Tuning Into Your Energy,

Tapping Into Your Inner Strength

You know you are your greatest supporter and protector, right!

DSC_0359

How do you tune into your energy?

  • Doing more of what you love.
  • Exploring more of your creative self.
  • Making time for yourself.
  • Taking the time to relax and rest throughout the day, week, month, and year.
  • Nurturing and nourishing your whole well being.

“Develop a discipline of listening to your feelings and trusting their wisdom

as energetic signposts along your personal journey to help guide yourself toward

that which is in alignment with your truest values and deeper visions.”~Jenny Clarke

How do you tap into your inner strength?

  • Being in charge and controlling your choices and decisions.
  • Making time for self care and self love; self confidence and self independence and support.
  • Believing, valuing and trusting yourself; self worth and empowerment.
  • Communicating, interacting and connecting to your whole being from the inside out.
  • Learning to release and let go of what is no longer working or serving you.

Making Progress

In Practicing

Do you remember the first time you tried to go down the slide, take off on the swing or ride a bike? You needed a little push and the encouragement to take off on your own, right. Do you remember being fearless or a little fearful? Maybe you were a bit of both.

Building

Well I needed that push recently to set a project for myself. To take action and start to make it happen. To give back to yourself to experience life’s opportunties. To give back to yourself to experience that richness of abundance by being passionate and sharing your gifts and talents!

I am now starting on that project and it is a mix of emotions, feelings and thoughts at times. Where does that fear and insecurity come from. It is from embarking on change!

DSC_0092

Making Time

I am learning as I age that time is truly a precious gift! I am making time for myself. I am not saying it is easy to do, but it is doable if you make it a priority. Especially in doing more of what you love!

Slowing Down

Make time to stop and breathe . . . Make time to pause and slow the pace down . . . Make time to connect through communication and interaction . . .

  • To be mindful. To live in the present.
  • To learn and develop. To experience growth and gain life experiences.
  • To come from a place of love to follow your heart as well as your intuition.
  • To be true to yourself by valuing, believing and trusting in yourself.
  • To pursue your dreams by going after what you desire and crave.
  • To release your sense of adventure and take some risks.
  • To make mistakes and fail in order to grab greatness and success.

To slow down and soak it in!

How do you tune into the thoughts in your head?

Being Aware . . . Paying Attention . . . Practicing . . .

  • It can be healing from the inside out.
  • It can help you tap into your emotions, feelings and thoughts.
  • It can help you tune into your heart to come from a place of love.
  • It can help you find passion to discover what you love to do.
  • It can be calming in finding your sense of balance and peace again.
  • It can help you become aware of your emotions, feelings and thoughts to communicate, interact and connect with yourself.
  • It can help you be in the present moment where you are communicating with your mind, interacting with your body and connecting to your heart.

“During practice, experiment with expanding your awareness to include not only your thoughts and feelings but also your breath or heart center.

As you expand your awareness to include everything, you’ll release your grip on any one thing and begin to relax into the stillness.”~Suzanne Heyn

Happy Day – Enjoy! Love To Hear Your Thoughts, Please Share!

Do You Hear It?

That Place That Calls To You,

That Place That Speaks To You

Your favorite spot to kick back and relax! Be it indoors or outdoors. Be it by yourself or with your greatest someone or a group of your greatest someones. To just BE!

To reconnect with yourself and recharge your whole being! Your energy is connected to your wellness as well as your happiness. Think about how you use your energy!

  • Why does relaxation and rest seem complicated at times?
  • Why does it not seem natural to obtain?
  • What is wrong with doing nothing?

Figure out what works best for you to relax! Think about what relaxes you. Then create it for yourself!

DSC_0092

My Top 3

  • Adventuring with my greatest someone aka my adventure partner.
  • Getting outside to wander and explore (maybe with camera in hand).
  • Kicking back and doing what I love (i.e. sitting on the beach, riding my bike, reading a good book, watching a movie, etc.).

Think about connecting to your breath. Your heartbeat decreases. Your whole being expands. You find that calm and reset the balance from within yourself!

