Time

How Do You Spend It?

The world is fast paced and crazy busy and hurry, hurry, hurry! I want and need that work/life balance because it does my body good. I want to focus in more and multi-task less as well as work on being more and doing less. I want to be time precious not time poor!


Getting My Sun On!

Think about the time you spend traveling to and from, waiting in lines, finding a parking space. etc!

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.

Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.

Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice.

And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

They somehow already know what you truly want to become.

My working environment baffles me some days! Quality and Quantity or Quality or Quantity. Please Pick One! You want me to speed up and work faster while paying attention to details, prioritizing my work and time and multi-tasking. Oh the Pressure, Tension and Stress! There are times where all I want to do is get lost in the busyness and hope 5 o’clock rolls around sooner than later.


Getting My Ducks in a Row!

I am working on what I can let go of when it comes to spending my time! I am trying to ask for help more instead of doing ALL of it myself. I am seeking out time for myself to recharge and reenergize throughout my day even if it is in 5 minute increments. I am becoming more aware of where I spend the majority of my time!

I find myself wanting to take on my day! I find myself being more motivated and productive throughout the day. I want to be in the present moment and focus on the task at hand. I want to achieve more by being not necessarily by doing and adding more to my to do list!

I enjoy getting my exercise on and staying active! It is my time to focus on me, my body and my health and wellness. I want to keep my sanity intact. I benefit in so many ways and reap the rewards when I make myself the #1 priority!

Saying No

Respect Your Time & Energy

I know I am a people pleaser at times. You really have to figure out what you want to put your time and energy towards in your life. You may feel guilty in the beginning in saying no, but there are times where you need to do for you first. It does you good to say “no”!


No!

I really want to put my time and energy towards what matters in my life! I have to value myself and one way to do this is by taking the time for myself. I have to respect (not sacrifice) my own needs. It is okay to be a little selfish at times!

I realize there are those things that you really do not want to do, but you have a choice when it comes to what you do about it! You can suck it up, do it and move on. You can ignore it and do what you want. Just make sure you make the choice!

I strongly believe that what you project from the inside out is what people really want from you and love you for that too! If you love and respect yourself you will add value to your life and the lives of the people you share your life with. Think about being equal with your family, friends and peers and you will be amazed what you attract in your life! Put yourself first and reap the many benefits in your life.

Make Yourself a Priority Every Day!!!


Wants and Needs

What Matters, What is Important

I remember my mother trying to teach me as a child about wants and needs and of course everything was a WANT! I have been doing that experiment on myself lately with trying to find a simpler life. I am also trying to find that naturalness of my whole being again.


Natural . . .Nourish . . .

The Tough Questions

  • Do you not know what you really want?
  • Do you know what you want, but do not know how you go about getting it?
  • Is it a want or a need?
  • Are you in control in getting what want or need?
  • Are you not in control of what you want or need?

For me it is about connecting with myself from within to determine a want or a need, to make choices and to take action! I have been thinking about what is no longer working and/or no longer serving me in living my life, especially living the life I want. I have to adjust and shift as well as change or remove certain aspects of my life. It is an ongoing and ever changing process too!


Ever Changing

Sometimes it comes down to the basis of what I will do and what I will not do! I realize there are things in my life that I have to do. Once done though I can get back to doing what I want to do!

Sometimes less is truly more! For instance, I need to do less by being more focused on the task at hand. I feel more engaged and more energized. I feel more satisfied and more fulfilled. I feel better about what I am doing and not doing it half arsed. I am focusing on what matters and what is important to me!

Sometimes you have to work your other core! In listening to my inner voice, following my heart and trusting my gut instincts, I am able to discover what drives, motivates and energizes me as a person. It is so important to believe and trust in myself! It matters to experience the process and not worry about the next thing or the final end results. I feel so much better about what I am doing when I release or surrender to the process and just let it unfold!

On My Tip Toes

Leaning Over the UNKNOWN!!!

I am trying to see the good as well as the blessings that came from having doubts and fears! Change and the unknown are a great way to learn and grow as a person. I am engaged and stretching outside of my comfort zone too. So far I am very much alive and surviving my fears and embracing change!

I have 3 things in my life that keep me on my toes.

  1. Having Doubts and Fears
  2. Experiencing Emotions, Feelings and Thoughts
  3. CHANGE

I really want to move through my doubts, fears, emotions, and changes! I do not want to get stuck in the motions and feed into it. It is okay to be afraid, but you need to understand why and how to handle it! There are times you move forward and proceed with caution. There are times you step back or back off from a situation to really evaluate it. There are times you need to take a breathe and clear the mind before taking that initial step; “standing on your tip toes“!

