Hanging Out

 Quality Time

When I talk about hanging out I am talking about real communication, interaction and connection!

  • Socializing and visiting.
  • Dancing and partying.
  • Cooking and eating.
  • Being active and playing.
  • Being a tourist or going on tours.
  • Volunteering, training, or teaching.
  • Shopping.
  • Getting creative and crafty.

The possibilities are limitless!

I love sharing a meal with friends! The getting together. The sharing of what is going on in our lives. The making of eats and drinks. The sitting down at the table to eat, share and connect!

It builds and strengthens relationships! Conversations and Laughter. Stories and Memories. Interaction and Connection!

That being fully present with each other when you are together! It is not easy to do at times due to technology. It is doable though and attainable if you make being fully present a priority. We should be fully present, especially for our greatest someone(s), right!

It helps in communicating, interacting and connecting to one another! It helps build that emotional intimacy to flourish and experience growth. It creates presence in being present with our whole beings!

It helps in staying healthy as well as happy in maintaining a social life! Strengthening social skills to communicate, interact and connect with a broad range of people. Building broad social relationships. It is so important to surround yourself with people you care about for love and support!

They will be there for you no matter what! They may even help and support you in eating well, being active, gaining experiences, etc!

On Yourself

The Relationship of Y-O-U

How important is building a fulfilling life for yourself, especially your health and your happiness?

That relationship with yourself and your whole being! You are responsible for your own fulfillment and no one else can provide that for us. You give yourself inspiration and energy as well as motivation and passion. You communicate, interact and connect to you and your self on all levels!

Showing yourself the love  . . . Building on it . . . Strengthening it . . .

You validate yourself from within by listening to your inner voice, coming from a place of love and believing and trusting in yourself! Self esteem and self confidence. Self love and self support. Self dependence and self independence. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

“Show your love courageously. Show your love openly.

Show your love with no strings attached. It’s safe to give and receive love.” ~Kris Carr

That relationship with yourself that makes you want to share it with others. You like yourself as well as attract others that want to be in the circle. That relationship with yourself that makes you open your heart to let love in. You nurture and nourish yourself and your wants and desires as well as your needs and wishes.

Presence of love . . .

The whole package that is you; your body, your heart, your mind, your relationships, etc.

  • Engage your mind, your heart and your body fully and completely.
  • Embrace your gifts and talents and learn to share them with others.
  • Practice and practice some more.

The body needs to move and be active. Get moving, dance, play, laugh and have FUN. The body also needs to relax and rest. Eat good and sleep better because it helps you heal your whole being.

The heart needs you to follow it and come from a place of l-o-v-e. Stimulate it by going after what motivates you and gets you passionate. Do what you love to do.

The brain is a muscle that needs regular exercise each and every day. By engaging as well as increasing your brain function you can learn, develop and experience growth. By tuning into your emotions, feelings and thoughts you can lower your stress and anxiety. By loving yourself you can express that love, kindness, caring, compassion, support, and empathy to yourself and others.

The relationship you have with yourself is very important. You are your best friend, cheerleader, supporter, protector, etc. The relationship you have with yourself depends on that relationship to live, create, develop, grow, experience, etc.

You are a human being that needs human contact, interaction and connection. You are finding love and companionship. You are finding wisdom and humor. You are finding you and sharing who you are with other people.

Here’s To Getting Out There, Grabbing It and Living the Life You Want to Live!!! Love to Hear Your Affirmations, Please Share!

Are Lessons In Love

Lessons Within Lessons and

Lessons of Life

Relationships are teachable moments with multiple layers and many lessons, especially in relation to other people! Just think about what you learn and what you share and what you gain in experiences from those relationships. Think about the relationship you have with yourself too. Pretty Amazing, right!

I love that I can be myself in certain relationships! I do have a voice and I can express myself. I feel that I can be open and free with who I am within that relationship. I can show and share myself and my many layers!

Showing Depth

It is a process though and it takes patience and commitment! I have to create that connection. I have to develop that communication and that interaction. I have to build on that relationship!

I need to trust in myself in order to open my heart and let another person into my inner circle! I can be more open and accepting of what I want to share about myself with another person when there is that trust too. Then there is the possibility and the opportunity to nurture, flourish and grow as a person!

Being Open

I enjoy when growth is a natural process between two people! That ability to build each other up instead of break each other down as individuals. Love versus Fear. Happiness versus Jealously. A desire to benefit and gain as well as experience and grow from and with each other!

I enjoy knowing where the boundaries are in order to give each other the personal space that we both need and want in a relationship! The giving and receiving. The listening and supporting. The respect, esteem and love for each other!

The not trying to change that person and letting them be who they are! The being there for each other when figuring out who we are, where our place is, what we want to do, and how to just live life in general!

Walking Side By Side

I love being an individual and having independence within a relationship! I certainly know it makes me a better partner and friend to myself and other people. I need my own interests, passions and dreams. I need to take time for myself and take care of my needs as well as my whole being!

Then I am not relying completely on another person to do that for me because I can do that for myself! I am nurturing and nourishing myself. I am feeding and fueling myself. Then I can spend time and share with another person and be there for them!

