Found It!

The Word I Have Been Looking For

I have been in a writing rut lately and for about a month I have had a word escape the fore front of my mind to end up stuck on the tip of my tongue. I cannot remember the word though that escaped until recently when it shouted out to me. This will be my word for 2017!

MANIFEST

What do you do with what you hope and wish for? Want and crave? Dream and desire? Visualize the details to the big picture?

You take it and manifest it aka Go For It & Do It! Then Manifest More of it! 

We all are capable of attracting what we need through our decisions and choices! You have to step out of your way and stop putting obstacles up. You have to release resistance by tuning into your insecurities and fears by coming from a place of love and from within yourself. We are all capable of attracting abundance in our lives by manifesting it!

Not only do you create the space you need, you set the boundaries too! Find your path to journey along. Create your story chapter by chapter. Discover the life that you MANIFEST each and every day by doing and going for it! 

  • My biggest take away from 2016 is having to remind myself to slow down and keep it more simple.
  • The best advice I received in 2016 is that it is less traumatic when you make mistakes daily instead of one day having one mistake that just trips you up and knocks you down.
  • Most of all is LOVE as well as being appreciative, thankful and grateful for what you do have in your life!

If I learned anything in 2016 it was that the work continues! Really think about what is optimal and sustainable for you and what works best for you too. Then start doing it! In a short period of time you may see a difference in your productivity and energy. It is okay to slow the pace down at times and take the time to relax and rest!

You are worthy and you are deserving! You have to be open to receiving what the world has to offer you by learning, experiencing growth and gaining life experiences. Remember that!

Also Remember  . . .

  • Schedule you into your week by taking 5 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour to be with yourself.
  • Move your body every hour (i.e. stretch, get out of your chair, take the stairs, go for a walk, etc.).
  • Make time to play and have some much deserved fun time.
  • Find that quiet place to take a few minutes to relax, recharge, release, and rest.
  • Practice self-care in being and doing for you and your whole well being.
  • Take time off for your health and sanity.

Getting Your Green(s) On . . .

Do you practice wellness on a daily or weekly basis? 

  1. Enjoy 1:1 time with yourself as well as with your greatest someones.
  2. Taste the foods you eat.
  3. Treat yourself and savor it.
  4. Take 5 minutes to be present.
  5. Become one with your natural surroundings.
  6. Use your time off to take a staycation/vacation.
  7. Feel the music and really tune in to it, tap along or even get up and just dance.
  8. Be active by adding movement throughout your day.
  9. Read a book or write and just immerse yourself into the story.
  10. Focus on your breathing. Breath in . . . breath out . . .

Getting Fresh Air . . .

Self love is important and self care matters when it comes to your overall health and happiness! I know it is not easy, however; make yourself a priority and take time for you. Really try to put the guilt and the judgment on the down low too.  Ask yourself do you feel better when you take time for you? Yes!

Make sure you are getting the most of your self care routine by practicing wellness daily, weekly and monthly! It is about shifting your mindset a bit. It is about shifting your lifestyle a bit. You will reap the benefits for you and your whole well being! 

Practicing wellness and instilling a self care routine is a truly a mental, emotional, physical and spiritual boost to your whole being! Practicing mindfulness. Practicing awareness. Practicing being. Learning to acknowledge your thoughts, feelings and emotions. Learning to release and let go. Breath in . . . Breath out . . . Put one foot in front of the other and keep journeying along!

Creative Inspiration

Spark Your Creativity

You know that creative being is inside you, right! Most of us have a need to create. You know you want to color outside the lines and think outside the box!

How to get motivated and let the creative juices just flow?

Inspiration and motivation is two-fold with creativity. When we lack inspiration and motivation it may be a sign to get the creative juices flowing and get out of the normal routine. Then we need inspiration and motivation to be creative. It is all part of the creative process.

Where to Start!

  • Try something new.
  • Up for a Little Challenge – Try something you do not think you are very good at.
  • Get curious and explore lots of different things.
  • Learn, learn, learn lots of different things.
  • Journal and write.
  • Read and color.
  • Cook and bake.
  • Photography or painting.
  • A picture, a motivational quote or an inspirational story.
  • Get out into nature.
  • Be around other creative beings.
  • Play music and dance.
  • Meditating or letting your mind wander.

Another key piece of the creative process is to let the creativity go and let it evolve! Focus on the process at hand. Express your whole self. Just envision, innovate and create!

Love and enjoy the process of creating! Take pleasure and joy from creating and let it inspire and motivate your whole being. Be proud of what you create because it is an expression of you. Most of all do it because you love it!

Sense of Self

Practicing Self . . .

How do you practice self? To tune into and tap into your sense of self! 

Self Control

  • Take charge and be in control of you.
  • Set boundaries for yourself.
  • Make good choices and decisions for yourself.
  • Take responsibility for your choices and actions.
  • Take responsibility for your decisions and the consequences.

When you make good choices and decisions you improve, change and grow! You practice and learn and then do it all over again. If you do not like the end result then choose differently!

