Creative Inspiration

Spark Your Creativity

You know that creative being is inside you, right! Most of us have a need to create. You know you want to color outside the lines and think outside the box!

How to get motivated and let the creative juices just flow?

Inspiration and motivation is two-fold with creativity. When we lack inspiration and motivation it may be a sign to get the creative juices flowing and get out of the normal routine. Then we need inspiration and motivation to be creative. It is all part of the creative process.

Where to Start!

  • Try something new.
  • Up for a Little Challenge – Try something you do not think you are very good at.
  • Get curious and explore lots of different things.
  • Learn, learn, learn lots of different things.
  • Journal and write.
  • Read and color.
  • Cook and bake.
  • Photography or painting.
  • A picture, a motivational quote or an inspirational story.
  • Get out into nature.
  • Be around other creative beings.
  • Play music and dance.
  • Meditating or letting your mind wander.

Another key piece of the creative process is to let the creativity go and let it evolve! Focus on the process at hand. Express your whole self. Just envision, innovate and create!

Love and enjoy the process of creating! Take pleasure and joy from creating and let it inspire and motivate your whole being. Be proud of what you create because it is an expression of you. Most of all do it because you love it!

Inspirational Forces

Be Inspired . . .

In my opinion Elizabeth Gilbert is an inspirational force to me! Her book Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear just speaks volumes and on so many levels to my whole being. Creating and living a creative life!

“Creative Forces of Enchantment.” ~ Elizabeth Gilbert

To Be Curious

I still embrace my curiosity as an adult!

I like the phrase “creative” living! It applies to each and everyone of us. We all have gifts, talents and passions that we need to share with ourselves as well as other people!

The fun part is discovering what you love and what gives you passion and purpose in living your life! Tuning into your whole being and tapping into what you love, makes you happy and brings you joy. I am practicing to go after what I love most! It inspires, motivates and energizes my whole being. I am learning to come from a place of love by following my heart and doing more of what I love to do!

A big part of that process is facing head on what I fear most! There is nothing wrong in being fearful, however; if it stops you from living your life then that is not a good place to be. Taking a hard look at your values and beliefs as well as your attitudes and habits. You have to learn how to process and work through that fear in order to keep moving forward in creating and living your life!

The relationship between fear and creativity: “Fear is a desolate boneyard where our dreams go to desiccate in the hot sun.” ~Elizabeth Gilbert

There needs to be that balance that works best for you and your whole being! Fear can be healthy in that it protects you from very real dangers. Every one of use is hardwired with a feeling of fear and sensing that fear to be good or bad. You have to create space and make boundaries to guide you in a safe and protected manner!

Discovering . . .

To Be Free

I know the greatest lesson I have given myself and my whole being lately is practicing mindfulness! Just being in the present moment. I experience more passion and creativity as well as joy and happiness by being in that moment. That race to be all and do it all is draining and exhausting and really gets me nowhere with nothing gained!

It is about feeling inspired and motivated to explore, create and pursue what you want and need in creating and living your life! However, what matters is going for it and doing it! To be open to the possibilities. To be passionate to create.

Being inspired makes you open and motivated and energized to do more of what you love! To be curious to explore and try new things. To imagine and create. To communicate, interact, engage, and connect to your whole being. It can be a freeing process!

Just unleash your creative side and let it out to play!

Practicing . . .

To Be Brave

Here is the BIGGEST Revelation that I have had – Everything is Connected! There is meaning. There is purpose. There is conviction. Those unconnected events are connected in so many ways and on so many levels when it comes to creating and living our lives!

The decisions and choices we make or do not make. Being stuck and getting unstuck.

The chances and the risks we take or do not take. Learning, growing and experiencing.

The way we respond and react. Changing and transitioning. Transforming and being true to who you are.

Everything is part of a bigger plan and some things come back around! Practicing, testing, learning. Developing, growing, experiencing. Every experience matters on some level in creating and living your life!

Doing the things that scare you.

Being in the moment making those life memories.

Being humble as well as vulnerable to allow yourself to just go there, go for it and do it.

Taking That 1st Step . . .

To Be Creative

I practice cultivating creativity by making time to play, explore and adventure! Being able to use my imagination. Being able to express myself on many levels. By having creative outlets I am more effective and efficient in other areas of my life!

