Manifest Grounding

When You Experience Change

Change happens, right! You feel like everything is in order and then SURPRISE! You either embrace it or it turns your world a bit. Especially when change really throws you for a loop and your life out of whack!

Practicing

Do you have a good practice in place to adjust to change? Yes, no or working on it. Change can be good or rock your world, especially those sudden and unexpected changes. Remember you have to do what is best for you in those times of change!

How will you practice going forward in improving your ability and capacity for handling change moments?

Put Your Oxygen Mask On First!

Practicing . . . To nurture and nourish. To communicate and connect. To tune into your emotions, feelings and thoughts. To tap into what you need!

Do you find yourself pulling away and wanting to take the stakes up?

Do you want to curl into a ball? Do you just want to hide out for a while?

Practicing . . . To be flexible to better adjust and become more resilient to change. To remain as calm and level headed as possible. To listen to what you need in those moments of change. To learn how to bend and not snap!

Do you find yourself “over” . . . whelmed, stimulated, etc.

Do you find yourself tightening and constricting?

Practicing . . . To release helps you center. To let go to find your balance, especially in those times when you have no control in the change. Making the time to tune into your whole being and its needs!

Practicing . . . Nurturing . . . Growing . . .

Processing

When you are in that change moment you tend to react not relax into the experience (unless it is good change)! It is not easy to find an even keel let alone a positive mood/attitude in those moments. Sometimes we are not even ready for a “there, there” or here’s some good advice for you. More times than not we need to process the change!

You may need to create the space you need to process the change! Stress and anxiety leads to tension and that can constrict how your body functions. A space where you can be with yourself to just be and take a breather. To release and relax. To bring your focus inward for clarity and awareness to work through the change process!

Processing . . . Being . . . Flowing . . .

Grounding

Have You Tried Grounding?

I have been reading about grounding when it comes to experiencing change! That react/run and/or fight or flight reaction. At times it is just too much to handle and process. You almost feel like you are losing your sense of self. You may be able to ground and/or center yourself by rooting your whole being to the here and now!

Rooting to the here and now is a good process to start practicing for the whole of your being!

How Do You Ground/Center/Root In Change Moments?

I think about getting physically grounded! From your feet to your fingertips to the top of your head. Standing with your feet apart and spreading your toes. Interlacing your fingers and stretching your arms above you. Breathing in and breathing out!

I think about building a solid foundation to live from! To find that stability and self security you need in times of change. To become aware of inner being to communicate, interact and connect with your whole being again. To get out of that survive mode and know this is survivable!

I think about taking a much needed time out! To relax and rest to balance your whole being again. To recharge and re-energize. To be aware of your whole body to do a self check to determine your needs in those moments of change!

Will you tap into grounding?

  • To better root your whole being.
  • To cultivate your balance to center.
  • To focus inward on your needs.
  • To manage your time and energy more efficiently.
  • To communicate and connect as well as interact and engage YOU.
  • To have your mind and heart work as a team.
  • To better cope and become more resilient.

Manifesting Passion

Tuning & Tapping Into It!

What Does Passion Mean? Where Does It Come From?

Self Being & Self Love

I think about self being and self love. What are you receiving? What are you giving, especially of yourself? How are you caring and loving your whole being?

  • Building a solid foundation to live from.
  • Tuning into your whys to tap into your needs and wants.
  • Dreaming and desiring.
  • Coming from a place of love. Following your heart.

It is about valuing and honoring yourself! Knowing how to receive and give. Giving and receiving is about the way you treat yourself and how you treat others too. Creating space and setting boundaries. How you show up in your life to be there for yourself and your greatest someones!

Compassion & Empathy

I think about compassion and empathy. Tuning into your feelings, emotions and thoughts as well as others. Understanding that we all are on our own journeys!

  • How are you supportive to yourself as well as others?
  • How do you approach the way you speak, interact and connect?
  • How do you show and share kindness, compassion and care?
  • How do you step outside of yourself and at times your comfort zone to be there for another person?

Really think about developing your coping toolkit and practicing compassion and empathy! Learning to expand and be more open. Developing a willingness to fully immerse yourself in your experiences. Practicing to be less reactionary by tuning into the care, especially in reflecting how you want to be treated and treating others the same way. You have the same need as everyone else to feel loved, appreciated and connected!

Control & Power

I think about control and power. How many energies do you have inside of you to tune and tap into. It is about using your time and energy effectively and efficiently. You cannot be and do for all!

  • The need to pause to reflect.
  • The need to relax and rest to re-energize and recharge.
  • The need to ask for help and support.