Think about your feet connecting to the ground. You stand and take notice of what is going on around you. Your pace changes. Your mind surrenders and starts to wander!

DSC_0194

Think about your senses. Think about the light and the shade. Think about the sights, the sounds and the smells. Think about your interior and exterior landscapes. What are you taking in!

What is calling and speaking to you? What feels best to you? What feels good to you? Remember to be mindful and be in the present moment!

Here’s to Practicing  . . . Here’s to Coming Back for More of What Feels Best and Good To You & Your Whole Being . . . Love to Hear Your Thoughts, Please Share.

Your Attention Please

Yes, You!

I recently read an article by Dr. Nate Klemp about meditation and it resonated with me! He talked about practicing meditation and being aware of three steps in particular. However, you could put these 3 steps into pretty much everything you practice on a daily, weekly and monthly basis!

  1. NOTICE by Creating a Cue.
  2. SHIFT by Redirecting Your Attention.
  3. REWIRE by Keeping Your Attention On the Present.

DSC_0040
Noticing . . .

Noticing

A Notice Cue? I know I was like what is that. It helps remind you . . .

  • To practice meditation and/or calmness.
  • To be present and aware.
  • To be mindful and engage your whole being mentally, physically, etc.

I think about tuning into my breath. Breathe in . . . breathe out . . . find the zen . . .

I think about putting the disruptions and the distractions on the down low. To be aware and focus. To be present and mindful. To take a break. To just be . . .

I know I usually start my day by taking 15-minutes and ending my day with 30-minutes of unwind and decompress time. I need to instill more of that throughout my work day though. I need to schedule in some R&R on the weekends. I need to make time to be with myself and my whole being!

To become a healthier and happier being!

DSC_0390
Cueing . . .

Shifting

  • How many times do we shift our attention?
  • What needs your attention?
  • What grabs your attention?

Practicing awareness helps you reign in that wandering mind! Just the amount of thoughts running through your head. To be mindful and to be in the present moment! It is not easy in this fast paced and technology driven world.

Engage your senses, especially to the sights and sounds in that present moment of time! It can be centering. Focusing on the task at hand and directing your thoughts to that task!

DSC_0418
Being . . .

Rewiring

How to teach yourself to bring back your attention when your mind starts to wander! Sometimes a wandering mind can be a good thing and other times not so much. Depends on what you are doing. Taking five minutes to rewire, bring your attention back and focus on the moment is a great practice!

The key is to notice and cue into your wandering mind as well as shift and rewire your attention! It can help you focus your mind and center your being. You also are one step closer to practicing mindfulness!

You learn how to take each moment to become more present and mindful of what you are doing and what is going on around you! You improve your focus and increase your productivity. You put your energies to good use. Your overall whole being benefits by reducing stress and anxiety, not rushing here and there and running on E!

I know you are thinking about the time to do this! Time is precious, right. Why not use it to your best advantage then! This is not something you need to take time out of your day to do. Plus maybe more of us need to take 5 minutes here and there throughout the day to reset the whole being! Get up, go for a walk and stretch if nothing else during those 5 minutes!

Keeping it Real

With Yourself

I love Jude Temple’s approach to living more authentically, especially your “Authentic Self”!

  1. Be a good zookeeper.
  2. Listen to your body.
  3. Shut the “should” up.
  4. Try not trying.
  5. Tell the truth.
  6. Gather your tribe.

20160326_134811
One BIG World Out There!

#1 – Be A Good Zookeeper

Love This!

“Be a good zookeeper. It’s easier to connect with your Authentic Self when your physical self is content.

Our bodies are essentially animals, so be a good zookeeper to your animal. Feed it food it enjoys, keep it well-hydrated,

and offer it regular access to its preferred environment. A happy body creates a strong link to your Authentic Self.” ~Jude Temple

DSC_0410
Hello! YOU!!!

#2 – Listen To Your Body

Your body will take you down if you do not listen to it!

Ask yourself “How do you feel?”!