Being creative is about immersing myself in the process and enjoying being in that creative zone and flow of creative energy! It lets me stretch myself and try new things. It lets me explore my potential, gives me purpose and makes me feel good. Being creative is very much a part of my whole being!

Being creative is about being aware of my surroundings and tapping into my senses! Paying attention and taking notice. Thinking outside of the box and coloring outside of the lines. That awareness creates inspiration and sparks creativity!

Creativity is like breathing at least for me! I see the good and the positive. I wish, hope and dream. I find life more exciting!

The Inspiration In

Living Your Life

Think about what sparks your inspiration! Then Tap Into It!

  • Spending time with your greatest someone(s).
  • Great conversations with tons of laughter and good time memories.
  • Escaping and wandering.
  • Exploring and adventuring.
  • Getting outside.
  • Dancing.
  • Singing out loud and at the top of your lungs.
  • Doing something kid-like; playing, biking, swinging, water fights, etc.
  • Being around inspiring, creative and motivating people.
  • Finding inspiration each and every day.

I love tuning into and tapping into my passions! It inspires and motivates my whole being. It energizes and fulfills me. It makes me happy and gives me joy. In being passionate I follow my heart and that gives me direction in living my life!

I spark my creativity through reading, writing and photography! I can just escape and get lost in a good book. I love creating a story with pictures!

I love nurturing and nourishing my creative being! It feeds my whole being and fuels my passions. It gives me a voice and another way to communicate and connect to myself as well as others. It gives me a way to express myself!

I love sharing! The ability to teach others and learn from each other. The sharing of experiences. The sharing of the wealth of knowledge with each other!

I am working on my listening skills to be more open and receptive! When I take the time to listen I feel more connected and engaged to myself. The silence and the solace gives me the chance to soak up my surroundings and take in what is going on around me!

Learning is growing and experiencing! Being challenged and figuring it out. Brain storming and problem solving. Being curious and creative! Practice and process to progress. Being able to expand your knowledge and skill set and gaining experiences!

I am a curious being who loves to explore and who craves adventure! I am tapping into the new and tuning into my potential to grow as a person. It inspires, motivates and excites me to try new things and stretch my comfort zone. It is about taking the risks that work best for me. My curiosity gives me the willingness to open up to experience and expand my world!

Play, Laughing, Having Fun

Playfulness is a great mood booster and energizer to spark creativity and inspiration! I feel carefree and the need to be silly overcomes me. I escape the routine and seriousness when having fun. I love laughing and having a good time!

Taking Action . . . Go!

3 More Things to think about and to consider in sparking you into action!

  1. Create A Vision Board.
  2. Come Up With a Passion Project.
  3. Create A “Life List” Of What You Want To Do and Love.

A vision board gives me a place to be clear about what I want in my life! It gives me direction and intention. I am able to trust in the practice and process to make progress in getting closer to my visions and making my visions reality. I am able to commit to myself in going after what I want!

My passion project at this moment is blogging about life and travel experiences!

I have a life bucket list and a travel bucket list! It keeps getting longer and longer with the things I want to do and experience. I am all about the enjoyable and new adventures!

Powering Through

Exercise Motivation

I do not always feel up to working out, but I make a commitment to myself to go at least two times a week no matter what! I really struggle on days where I am tired, in a foul mood or just had a negative, downer day. I use the motivation to go by telling myself I will feel much better after exercising and I do! I also find the motivation in putting on my work out clothes and my tennis shoes on. It is go time!

Getting Into Gear & Just Going . . .

I am constantly telling myself I can do this or that or at least give it a try! I grew up being active and pretty athletic. That helps when it comes to working out and exercising. I tell my crazy mind what I am doing and put my body into action!

I am learning that I am stronger than I think! I am creating that  foundation to build off of to get stronger and to develop my endurance over time. I am learning that there is a difference between my inner strength and my physical strength. I am discovering my strong and enjoying the process!

Discovering My STRONG!

I am learning that I have to continue to challenge my whole being! I need to stimulate my mind, engage my body and tune in from the inside out. It certainly helps me in all aspects of my life too! I use to think repeat and repeat. Now I think practice and repeat, which leads to challenge and results in change. I love seeing the results and gaining the rewards!

I am pushing my body and my whole being to new limits and actually like it! Challenging and different are good for me. I am okay with sweating now because I know I am working hard! I can do anything for at least 20 seconds when pushing my body, especially in doing something new. Just dig in and get it done already because then it will be over!