Remember to take care of you and make yourself a priority! There are times you may need to power through, but then give yourself a much needed break and some down time. You can learn not to take on so much and even say no to certain things. You can slow down or even step back. You need to find your natural rhythm in living your life!

Joy Breaks

Finding Joy & Happiness Among the Daily Rush

Do you take a “Joy Break”? aka Taking a brief moment for yourself to smile, laugh, find your happy place, etc!

One needs that reprieve as well as that release when the mind is racing and the body is rushing about! Being constantly in the “on” position is not good. You are able to pause to reset as well as recharge to restart again. Think about a mini dose of nurturing and nourishing for your whole, well being!

When you feel on “over” or the world seems to be speeding by BECOME PRESENT! Find the peace and calm by becoming grounded. Find the pleasure and joy by becoming centered. Bring your attention and awareness within yourself and your being!

Really focus in on what you love to do and make the time to do it! Even if it is just for 5 minutes. Let your mind go and maybe even tap into your creative being. Do what is best for you and your whole, well being!

It is the small things that you do for yourself that matters the most! Especially in taking the time to make space for you. I ask myself every once in a while, “Am I surviving, thriving or actually living?”! We are all going through the motions and the moments, however; do not lose yourself. Remember to journey on, read the next paragraph, turn the page, start a new chapter . . .

Being Your BFF

Your Journey of Self

Your journey of self is your very own personal story of creation! Who you are and what you create. How you journey and what you experience. To love you for you and to be your own BFF through thick and thin and everything in between!

  • Finding your self and discovering who you are.
  • Discovering the love, care and compassion that you have for yourself and your whole, well being.
  • Owning your worth by honoring and valuing yourself.
  • Staying true to who you are by believing and trusting in yourself.
  • Tuning and tapping into your inner self, especially your emotions, feelings and thoughts.

We can be our worst critic if not enemy at times. How do you protect yourself from doing that to yourself? Really think about how you can down low your inner critic to empower your inner voice! You can receive clarity and validity through your inner voice, especially to express yourself in what you need and why.

  • Knowing it is okay to have doubts and fears, especially in going after what you need, want, crave, desire, etc.
  • Practicing to progress, develop and experience growth.
  • Finding you and who you are through the practicing and experiencing.
  • Coming from a place of love in following your heart in what you are passionate about and what you love to do.

Then there are other times where we have people being hurtful to us. How do you tune into you and tap into your needs in those situations? How you value yourself helps you and others treat you how you want to be treated. It truly comes from within you!

Ask yourself . . .

  • What is true and what is not? Reality versus perception.
  • What do I have control over and what can I not control?
  • What am I going to respond/react to and what am I not going to respond/react to?
  • What are my choices?

There is a fine line between addressing and being aware of what is hurting you instead of finding fault and criticizing yourself. Really get to the heart of the “whats” by asking those “whys” in what you truly need.

Probably the hardest part is understanding your emotions, feelings and thoughts. There usually is a reason behind our emotions and you have to take the time to ask why. It matters to address it head on in order to move on. Especially in being able to release and let go. Especially to be open to experiences. Especially to do what works best and serves you in your personal growth and journey of self. Your whole being and your energy will thank you for that!

Your happiness and healthiness matters! To become a better version of yourself. To find your inner voice in being able to communicate and connect with yourself on a deeper level. To listening to your whole being from the inside out!

What Are You Doing For You To Give Back To Your Whole, Well Being. Love to Hear, Please Share.

Manifesting NEW! Growth

Hello! & Welcome . . .

What NEW! growth are you welcoming into your life?

How do you go about making it happen?

  • Dreaming and desiring.
  • Imagining and creating.
  • Experiencing the NEW!

Do you make time for you? You need to!

What do you love to do with the time you make for yourself?

  • Doing more of what you love.
  • Turning your focus inward.
  • Working on development and growth.
  • Playing, laughing and having fun.
  • Anything, NOTHING and every thing in between.

Remember to relax, kick back and daydream! It helps you pause to reflect as well as release and let go. It helps you imagine and tune into your creative being. It helps you set intentions to achieve your goals!

Remember to ask yourself your “whys” to answer your needs and desires! Listen to your inner voice and let it guide you. Tune into your creative being to set yourself to flow freely. Really tap into what you love to drive your motivations, passions and ambitions!

No matter how much time you spend (i.e. 5 minutes, a few hours, etc.) just remember to be consistent and committed to carving out that time for yourself! You will start to see the progress as well as the results. You will start to feel relaxed, re-energized, refreshed, and recharged. You will have started a new practice for yourself to learn and develop as well as experience growth and gain experiences!

