Do you try to avoid fans and the debris that can come flying out of said fan? It will come and hit when you least expect it too. You will be wading in to deal with the debris and muck as well as the emotions and drama. More than likely your emotions will try to take control and the drama will be so unneccessary too.
Life is not normal and nowhere close to perfection! Something can and will go awry and/or go wrong. Sometimes you just have to deal with it and accept it. Life is constantly changing and about making progress!
This is where grace and humility play a part in your life! These 2 will become your best friends when something hits said fan. This is where you reign in the emotions and stop the drama too! You got this, you can handle this by being true to yourself and listening to what you need.
This is where you determine where to spend your time and energies! Sometimes it is more about your sanity than giving it back and getting even. Who wants the negative attention and the drama, so not worth it! Sometimes you just have to be the bigger person by walking away and letting it just go.
I know for me I need to get it out of my head or it will drive me crazy by replaying over and over again in my head! I need to vent my emotions from time to time, especially when the really negative emotions are trying to take control over me (i.e. anger, frustration, etc.). Stuff is going to hit said fan and you have to be able to handle that! One way to handle that is to tap into the rational thinking and tone down the emotionally charged part of yourself.

I want to attract and be around people that reflect the BEST of me! I am working on being more calm, collected and complimentary to myself and others. I am a very reactive person at times, especially when someone is being hurtful to me. That is never a great feeling and it feeds the ugly in me at times too!