  • How do you communicate, interact and connect with your whole being?
  • How does your body feel when it experiences joy and excitment as well as happiness and contentment?
  • How does your body feel when it feels passionate and has a sense of purpose?
  • How does your body feel when you are open to the possibilities and expanding yourself to the opportunities?
  • How does listening to your body instead of your mind make you feel?

Cultivating . . . Listening . . . Growing . . .

#3 – Shut the “should” up

The words could, should and would need to be replaced with the words can, do and will! Along with the shoulds is the gottas and have tos. Instead start coming from a place of love and following your heart!

Give yourself permission without the guilt in doing what you are passionate about, especially in what you love! Get curious and explore. Play, laugh and have fun; find your inner BIG kid! Do what brings you joy and happiness.

DSC_0359
Loving, Believing, Hoping . . .

#4 – Try Not Trying

Give yourself a break!

  • Less overthinking.
  • Being more in the present.
  • Creating space by setting boundaries to value and respect yourself.
  • Practicing to progress, grow and gain experiences.
  • Going within yourself to find YOU!
  • Listening to your inner being.
  • Leading with your heart instead of your head.
  • Making time for yourself.
  • Focusing on your breathing.
  • Taking time to relax and rest.

DSC_0390
Time Out!

#5 – Tell The Truth

Telling the truth is not always easy, especially when it comes to the willingness to tell the truth to yourself! It can be tricky in finding that balance. The emotions, feelings and thoughts that the truth evokes in yourself and your whole being. It is important to express yourself and it it matters to have a voice, especially in being in control to make decisions and choices for YOU!

“Think of your Authentic Self as the you-est version of you.

She is your innate tendencies, your natural qualities, and your hard-wired personal preferences.

She is the part of you that likes salty over sweet, prefers an evening at home over a night out barhopping, and would choose Ryan Gosling over Ryan Reynolds any day of the week.

Your Authentic Self is the part of you that loves what she loves, wants what she wants, and knows precisely how to get there (if you let her).” ~Jude Temple

Baby steps can be key in getting started in telling the truth to yourself! You learn to pay attention and become more aware. You develop and experience personal growth on so many levels. You start to value, respect, believe, and trust in yourself; that is a HUGE step!

#6 – Gather Your Tribe

Be around the people who get you and value who you truly are! The communication, the interaction and the connection.Be around the people that love and support you! Love yourself and love your greatest someones. Gaining life experiences and making lifelong memories!

Remember – You Make Yourself and Your Whole Being Happy! Embrace Your Authentic Self. Make Time For the Relationship With Yourself. Love to Hear Your Thoughts, Please Share.

All In The Details

The Benefits of Mindfulness

  • Do you find that you are not 100% there when you have a task at hand?
  • Do you find yourself doing the task 50/50?
  • Do you think about “having more time”?
  • Do you find yourself just responding and reacting?

What are you thinking about? What is on your mind and taking over your brain?

232323232-fp83232-ydnpcuvbwsnrcgu;599-nu=3235-563--;3-WSNRCG=3772-23983325nu0mrj
Coming or Going???

In being distracted you miss information and it slows you down! You are working harder not smarter. You are wasting precious energy and time. You start doubting yourself and your abilities!

  • Are we focusing and retaining the information?
  • Are we really listening or just hearing what we want to hear?
  • Are we present and aware?
  • Are we paying attention to all the possibilities and opportunities?

This creates miscommunication and misunderstanding at times! We need to really listen and learn from within ourselves as well as from others around us. Not reacting and taking it personal! We need to communicate, interact and connect more fully with ourselves and others. That mindful attention and awareness!

DSC_0410
Are You Paying Attention? Are You Listening?

Practicing can . . .

  • Improve your memory and focus.
  • Tune you into your emotions, thoughts and feelings.
  • Reduce stress as well as anxiety and tension.
  • Give you a sense of awareness.
  • Help you communicate, interact and connect better.

