There Is No Turning Back –

At Least For Me

A Traveling Bug

I am often asked why I like to travel and travel more than a few times a year too.

  • I travel to stretch myself and my comfort zone.
  • I travel to learn, grow and gain experiences.
  • I travel to explore and adventure.
  • I travel to follow my heart’s desire in doing what I love.
  • My whole being craves it!

I grew up with a sense of curiosity that had me out there imagining and creating as well as exploring and adventuring; mentally and physically! I could lose myself for hours in a good book or out in the great outdoors. There was no greater escape than to be set free for a few hours or even for the day!

Being OPEN to this BIG WORLD I Live In!

I first learned to be a traveler by sitting down to read and later on watching history, nature and arts on the television. I call this arm chair traveling now! I also learned to gain experiences early on by playing sports, going camping and being exposed to the arts with dance and piano lessons. That well roundedness is still with me as an adult in traveling, adventuring and exploring the world I live in!

There is nothing better than journeying along and adventuring on.

There is nothing better than being in the moment and making memories that last a lifetime.

There is nothing better than gaining experiences and creating your story. ~RSheridan

When I feel like the four walls I live in start closing in around me then I know it is time to ESCAPE for a while! Pack the bags and go. I can reconnect and recharge my whole being!

Talk about gaining a new perspective while traveling! New! places, history, cultures, languages, lifestyles, foods, etc. The experiences and just what you gain for yourself and your whole being in getting out there!

Embrace NEWNESS!

I CRAVE Adventure! I remember holding the encyclopedia books in my hands, going on field trips and heading out with the family on trips. Hands on is the way to learn, grow and gain experiences! Getting out and doing as well as exploring and adventuring on.

The greatest gift that traveling has given to me is being more open, especially in learning how to just go with the flow! I prefer structure and a schedule, but some times that does not work the best when traveling. Have to think on your feet, adapt, change, and just go with the flow at times! Being in the present moment and embracing it is a beautiful gift in traveling, adventuring and exploring.

Intentions of Self

An Intentional Practice

Self love and self care are so IMPORTANT in living your life and coming from a place of love each and every day! There should be no guilt or shame in putting yourself and your needs first. Setting self intentions is a GOOD practice! You give back to yourself and in doing so can give back to others.

My Top 5

  • I will listen to myself and take care of myself and my needs for today.
  • I will eat well and be active throughout my day.
  • I will connect to my breathe and just be.
  • I will come from a place of love.
  • I will be open to the opportunities to learn, grow and gain experiences.

Honeymoon Island State Park

A Natural Beauty

Nature. Bird Life. Seashells by the Seashore.

Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island were originally part of a large barrier island that split in half during a major hurrican in 1921. The waterway between the islands is known as Hurricane Pass.

Honeymoon Island was formerly known as Hog Island. In the early 1940’s, honeymoon-type huts were built on the island for vacationing and the name was changed.

Love This Quote!

“When all your desires are distilled
You will cast two votes
To love more and to be happy.” -Hafiz

Do you practice contentment in living your life? Do you find that calm and balanced self by going within your whole being?

You Love Me . .  You Make Me Happy . . . You Love Me More . . . You Make Me Happier . . .  (Photo by RSheridan)

I am practicing to be in the present moment and not be thinking about the next thing and the next thing and the thing after that! That constant searching can be frustrating and exhausting. I am in control as well as in charge of my contentment and my happiness. I really seek out what I need and love in living my life to the fullest now!

  • Contentment and Calm.
  • Happiness and Joy.
  • Passion and Compassion.
  • Love and Transition.
  • Truth and Honesty.

Gratitude Intentions

An Intentional Practice

I enjoy taking the time to reflect what I am grateful for and thankful for on a daily basis! I also take the time to release and just let go of what is no longer serving me at the end of the day. I enjoy the practice in order to progress, develop and continue to grow as a person! It gives me inspiration and motivation as well as energizes and drives me.

My Top 3

  1. I am thankful for the life I get to live each and every day, especially today.
  2. I will nurture and nourish my whole being today.
  3. I will take time to center myself, breathe and connect from my feet to my head and just say THANK YOU!

Have You Said “Thank You” Today!

Trust is a firm BELIEF in the ability, strength, reliability, or truth of someone of something.

Belief is the trust, FAITH or confidence in someone or something.

Faith is the COMPLETE TRUST or confidence in someone or something.

Have you found your inner warrior?

  • It is about being true to yourself and who you are.
  • It is about loving you for you.

Strength and Courage.

  • It is about communicating, interacting and connecting with your whole self.
  • It is about encouraging, expressing and empowering yourself.

Spirit and Soul.

  • It is about discovering your inner core to find your balanced, calm and peaceful self.
  • It is about practicing to learn, grow and experience.

Breathe and Energy.

Your Path

Ask yourself these 3 Questions.

  1. Do you commit to yourself?
  2. Do you know what works BEST for YOU?
  3. Do you practice to process and progress?

There is no perfect and there is no one right way!

You have to believe in and trust your whole self! Your values, your instincts, your boundaries, etc. You are the one in charge and you are the only one that has your back too! Your faith, your love, your compassion, etc.

Your Story

In practicing to process and progress you learn, grow and experience and that is what adds dimension, depth and interest to your story! You attract what you want by doing what you love and coming from a place of love. You are open and embrace the possibilities and the opportunities and by doing so you grow and gain strength, courage and belief in yourself. You will survive and live your best life!

Your heart knows the way. Trust it. ~Shannon Kaiser

There is no greater gift that you can give yourself in being true to who you are as well as listening to your inner voice, following your heart and trusting your gut! Your whole being will benefit from the love, compassion and care that you give it. You will create a healthier and happier lifestyle for yourself too. Keep the l-o-v-e flowing!

There are times I want to skim over or even skip the bad parts in order to get to the good parts of a story! However, that being said the best part of the story is the adventure and the journey to get there. Sometimes you are where you need to be and sometimes you are on your way to where you need to be. It is very much about putting one foot in front of the other to keep moving forward in experiencing life!

When things fall apart it is because

something better is falling into place. ~Shannon Kaiser

I love a good story that has plenty of inspiration! It motivates me to get out there!
