When Your Get Up Is GONE!
You know what I am talking about when it comes to the slump! It comes rushing in at 10:00 a.m. or taking over at 2:00 p.m. or has you crashing by 6:00 p.m. It is seasonal as well as happens when we fall back or spring forward with time. How do you maintain your energy throughout the day?
We cannot always be in the “on” position! Sooner or later we are going to crash and burn out. It is not pretty and then when you get sick on top of that it is just plain nasty business!
Being Active . . . Moving . . . Stretching . . .
All your energy is going out, but is it coming back in a good, healthy way! Probably not. This explains the slump, the tiredness, the crash, the fatigue, the burn out! Then try to shut your whole being down to get a good, restful sleep of 4 to 8 hours. It can be quite the cycle that takes a toll on your whole being, especially in adding stress, anxiety and tension to the mix!

- How do you use your energy wisely?
- How do you use your time efficiently and effectively?
- How do you motivate yourself?
Nourishing the body is key as well as hydrating throughout the day! Finding that balance between good protein and not overloading on carbs. Finding that balance with blood sugars, so you are not swinging from low to high and high to low. Find that balance that works best for you and your body to avoid the slump!
Hydrating . . . Refreshing . . . Recharging . . .
I give myself at least 15-minutes in the morning to relax and at least 30-minutes in the evening to unwind! I can get ready for the day and that unwinding in the evening helps prepare me for a good nights sleep. It is a work in progress in getting that restorative sleep to feel rested and have energy all day long though!

Finding That Balance
That Works BEST For YOU
I have talked about nurturing and nourishing yourself as well as your whole being! I think in terms of allowances when I think of nurturing and nourishing my whole being. Allowances are not only about what I allow into my body, but what I allow into my life! It has to be nourishing as well as nurturing. It has to be supportive too!
How Do I Nurture Myself and My Whole Being?
- Taking time for myself and taking care of my needs for my whole being.
- Taking charge of what I can control and accepting what I have no control over.
- Letting go and releasing what no longer serves me.
How Do I Nourish Myself and My Whole Being?
- Loving my whole being and being true to who I am.
- Spending quality time with my greatest someone and adventure partner.
- Creating a healthier as well as happier lifestyle for myself and my whole being; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
How Do I Support Myself and My Whole Being?
- Being true to my values as well as believing, trusting and having faith in myself.
- Living my life with purpose and passion.
- Nurturing and Nourishing my needs and my wants.

The BEST part for me is finding what works BEST for my whole being! The good and positive versus the bad and negative. The gives me energy versus takes energy from me. The spending of my time versus the wasting of my time. I need to find my balance and add in doing more of what I love!
For me . . .
Nourishment = energy, motivation and inspiration (excitement).
Nurture = potential, purpose and passion.
I need to be the person I want to be around! I do not like me when I am on “over” anything and everything, stressed out and burnt out. I need to find what fulfills me and makes me happy. I need to find what satisfies me and drives me to do my best and be at my best!

Working It Out
From the Inside Out
The biggest lesson I have learned in creating this healthier lifestyle is that everything is connected!
I am learning . . .
- How to move my body in the proper way.
- How to breathe throughout the motions and movements.
- How to align my body properly and watch my posture.
- How to avoid or decrease hurt, pain and/or injury.
- How to eat to address inflammation.
- How to nourish my whole being.
- How to nurture my whole being.
I went into nutrition mode! Protein, good fats and amino acids. Nutrients, minerals and vitamins. Fruits, veggies and plenty of water. I am noticing changes for the better and my body seems to be working more effectively and efficiently!
Eating properly is as important as being active! I am seeing the benefit, reaping the rewards and making great gains in my overall health. My immune system is a big player too! I have noticed that I am more physically able when my immune system is working properly and functioning at its best for me.
I am giving my joints, my muscles and my bones the love and the attention that my body needs and craves! I have done and continue to do wear and tear to my body in being an active person. I feel pretty great in the practice and the progress that I am making in becoming a healthier person!

What Are You Learning From Your Whole Being? Love to Hear, Please Share!
I do really well dreaming, imagining and visioning! I usually lose my place when it comes to taking action. I do a lot of starting and stopping and not much focusing and finishing! I tend to focus more on the next thing instead of the task at hand. I do not take the time to enjoy the process!
Motivations and Drives
I wonder and ponder about my motivations and my drives when dreaming! My motivations are either about getting through my daily life and focusing on my wants and needs. My drives are either introverted or extroverted selves. In knowing myself better I can tune in and tap into my hopes, wishes and dreams!
I want to interact and connect with myself on a deeper level! I want to be involved and be integrated to a bigger part of my little world. I want to find that balance between being and doing. I want to be true to who I am and honor myself by going after what I want in living my life!
Nourish and Nurture
I wonder and ponder about how I feed and fuel my passions! I seek out inspiration to spark my creative side. I seek out adventure to tune into my curious side! I seek out opportunities to learn and grow as a person. I seek out what life has to offer me by being open and experiencing it!
I want to take action and make it happen! I need to move forward and not get stuck in one place for too long. I want to make good choices and decisions to find the directions to keep me moving ahead! I am hoping it will help me clear a path on this journey of life.
Receiving and Reflecting
I wonder and ponder about what I have received and what I will continue to receive in my life! I want to be more aware and more mindful when in the present moment. I need to slow down and enjoy the process more too. I appreciate and I am grateful for what I do have in my life!
I have been taking the time to reflect on my day! I can release, let go and move on. Tomorrow is the start of a new day!
Lessons and Living
The hardest lesson I had to learn is believing in myself and trusting myself and my intuition once again! I lost myself there for a while and stopped using the talents and gifts I have been given. I did not stop questioning and challenging myself, but I was not listening to myself for the answers either. I had to create the space I needed to find that part of myself and it feels good to have it back!