The piece I struggle with in practicing mindfulness is in changing my mindset! The ego and the attitude. The expectations and the judgments. The preconceptions and the prejudices. How do you practice and integrate an open mindset where you see the good and the positive?

That type of clarity makes us more productive! To cope and handle it. That type of of calmness and balance makes us more progressive! To self monitor and to deal with it in a good and positive manner.

What Are You Discovering Today? Please Share, Love to Hear!

The Journey of Self

Discovering The True Version Of Your Self

This speaks volumes to me!

“We are not our life hats. We are not our professions. We are not our life roles.

In the end, we are that inner observer that sees, feels and experiences all these outside influences.

Losing these hats does not mean losing yourself – it just means starting a new adventure.”~Cristina Bold

I have been tuning into my inner being more and more!

DSC_0294
Tuning . . . Listening . . . Embracing . . .

Really ask yourself these questions . . .

  1. Where does your self worth come from?
  2. What are your intrinsic beliefs and values?
  3. What do you want, need, crave in living your life?
  4. What is leading you; your heart or your mind?
  5. Are we ever prepared?

DSC_0346
Practicing . . . Filling . . . Experiencing . . .

I am a planner and a preparer! I am learning though that when something does feel right to not overthink it. Go for it and do it! You cannot prepare for every experience. Sometimes you just have to let those experiences happen and embrace it. I am finding that learning to go with the flow can be quite the eye opening experience!

I am practicing to progress to discover who I am and be true to myself! I do not have to know my purpose. I can explore and find what I love to do. I can discover what I want, need and crave in living my life!

I am learning from my mistakes and celebrating my successes! I am learning to practice to progress. I am learning to do what is best for me and my whole being. I am learning that a journey of self is a great way to discover your true self and become a better version of your self too!

Peacefulness

Question for You Today!

Does peacefulness come from your state of mind or from your heart? Or Is it a combination of the two?

In practicing to progress I have found myself tapping into my heart to heal instead of just tuning into my mind to clear it out! It was quite a wake up and peaked my curiosity. Are my decisions and choices decided by my mind or my heart? Will I act or react with my mind or my heart?

20150413_145606

That play between perception and reality! How do I see things, especially from my mind’s point of view versus my heart’s point of view. Nothing is fixed and is in a constant state of flux, right!

That shift to opening my heart more, especially to myself and my whole being!

  • How to love . . .
  • How to communicate . . .
  • How to interact . . .
  • How to connect . . .
  • How to be . . .

To be loving and kind. To be appreciative and complimentary. To be caring and compassionate. To be grateful and thankful.

To communicate with your inner voice. To interact with your inner being. To connect with your inner guidance system.

To be mindful and present. To be a healthy and happy being. To be passionate and do what you love. To cherish our gifts and talents.

To CRAVE this life we get to live each and every day!

DSC_0194

How To Practice . . .

  • By breathing in and breathing out. Focusing on your breath to release and let go.
  • By taking it one step at a time and every once in a while just taking a big leap. Focusing on your sense of direction.
  • By being more mindful and present. Focusing on what is going on with you and around you.
  • By dreaming and visualizing peace and calm from the center of your being. Focusing in on what is filling your head. Focusing on filling your heart instead.
  • By being loving and kind to your whole being. Focusing on being gentle and keep practicing to progress.
  • By continuing to try. Pick yourself and start again. Focusing on the journey.

Here’s To Practicing Peacefulness and Focusing On Your Inner Calm Being! Love to Hear Your Thoughts, Please Share!

Neutral Balance

Slowing Down, Staying Present

How do you keep up the pace while finding that balance that works best for you?

I recently had a woe is me moment. I am guilty of getting sucked into the hurry mode lately. I needed to stop feeding into that mode too. Then I had that aha! moment!

I felt so much better in being a calmer being with a clearer head! Basically declutter your being as well as your life on a daily basis. It is hard to be, create, build, do, etc. when you have to much on your plate and running low on energy. Basically slow down to be a better processor and communicator!