The best boundary you can set for yourself is knowing how to state no! In setting boundaries for yourself, you are valuing yourself. Others know what is acceptable to you and how to treat you. You matter and boost your self worth!

Self Strengths

You physical strong helps your emotional strength! You and your whole being are stronger than you think and give yourself credit for. We all are “discovering our strong”! Practicing and learning your strengths helps you build a solid foundation to experience personal growth from. Once you realize your inner strength(s) there is nothing that you cannot do! 

You self strengths include relaxation and rest as well as using your energies effectively and efficiently! How do you slow down? How do you connect to your whole being? What is your outlet; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually!

Self Knowing

Your inner voice, the trust you have in yourself and following your gut instinct! That inner knowing and how to trust it and to voice your truth. Practice trusting what you know and believing in yourself!

You define your worth and you can learn to love yourself and your whole being! Your beliefs and values. Your voice to express yourself. You can and do for YOU!

It is important to teach yourself how to trust your own intuition!

I recently read an article about the inner bond that you have with yourself! I have not thought about it like that before and it got me thinking. Where was that when I lost myself a bit a few years back. Practicing that connection that you have with yourself and your personal source of truth!

Being able to find and follow that path back again and again in trusting yourself, especially when you have lost that trust in yourself! It helps you cope and be more resilient. It really changes everything around when it seems a little upside down! The trust as well as the belief in yourself and how you value and stay true to who you are. Mind Blown!

You are in control! You make better decisions and choices. You see right and wrong with clarity. You listen to yourself more than others in making those decisions and choices that serve you best! 

You tap into your gut instincts and intuitions! You tune into your inner voice. You have the ability to come from a place of love and tone down the fear better. Your inner guidance and radar system starts kicking in to better warn you!

That is Self Growth On the Highest Level!

Self Love

What do you like or even love about yourself? Your qualities and assets. Your talents and gifts.

Practice self love and self care. Practice self compassion and self gratitude.

Being honest and true to who you are! Especially in believing and in trusting yourself. Being self aware and self confident. Who you are and who you want to be? 

Self Compassion

Practicing and learning self compassion is about loving you and your whole being!

Love and compassion. Care and support. Kindness and positiveness. Forgiveness and acceptance.

Self compassion helps you cope and build resilience! You have your own back. You are your own best friend and cheerleader. You are your biggest supporter in going after what it is you need to live the life you love!

Practicing Curiosity

Stretching Your Whole Being

I know I talk about being curious and exploring. I know I talk about finding your passion and purpose too.

How do you go about it though?

Some people cannot relate or identify to having a passion. It can be stressful, frustrating and downright confusing. It can make you assess your value and worth. Fact: 80% of the population cannot relate or identify a passion; 8 out of 10 people!

“I feel very grateful that I’m able to have my passion be my career, and I believe that everyone can do the same, but I feel many people don’t know exactly what it is they are passionate about. The lucky ones who do already have a head start and can begin to peruse avenues that allow that passion to be crafted into a career. How do you know what you are passionate about?

Some of us are not smacked down with that lose track of time, heart racing and life expanding passion! That is okay. There are plenty of people looking and trying to figure it out though. I feel it is more about being curious and trying new things!

I also view it as an opportunity for self discovery and the possibilities are endless! You have to nurture and cultivate curiosity for yourself. You have to try and practice and then try and practice some more. You have to have patience and time to practice and learn as well as develop and grow. You have to discover the inner YOU!

Where does one start?

  • Getting curious.
  • Trying new things.
  • Exploring and adventuring.

What are you curious about?

Through curiosity and exploring you discover what you like and what you do not like! You will need to get curious and try a lot of things. You will find that connection within yourself that lights you up and makes you happy. You may over time spark a passion within yourself!

Remember humility and humbleness are key! You may learn to laugh at yourself too, especially in trying new things. Play, laugh and have fun. Discover the lighter and simpler side of life through curiosity!

Curiosity is your adventure partner! Trying new things is your new sidekick. Get creative. Go on a journey of self to discover YOU!

I am not “ON” and certainly do not see the good and the positive each and every day! However, I can set my day to have as good of a day as possible! I am able to clear my mind and shift perspective. I am able to shift gears and increase or decrease my energies.

Being Thankful

The act of practicing as well as maintaining gratitude!

  • How do you place the hurt, the angry and at times the hate on the down low?
  • How do you find the love and kindness as well as the support and compassion?
  • How do you change your mindset from temporary to practicing gratitude?
  • How does one be thankful for the good, the bad and the ugly?

It is hard to see the possibilities and opportunities through the challenges! Finding the optimism and being resilient versus making complaints and excuses. It is not easy to see the good when you are experiencing the bad, the negative and the worst!

Think about . . . is it happening to you or for you?

  • To strengthen and support.
  • To grow and experience.

Do you still have the power even if it is something out of your control?

I hope to think so! To make those decisions and choices even if it means releasing, letting go and moving in a different direction. To change perspective to see it from all sides. We have no control over what life throws at us, but we get to make the decision on how to react to it! Hang tight and hold on!