One Step At A Time  . . .

I am my biggest cheerleader and supporter! I motivate, inspire and encourage myself. Yes, I talk to myself when working out. Yes, I make a few noises when working out. Yes, I can laugh at myself and have a good time doing it too!

A Shot of Energy

What Gives You a Boost Of Energy?

There are days I swear my arse is 2 inches from the floor because I am just dragging and super low on energy! The Coffee IV drip is not working. The caffeine jolt and the sugar high are no longer cutting it. I am looking for anything and everything that will just give me a boost of energy!

Good Fuel for the Body

I am not looking for that boost of energy that has me crashing in a few hours though either! No thanks to the surge, crash and burn!

My Top 5

  1. Being With My Greatest Someone and Someones.
  2. Taking Time For Myself.
  3. Traveling, Adventuring and Exploring.
  4. Getting Outdoors.
  5. Reading and Writing.

How Do You Maintain and/or Sustain Your Energy Throughout The Day?

I have made a change in my lifestyle over the past three years to create a healthier way of living! I am finding that balance and that level of activeness that works best for me. This includes connecting better with myself, my needs and my emotions, feelings and thoughts. I want to explore and experience more, which inspires, motivates and energizes me even more!

For me it is about . . .

  • Being more, doing less.
  • Finding that work/life balance.
  • Getting my 7 to 9 hours of sleep a night.
  • Finding that moderation that works best for me.
  • Nurturing and nourishing myself in a healthy way.

I have to get my 7 to 9 hours of sleep a night or I am just cranky and pretty much worthless! I am in a better mood when I nurture and nourish myself, my needs and my whole being. I am a better person when I can escape the 8 to 5 and have a little fun and play time. The greatest lesson I have learned is to do what works best for me!

Climbing . . . Exploring . . . Living the GOOD Life!

Breaking FREE!!!

What Do You Struggle With?

My Top 3 Struggles

  1. Disruptions
  2. Distractions
  3. Gratification (NOW!, not later on)

These 3 are an energy drainer and a time sucker! I am on the fast track to burn out some days, weeks or even months.

Beeing In the Simpler Life

For me it is about . . .

  • Hydration and craving water elements.
  • Breaks and learning to breathe. Talk about a great energy booster!
  • Music and moving and dancing. Talk about a great stress reliever!
  • Natural light and soaking it in (in a healthy way of course). Talk about a mood lifter!
  • Green and the many benefits. Talk about a pick me up!
  • Citrus and its scent boosting powers.
  • Trail mix – nuts, seeds, berries, and dark chocolate. Yes, please!
  • Stand up and sit less.
  • Surround sound system of the good and the positve!

Simply I just need a shot of inspiration and a spark of creativity to give me a boost of energy! Especially of the good and the positive. Having the support of your greatest someone(s) helps too!

Welcoming the Day

Taking It One Day at a Time!

I am all for Welcoming a New Day! I prefer to start the day on a good foot and be in the present moment. However, I am not on the happier side of life every day! Some days I need a little practice to see the positive light and just be.

I have to find the 3 I’s:

  • Inspiration
  • In the Present Moment
  • Intention

What Inspires You On a Daily Basis?

I enjoy a great breakfast and a cup of joe. I love sharing and receiving smiles and laughs! I enjoy when someone does something nice for me. I love to take time out for myself to read and write!

In the Present Moment

How Do You Be In the Present Moment?

I really try to approach each day as if it is a GIFT! A gift that is opened carefully, embraced and celebrated. I prefer to find the calm among the chaos and focus on one task at a time! Otherwise I just feel stressed out and overwhelmed.

What is Your Mantra on a Daily Basis? What Will You Create Today? Do You Believe That What You Desire Will Come True?

Some people have a favorite quote or poem. Some people create daily affirmations or have an agenda for the day. Some people like to journal and write down thoughts and actions. Some people like to reflect on the day; mindful of, grateful for, appreciate this and that.

Here’s to Discovering That You Are Right Where You Need To Be!!!

A Little Goes A Long Way

Love this Quote!

Enthusiasm is excitement with inspiration,

motivation and a pinch of creativity. ~Bo Bennett

This quote makes me think of seeing the world through the eyes of a 5-year-old. There enthusiasm gets you excited to just get out there to explore and adventure. You are inspired to just let loose. You are motivated to release your inner child. You are so going on a creative streak!