Some relationships are brief while others may last a lifetime! There will be lows and highs. There will be ups and downs. I think the greatest gifts to take out of any relationship is those lessons in growth and gaining life experiences!

Relationship for One

The Relationship With Yourself

Remember to INVEST in the relationship with yourself! It will be the most important relationship you have in your lifetime. Remember to RELATE to yourself each and every day and make it a POSITIVE interaction! With hard work, practice and exercise you will reap the greatest benefits and rewards in yourself. You have to BELIEVE and TRUST in yourself in order to take action and make it happen each and every day!

You are responsible for your self worth, so OWN it! It is okay to tell your crazy mind to just SHUT UP. Instead listen to YOU, follow your heart and trust in yourself for a CHANGE of pace! Take the time you need for yourself and just be a little kinder to yourself too.

Making Time . . . Switching Gears . . . Changing Pace

You are accountable for your actions, so take action and make it happen in living the life you want as well as DESERVE! You must live in the present and let go of the past and not worry about the future. STOP the torture with the negative, the blaming and the guilt you place on yourself. START celebrating what is AWESOME in your life no matter the size or shape that it comes in!

Life is going to be MESSY and certainly nowhere near PERFECTION! You just have to STICK a toe in and just WADE in or just do it in one BIG leap! Whatever works BEST in that MOMENT! Just GO FOR IT!!!

Dipping . . . Wading . . . Leaping – Just GO FOR IT!!!

I would rather focus on the good and the positive as well as the love, especially the love I have for myself when it comes to living the life I already do have! I want so much more of it too! I have talked about nuturing and nourshing yourself, your needs and your whole being. I want the satisfaction that I did good for myself today and every day. I want to tap into what makes me interested and passionate about wanting to get out there and experience it ALL!

YOUR Whole Being Will Thank You in Developing a GREAT Relationship with YOURSELF!!!

Such a Rule Breaker

Going Rogue On Myself

I am ready to let go of the one thing in my life that is no longer serving me to be the best me! I have a relationship that is harmful and borderline toxic. I am so lucky to have come out the other side with my sanity almost intact; however, it has taken a toll on me physically and spiritually. I know with time I will be a whole being once again!

I have to remove myself from that relationship so that I can move on! I want to be healthier as well as happier. Stress takes and takes and never gives back!

Sometimes you go with the flow and other times you go against the current to get what you want and need! I am ready for a change and ready to take a chance. Sometimes you go with what is expected of you and other times you have to just break some rules! I am going rogue on myself and breaking free to get to a better place in my life again.

I need to have a little faith and a whole lot of courage to jump into the unknown and the uncharted! Otherwise I am going to stay stuck in a rut and continue to be stunted when it comes to experiencing growth. I want to make space to enjoy the good and experience the new in my life. I am ready to write a few new rules to live by!

Sometimes the Nice Have to Release Their Inner Rogue and Break Some Rules!!!

Good Intentions

Better Interactions

It is hard enough understanding yourself at times let alone the other people you interact with on a daily basis! So how does one go about doing that with minimal conflict and playing well together?!?

Sometimes it requires you to put your wants and needs aside. Sometimes it is really listening and hearing the other person out without interuptions or suggestions. You have to develop a connection and build trust with that person!

In not communicating well, especially listening, you form communication barriers that are a deteriment and can really damage a relationship. Especially if one person or another becomes defensive or aggressive. I know it sucks at times, but sometimes you have to work out problems with others as well as resolve conflicts.

Sometimes it just comes down to the ability to listen as well as being able to assert yourself in certain situations. Human beings bring emotions into the mix too. I think the hardest situation to deal with is the “emotionally charged”! It can be stressful and hurtful.

You can develop good communication skills with effort and practice. In time you will be able to communicate concisely and clearly. A part of your success is learning to understand others as well as yourself in every day interactions. You can develop better relationships.

Here’s to Better Interactions and Greater Relationships!!!

Good Relations

Better Relationships

I know the hardest part for me in developing relationships is opening myself up to others. Especially when you have experienced bad relationships in the past.

I find that being myself and being true to who I am is important when it comes to developing a relationship with another person. If you respect yourself you are not going to change that in order to develop a relationship with someone. You are not being true to yourself and that is a start to an unhealthy relationship with someone!

I enjoy being social with others. I love the creative interaction too! Don’t you love those interactions where you pick up right where you left off even if it has been days or weeks since the last time you spoke to that person. I enjoy a relationship where someone just gets you and likes you for who you are.

Those are the relationships that nurture and nourish as well as gives you satisfaction and fulfillment in your life! It is such a loving and caring relationship to have in your life. It takes effort, hard work and understanding to create a relationship like that. So Worth It Though!

Sharing the Love (Photo by RSheridan)

So . . . Where Do You Hang Your Heart? I know a silly question right! Most of us probably hang in where it belongs and carry it with us every day. Some of us hang it on our sleeves at times. Some of us hang it at home at times. Where ever you hang it remember to share it with yourself and others!