“We generally experience less stress and fewer struggles in life when we move and speak slowly and mindfully.”~Chogyam Trungpa

That aha! moment taught me two important things! I need to be giving myself the love I deserve each and every day. I need to practice my coping skills to be more resilient. That will help me reconnect to my balance when I go off the rails!

Staying the course . . .

Practice . . .

  • Switching to manual and shifting into neutral.
  • Connecting with your breathe. Breath in . . . Breathe Out . . . Repeat . . .
  • Adjusting your speed to slowing down and coasting; physically and mentally.

I love this advice from Cara Bradley!

“Pausing, taking a deep breath and paying attention to the transition of entering a new space is an effective way of becoming present.”

You hurry less and learn to slow yourself down! You stress less and focus more. You make yourself a happier and healthier being. You have the power to be in control and take charge!

Being . . . Practicing . . . Growing . . .

Giving Yourself the Love You Deserve

Giving love . . . feeling love . . . love sweet love . . .

A healthy and happy being lets the possibilities and opportunities in by coming from a place of love and following your heart!

  • Follow what feels good to you and serves you best.
  • Make time for yourself and your whole being, especially for relaxation and rest.
  • Take the path that is meant for you to journey along.
  • Let go of the guilt in taking and making time for YOU!

You become more open and available in enjoying life’s experiences!

Do what feels good to you that brings you joy, happiness and ultimate pleasure! It truly attracts what you need and love to do in living the good life. When you believe and trust in yourself and live from within it leads you down your path to journey along!

I want to carry the good and the positive energy with me daily! Make the time to do for you. Make relaxation and rest a priority. Your whole being will love you and thank you!

Remember to clear your path! Stop putting up barriers that you create. Let go of the right and the perfection. Practice to progress in learning, growing and gaining life experiences!

Journeying Along . . .

Let go of the guilt too! It can be such a deterrent in being, creating, doing, etc. It can also keep you stuck and not moving forward. It can let your mind take control. It is not easy to do and is certainly a process to practice in order to progress in down lowing the guilt!

You need to open your mind to dream and follow your heart to what you desire! You need to learn how to process your thoughts, feelings and emotions. You need to learn how to process perfections and expectations to do for yourself. You need to remain true to who you are to truly go after what your heart desires and loves to do!

Being Resilient

What does being resilient mean?

  • Think about practicing your coping skills. Developing a coping tool kit to become more resilient.
  • Think about building upon your strengths and turning your weaknesses into strengths. Sharing your gifts and strengths with yourself and others.
  • Think about your challenges and struggles. Learning to cope. Developing your character. Doing it for your overall well being.
  • Think about handling it and dealing with it. Persevering. Being humble and kind to yourself and others.
  • Think about it as a learning and growing experience. Gaining important life experiences.

Resilience is a skill that you can develop! It is like strengthening another muscle and it gets stronger with practice, time and hard work. Where does the strength come from to handle as well as deal with what is thrown at us? By practicing your coping skills. By being true to who you are to believe and trust in yourself to make good decisions. By taking control and using your energies to be resilient.

Thinking . . . Learning . . . Gaining Experiences . . .

Ask Yourself These 2 Questions!

  • How do you tune into those feelings, thoughts and emotions to tap into being resilient?
  • How do you think being resilient helps in being a happier as well as healthier being?

Coping and resilience gives us the ability to overcome and bounce back! Changing your responses and putting the reactionary on the down low. Shifting your perceptions and putting the attitude on the down low. Experiencing personal growth through learning, developing and experiencing!

Remember you have control in how you respond and react to what life throws at you! To be open to the possibilities and opportunities, especially those true meaning life lessons. To build strength and resilience to endure challenges and struggles. To become stronger by learning, growing and experiencing!

Being true to who you are, especially your beliefs and values! To define your identity and find your purpose and passion in living your life to the fullest. To build that solid foundation to grow from and experience it all. Life is messy beautiful with many layers to explore and experience!

“Knowing in advance that we will come out of it stronger reduces some of the sting.
We all have the power to be the strongest, most resilient version of ourselves.”~Zelana Montminy
