of promoting is to be around the people that get you! Someone you can share with. Someone that encourages and supports. Someone that is receiving and giving. Be there for each other no matter what!

I picture that team huddle in my head to get pumped up, inspired and motived to get out there and give it my all! It is empowering and gives me a boost of strength. It is creating that community of support. It is expanding in stretching your comfort zone to try new things and to gain new experiences!

Your favorite spot to kick back and relax! Be it indoors or outdoors. Be it by yourself or with your greatest someone or a group of your greatest someones. To just BE!

To reconnect with yourself and recharge your whole being! Your energy is connected to your wellness as well as your happiness. Think about how you use your energy! 

  • Why does relaxation and rest seem complicated at times?
  • Why does it not seem natural to obtain?
  • What is wrong with doing nothing?

Figure out what works best for you to relax! Think about what relaxes you. Then create it for yourself!

My Top 3

  • Adventuring with my greatest someone aka my adventure partner.
  • Getting outside to wander and explore (maybe with camera in hand).
  • Kicking back and doing what I love (i.e. sitting on the beach, riding my bike, reading a good book, watching a movie, etc.).

Think about connecting to your breath. Your heartbeat decreases. Your whole being expands. You find that calm and reset the balance from within yourself!

Think about your feet connecting to the ground. You stand and take notice of what is going on around you. Your pace changes. Your mind surrenders and starts to wander!

Think about your senses. Think about the light and the shade. Think about the sights, the sounds and the smells. Think about your interior and exterior landscapes. What are you taking in!

What is calling and speaking to you? What feels best to you? What feels good to you? Remember to be mindful and be in the present moment!