Practicing Healthiness & Happiness

At A Personal Level

Do you practice what really works or serves your whole, well being for the better?

Be selective when it comes to opening yourself up and inviting in the possibilities and opportunities! What are the pros and cons. What speaks to your heart and soul. What sparks interest and inspiration as well as motivation and creativity for you!

Really make it your own! When you do that you are more likely to stick to it. Be choosy when it comes to additions because when you start piling more on it can become less fun and more like a chore. It takes time to build and to have patience in discovering what works best for you and serves your needs!

What are you practicing?

In practicing my health and happiness I approach it like I am putting together a puzzle. You just have to figure out where to place the pieces. For example, there may be a piece to start every day new and fresh. Then there is another piece to end the day by taking 30 minutes for yourself. You continue to build one piece at a time to create a personal practice for yourself!

Finding that healthy and happy place! That place that you take time out to make time for yourself. That place of comfort and healing. That place you can release and let go. That place where you can just be!

Are you creating a personal practice out of that practicing?

A major part of arriving at a final destination is the journey to get there! A major part of creating a personal practice to live from is enjoying the process. A great place to start your personal practice is determining your loves and your passions. What truly brings you joy, pleasure and happiness!

You will be more likely to continue your personal practice too! Over time you will become adept in making additions and eliminations. Really take the time for yourself to nurture and nourish that practice. Remember to do what works best for you and your whole, well being.

Doing Nothing

Is Being Productive

Have you found your “do nothing”, “lay like broccoli” thing?

Vivian: Let’s watch old movies all night… we’ll just veg out in front of the TV.

Edward Lewis: Veg out?

Vivian: Yeah. Be still like vegetables. Lay like broccoli.

Edward Lewis: Look, I’ll tell ya what. I’ll be back. We’ll do broccoli tomorrow. ~From the movie Pretty Woman

We are still human beings and not robots even with all this technology at our fingertips! We cannot be on “ON” 24/7/365. We have limits when it comes to managing, processing and doing. Please stop the crazy busyness!

Do you think about why you are having a bad day? When all you want to do is get back home, climb into bed and call it a day. Especially when everything seems to go wrong and nothing is easy let alone falling into place. We all have those days that are pushing our limits!

  • Stress, anxiety and tension.
  • Being “on” and “over” abc, xyz.
  • Brain on a continuous loop.
  • Disruptions and distractions.
  • Mood, attitude, behavior alters/changes.
  •  Heading towards burn out.

First, do not let that become a new state of being. Second, stop before you take action that you will later regret.

Give yourself a break and make time for yourself! It is okay to take 5 to breathe, stretch and clear your mind. It is okay to use the time you earned to take a day off. The mind and body need R&R!

  • It can be good for your whole well being.
  • It can be relaxing and re-energizing.
  • It can be restful and refreshing.
  • It can be inspiring and motivating.
  • It can get the creative juices flowing.

Remember Saturday mornings as a kid eating your bowl of cereal in front of the TV watching cartoons. I enjoyed the old school cartoon classics, like Wile E Coyote and Road Runner, Tom and Jerry, etc. Netflix binge anyone! What are you currently in to?

Sometimes it is nice to add in a do nothing buddy! To share and connect in doing something you both enjoy and love. To laugh, play and have fun. When was that last time you laughed so hard it was like a release to your whole being?

  • Reading a book or wandering the local library or book store.
  • Laying a blanket down and watching the clouds.
  • Taking in the arts.
  • Breathing/Meditating.
  • Getting curious and exploring.
  • Getting lost in the city, great outdoors or anything in between.
  • Doing Absolutely NOTHING!!!

The possibilities are endless in doing nothing!

Recess Time

PLAY

How about setting a bell to go off throughout the day for a little recess time to play, laugh and/or have some fun time?

Play Time . . .

I get out and about in the community I live in and pick up on some interesting things going on. I was on a bike ride and heard laughter in the park I biked past. There was a group of people gathered just laughing. Then I was walking past a school and it was recess time. I heard the teacher state to the kids, “I did not state to sit down, but run, run to burn off the energy”. Ha!

Playing is a great release, especially for adults! Put down the work and just play. Create. Try new things. Get curious and explore. Go on an adventure!

Getting Curious, Exploring and Adventuring . . .

Find you inner kid! Kids play hard and really immerse themselves in their play. To feel that overwhelming fun that brings one joy and happiness. To have an ounce of that kid energy!

