The Whole Being

Do you nurture and nourish your body on a daily basis?

The things we do to live our lives keeps us moving and shaking! It is so worth it though. Life is beautifully messy and busy!

However, sometimes we feel like we are just going through the motions! We fall out of practice, especially making time for our whole beings!

Reset the routine from time to time! Find that motivation and excitement again. Find your center and energy again. Your whole being will thank you!

We all can use a check in with ourselves to take stock and tune up the body, mind and spirit!

  • Am I still headed in the direction to follow my path to journey along?
  • Are my pursuits purposeful?
  • Are my ambitions and passions on track with my intentions?
  • Where is my focus and am I mindful of where I am heading?

Do you tap into your mind on a daily basis? Do you talk it out or write it out when it comes to your thoughts, feelings and emotions. You just have to get it out of your head to release, let go and move on! Otherwise you are creating worry and stress for yourself and that is not good for your well being.

Making the time to be mindful as well as grateful! It gives you clarity to form a plan of action. It lets you clear your mind to create space for new things. Be one with yourself and connect with your breathe!

Let your mind wander and the thoughts flow freely!

Do you tune into your spirit on a daily basis? Do you instill a practice into your daily life. Do you make the time to connect, interact and communicate with your whole being. Do what is best for you and serves your needs!

Making time to reconnect with yourself and your whole being! Making time to refresh and renew. Making time to go within to center yourself to find balance and energy! Making time to relax and rest.

Practice and Practice Some More

Building Strength, Mentally

My mental state takes a beating at times! I have to say most of it comes from myself. I set expectations and have my perceptions of myself, other people and in situations. I have to get out of my head and not be so willing to follow my crazy mind!

When I am under pressure I cannot focus mentally. When I am dealing with other people I either want to flee or fight, especially if there is drama, conflict and/or confrontation. When I am in a demanding situation I sometimes struggle when it comes to thinking clearly and concisely. I am just stretched to my limit or at least I THINK I am!

How do you strengthen your mental aptitude?

The biggest lesson I have learned from building strength mentally is to know myself! Also, it helps to know what is important to me. It matters to me in staying true to who I am! It gives me a sense of priority and purpose too.

I try to remain as calm and collected as possible. I try to put a smile and a positive spin on it too! Sometimes instead of envisioning the outcome I focus on the challenge at hand. This gives me a plan when figuring out what I want to do and where I want to go!

Basically, I ask myself 2 questions!

  1. What did I do well?
  2. What solutions are available to me to solve the problem at hand?

I remember the one manager I had a few years back. This manager did not want to hear problems unless you came with some solutions to those problems! This manager wanted you to change your thought process of a problem to focusing on thinking of solutions. I know it helped me in my thought processes as well as strengthing my mental aptitude!

This manager also helped me be more self motivated and to really trust myself and my abilities! This manager really challenged me mentally as well as motivated me mentally, emotionally and physically. I enjoyed that constructive feedback and that overall collaboration. I appreciated that building up instead of breaking me down!

This also holds me accountable to myself! If I take accountability I am way more likely to be successful. I really do not want to slack off, pass off or short myself. For me it is about doing the best that I can and knowing that I did it to the best of my abilities too! Otherwise I am not gaining, growing or learning in these situations because I am not following through to the end.

By growing and learning I am changing, improving and transitioning as a person and a better version of myself too! I strongly believe in learning and doing better when I make mistakes, have setbacks and experience failures. In building my mental strength I build my confidence too! This helps reduce the anxiety, pressure and stress. I have the ability to remain focused and hopefully find my patient, calm and collected self. The ultimate end result is being able to perform better by being able to think on my feet in order to take action!

Here’s a Brain Teaser to Keep Your Mind Sharp – Can you think of a word associated with all three of these words: cottage, Swiss, cake? Go!

Be Aware Of . . .

Your Self, Especially Your Mind

I do not like when my mind sets me up for failure by telling me I CANNOT do something! I take that as a challenge and go into self-protection mode. I want to do battle and beat my mind at its own tricks. Especially when it is making a fool of me!

I love when my mind chooses to change focus to TEMPT me! I will be craving the sugary, the salty and the chocolatey. I will be dreaming about escaping to far away places. Stop with the self-sabotage already!

WATCH Your Step!

I love when my mind decides to trip me up even more with adding in the GUILT! I almost feel like giving up and doing nothing. Then my heart steps in to give me a little love and tell me I do deserve it. Thank you for saving my sanity!

The best one by far is when the mind becomes bored and wants to be where the action is! I do not do boredom well and by the time the boredom has set in my patience has already come and gone. I start feeling caged and cornered and looking for any way to escape. Let me out of my head and into living my life!

The Mind Will Play Tricks On You, So Listen to Your Heart and Inner Voice a Little MORE!!!

Out of Rooms

Cleaning The “Emotional House”

I have been learning to live in the present and treat each day as a gift! Part of the process is letting go of the crud that clutters my body, mind and spirit; cleaning my “emotional house”. This crud is not important, certainly does not matter and just takes up valuable real estate. The hardest lesson of letting go is when you have NO CONTROL! You either roll with it or stress yourself out.

I want to put my energies into the GREAT things in my life!

Think About . . .

  • Reenergizing Your Body
  • Cleansing Your Mind
  • Lifting Your Spirit
  • Putting Your Heart & Soul into WHAT MATTERS!

How do you know WHAT MATTERS is between you and yourself? You will KNOW when you FIND IT! How do you find your inner strength and emotional freedom? I find it by being true to myself, feeding my body and living life!

I am not going to say that being open to what life has to offer has been easy for me because you are putting yourself out there. Some people just do not understand and heck there are days I do not even understand it myself. I just get out there and try to be and do the best I can! Yes, it scares me as well as at the same time frees me!

Feed Your Mind & Soul

Strong Body, Warm Heart, Active Spirit

How do you nourish your body, mind and spirit? I feel that it starts with being an active person – feed the machine per se! I realize that day after day over time we can get bogged down in the daily grind of life. You MAKE LIFE what IT IS though!

Some Options to Consider:

  • Select Healthier Food Choices
  • Get Your Exercise On
  • Put Stress on the Down Low
  • Love to Learn Daily
  • Be Socially Active
  • Explore & Adventure Extensively

I do not care for the “D” word! Instead I think in terms of changing one’s lifestyle and selecting healthier food choices. We all DESERVE to indulge and treat ourselves! Have FUN trying new foods and new ways to cook foods.

Simply EXERCISE makes your body and mind strong as well as gets the HEART pumping. There are multiple ways to get your exercise on and have fun doing it!

Put that STRESS on the Down Low. There are times where you are in control and other times where you just might have to ROLL with it.

Learn something NEW every day! Keeps the mind sharp and the spirit active. I love to learn and read as well as try new things and challenge myself.

Here’s the one I LOVE – be SOCIALLY active!!! Does this mean that you have to turn yourself into the Social Butterfly, certainly not. However, get out there and get involved in LIFE – so many wonderful opportunities out there if you are open to them.

Another FAVORITE one – Explore & Adventure Extensively! This truly can CHALLENGE your body, mind and spirit. We are curious by nature, so why not put it to good use!
