See the Greater Picture

Take in the Details Too!

With all the craziness going on lately in this world it got me thinking.

Open Minded/Close Minded

Are you more open minded or closed minded when it comes to the craziness and chaos? Do you see the greater picture or focus in on the details? For me I think it depends on the situation and just how crazy and chaotic it is in order to wrap my head around it. Sometimes I feel like sticking my fingers in my ears and saying “I cannot hear you!”.

Desensitized/Aware

Do you become desensitized or more aware in your surroundings? For me some things I just have become desensitized to while other things just cause me to be more aware. The one thing that really scares the bleep out of me is that mass shootings seem to be the norm lately and that is a tragedy. There are times when the craziness gets me motivated to take action, but then I falter when not knowing what action I should take.

Explore/Shut the Door

Are you more open to explore or just shut the door and call it a day? I feel a real sense some days of people taking care of themselves and then becoming a community when tragedy strikes. That is just sad because a sense of community should result from good too. There is a real sense of distrust among people and it has become a one on one for survival lately.

Potential/Inspiration

Do you look for the potential and/or inspiration among the craziness and chaos? Do you look for ways to make a difference? If so, how do you make a difference. I would love to know!

Please note these are my opinions and ramblings that I share with you. I have tried to leave the questions open-ended, so people feel free to share in order to have a healthy discussion. Please refrain from conflict and confrontation among the discussions unless it is a healthy reaction that adds to the discussion. Thank you!

Here’s a Smile, Please Share It & Spread It to Others! Thank you!

The Journey

To Becoming a Blog Writer

How I Decided to Become a Blog Writer . . .

Basically I decided to become a blog writer out of frustration. I was documenting my travels by uploading my photographs to an online site to share with family and friends. However this did not document the whole travel experience. I tried scrapbooking for a while. I want to be out there traveling not in a back room of my house putting scrapbooks together.

The travels per year started to increase, so out came the notebook along with the camera. One day after uploading photos from a recent trip and looking at my notes to caption photos I had an idea pop into my head. Where can I document my travels and upload my photos into one program??? A Blog!

Did I start a blog right then and there? No! I am at times a bit too practical when it comes to jumping right into something. I had some unanswered questions, so it was research time. I tried one platform and did not like it. Then I found this thing called WordPress and we just clicked!

Then the journey to becoming a blog writer began! The easiest part of being a blog writer was coming up with the name of my blog. The fun part of being a blog writer is sharing my travels and adventures with other people. The greatest part is being part of the amazing blogging community! The challenging part of being a blog writer is finding my writing style and generating great content. The hardest part of being a blog writer was just putting myself out there, but I am glad I did it!

The Journey Continues . . . Stay Tuned!!!

1st Anniversary

Here’s to a Blog Well Done!

I started this blogging journey a year ago today. My 1st blog post was on the U.S. National Parks. My 1st Milestone was on 12/1/11 with having 5,000 visitors to my blog – pretty awesome! I received “A True Honor” on 9/27/11 when I was nominated for The Versatile Blogger Award – a huge part of this nomination came from my loyal readers, thanks! I received the Kreativ Blogger Award on 1/25/12. I received the Liebster Award on 2/25/2012.

I have to say if you want to discover more about yourself start a blog. Talk about putting yourself out there on a daily basis – EXCITING & SCARY!!!

I am discovering my writing style and/or flair. I am exploring in my writing if I have a sense of humor or not. I love adding a visual aspect in my posts through my photography. I just enjoy creative writing again!

You want to know the BEST PART of writing a blog. The blogging community! I apreciate their guidance, support and kudos. I enjoy reading, following, commenting, and subscribing to their blogs and vice versa – pretty awesome exchange!

When I started my blog I felt alone and like I was writing to myself. Then before I knew it my blog BLOOMED (6th month) and then EXPLODED (9th month) and started taking on a life of its own. Wait for me!!! Just when you think is this blog ever going to take off, it just takes off running and goes full speed ahead.

Reaching Out

Neil Diamond Said IT Best in Sweet Caroline

Reaching Out, Touching ME, Touching YOU!!! Here’s to the Blogging Community and YOU Who Make IT Happen Every Day!

I have recently made a connection with the person who nominated me for the Liebster Blog. Lisa at Food Table/La Vie Eclectique usually keeps me guessing when it comes to her posts. I love that and that she truly keeps it eclectic when it comes to living life. Thanks so much!

Leibster in German means “dearest”, “beloved” or “favorite”. The idea of the Leibster Award is to bring attention to blogs with less than 200 followers all in the spirit of gathering more connections.

I present the Liebster Award to the following Bloggers . . . Drum Roll Please!

Please note that some of these bloggers may have already been awarded this award as well as may have more than 200 followers.

Honey n Hero – Life, Adventure and of course Food

Soulshine Traveler – Traveling and Wandering

SKE Dazzles – Inspiration Galore + Travel and Photography

The Pescetarian and The Pig – Foodie and the antics of a pig called Cupcake

City Hippy Farm Girl – Foodie City Girl with Hippy Tendencies & Farm Girl Aspirations

Here’s to Reaching Out & Making Great Connections!

Oh So Thankful

YOU Make Me Smile!!!

By YOU I mean my readers, followers and commenters. The response to my recent blog posts just continues to inspire me to write great content for you. I LOVE the sense of community! You never think for a minute that having an online relationship would work; let alone truly form a bond with certain individuals.

You let me share a part of myself and I get a peek into your life too! You bring a smile to my face, somehow know when I need a good belly laugh and every so often we vent to one another.

Just think about what we bring to each other’s day, like a online help hotline 365/24/7! Simply the Best for sure!

Thanks Again, From the Bottom of My Heart! Thanks for Your Inspiration & Overall Support on a Daily Basis!