It is so not a waste of time! Take a break from the doing and the busyness. Your tiredness may just find a second wind in taking time to play!

  • It is freeing, releasing and re-energizing.
  • It is a sense of belonging when play involves the community you live in.
  • It is a release of mental energy in getting out of your head and physically moving your body for a change of pace.
  • It is tapping into our best selves by having fun and being fun and social around others again.
  • The BEST is it just makes your day, puts a smile on your face and a skip in your step!

I love going on adventures, riding my bicycle and recently got the trivia bug again. I enjoy taking an evening walk around my neighborhood to see who is out and about and what is going on.

Manifesting Power

Through Your Role

I strongly believe that we all are leaders in our own lives! Do you agree? Do you take a leadership role in your own life for you and your whole being? Simply put it is about taking the time to value who we are and what we have to offer!

Your love and confidence as well as your intelligence and intuition! Tuning into your power and tapping into your spirit. Basically living your life on your own terms!

To nurture and nourish your whole being! Through building a great relationship and deeper connection with your whole being. By putting perfection and high expectations on the down low. By being the person you are!

Navigating . . . Manifesting . . . Journeying . . .

Your Mindset

How do you perceive and receive your world and the world around you?

Ask Yourself . . .

  • Are you serving your best interests?

You need to know the “whys” when it comes to what you need and want as well as crave and desire! Being mindful and fully aware. Tuning into your senses. You also need to know how to release and let go of what is no longer serving your best interests!

  • Are you stunting your growth in any way?

You matter and are important! If you are willing and open, you are more than capable. You have to open yourself up to the possibilities and opportunities!

  • Are you sticking to your rules when it comes to acting?

Sometimes your mind rules your actions! You may have to throw out the rule book. You may need to let your heart in to play more!

  • Are you proactive or reactive?

You need to make the time to connect with your whole being! Find that quiet space to center and connect. Reflect and release. Discover the movement and flow to your whole being again!

Being . . . Creating . . . Living . . .

Your Dimension

You are more than one dimension! You have breadth by learning, developing and growing. You have depth through your experiences. All of what you experience enhances and expands you and your world!

A major part of adding dimension is through building a relationship with yourself!

  • Believing and trusting in yourself.
  • Knowing how you want to be treated to value yourself and your worth.
  • Nurturing and nourishing yourself and your whole being.
  • Answering those “whys” to ask for what you need.
  • Well being through self being; love, kindness, care, compassion, etc.

Your Journey

Remember you are the author in creating your story! You are the navigator in your journey!

It is about learning from the past and being in the present! What do you need? Are you being true to who you are? Be an active participant and show up for you in living your life!

Slow and Easy . . . (Photos by RSheridan)

Really strive for a good mindset and a fresh perspective on a daily basis! Love to hear your thoughts, please share.

Natural Movement

What Are You Practicing?

I have been thinking about movement lately, especially forward movement. For instance, why do some movements seem so natural while others seem like you are continuously pushing a boulder up a very steep hill. You either keep pushing or have a boulder coming at you like Indiana Jones in that one movie. Your body and your body language speak volumes!

How and when do you stop pushing and just try and go with the flow? Especially when you are not the go with the flow type. Scheduled versus spontaneity. Learning to navigate or asking someone else for directions. Mind and body working together as one!

Moving . . .

You have choices, especially to choose what works best for you! Weighing the pros and the cons. To practice, learn and develop. To progress to experience growth and gain life experiences. To find your “whys” in what you need!

To learn more about who you are and how you work! To find your potential as well as your talents and gifts. To discover what matters most. To create and live!

“You have a way to unstick what’s stuck, unblock what’s blocked,
fix what needs fixing, and create what needs creating.
You just need to practice this way a bit, every day, to make it yours.
We’re at a crossroads today, each of us, and all together. It has something to do with what we practice.”~Michael Taylor

Bridging . . .

It matters in how you live your life! That true essence of self and being true to who you are. That love and support. That caring and receiving and giving. It matters in how you care for yourself and others, especially your greatest someones!

  • To find that inspiration and motivation that drives you.
  • To discover those loves and passions that give you ambition.
  • To be an active and productive being.
  • To achieve and be successful.
  • To be happy and healthy whole, well beings.
  • To living the simpler life.

I have learned that a good majority of things can be doable, changeable, fixable . . . Also, survivable! Creating and recreating. Changing and adapting. Transitioning and transforming. You are in charge to be who you are and to create (i.e. a life, happiness, health, etc.) and live for yourself!