I often wonder where my strength and courage comes from and how it knows I need it too! Especially when I feel as if it is MIA. I usually go within myself and tap into my inner strengths to handle a situation. I know I need to be ready to act and deal with what comes my way; the good, the bad and the ugly!

I know I need to follow my heart and listen to my inner voice! I know getting myself into the negative self talk and putting myself down is so not going to work and is so counterproductive too. I want safety instead of risk. I want protection instead of putting myself out there. I want MORE out of life, so I do what I have to do when it comes to living my life and creating the life I WANT!

Thank goodness for social support, cat-like reflexes of being able to land on your feet and when all else fails parachutes! I want to feel motivated and inspired to gain those life lessons and life experiences. I want to be following my path and listening to myself and my needs when it comes to living my life! So I am going to get out there and live it large.

Brown Bagging It

Learning . . . Growing . . . Gaining

My 30’s have been the Best of Times with a Whole Mess of Learning Lessons Along the Way! I was diagnosed with a chronic illness at 31 and then experienced a pretty significant injury at 37. Talk about some much needed schooling going on – WOW! The best teachers I could have been given in my 30’s. Thank you!

What happens in your life was meant to happen! There may not be a reason as to why. Call it what you want! I call it a growth spurt and at times growing pains, but most of all it is a lesson in life.


GROWTH

I have taken a different approach to living my life in the last year or so! I needed to go within myself to heal. I needed to take care of myself and make myself the priority for a while. I needed to start listening to my inner voice once again. I still do not have all the answers and more than likely never will. I am okay with that because I am learning, growing and gaining and will continue to do so!

I discovered a GREAT place to start! I started with improving my overall health and well being about 3 years ago. Never take anything for GRANTED, especially your health and wellness! I am stronger and healthier and have a much better outlook on my life and my state of mind.


STRONG

Personal Growth is Possible! Change is Good too! I am learning, stretching, reaching, and growing in so many ways. I am gaining too, especially life lessons and life experiences.

Important Lesson #1

Be Kind to Yourself and Others! I can honestly say I barely have it together some days let alone think that I know what someone else is going through in his or her life. Forgive Yourself and Others! Let the rest go, especially the “stuff” you have no control over.

Find the Simple and Revel In It! I enjoy being in the present moment and love taking in the simple things as well as the small things in my life. Nuture and Nourish Yourself and Others! I am all for feeding and fueling myself.

Fun, Fun, Fun! Living life is so much better when you have fun doing it. Get Silly and Laugh. Be a Kid Again and Play. Let the Artist Out and Create.

Learning to Share

I am starting to take time for myself! I am enjoying that 30 minutes to the start of my day and that 30 minutes at the end of my day that I spend on myself and my whole being. I am learning to make the choices I need for me!

My Top 3 Needs

  1. Stop perfecting and controlling; less doing, more being.
  2. Discover my calm and collected self.
  3. Do more of what makes me creative, passionate and happy.

So Over the OVER DOING!

Do you ever feel like you on OVER DOING it mode? I know the one reason I do this is so I do not have to answer to myself and/or to my emotions, feelings and thoughts. I prefer to have a private moment and just get it out of my system. Blowing up is not a pretty sight and blowing up at someone is so uncool!

What makes you feel more like you?

I know I need to start learning to share me with me! I can only give so much of myself to others. I need to give back to myself too, especially from the inside out. I feel more like me when I get to do what I want and what I love to do!

I do not like when a MOOD hangs around and over stays its welcome, especially for more than a few days – UGH! It is bad enough when it hangs around for longer than a few hours. I do not deal well with the emotions, feelings and thoughts that put me into one bad mood either. I try to experience it, get through it to the best of my ability and move on!

I need to find that pure joy and find laughter again!

I like to listen to music, move and shake and sometimes DANCE when in a funk! I still struggle when it comes to emotional eating during the crisis, crazyness and chaos, so I focus on being active. I feel so much better and have more energy when I make healthy food choices instead of reaching for the JUNK! My mood thanks me too.

I love escaping to the great outdoors and spending quality time in nature! I enjoy the solitude and becoming one with my natural surroundings. I feel more energized and it helps boost my mood too! I am reminded that life and time is precious and not to waste one minute of it and just get to living it.

I find myself turning inward to reconnect, recharge and reenergize to find that calm, collected person that lives inside of me! I know my inner self to be true and a constant in my life, which helps me center myself once again. I am lucky in what I DO HAVE right here, right now! I am grateful and appreciate the life I do have and makes me more mindful in attracting more of the good in my life.

DO NOT FORGET to spend time doing what you love! I love hanging out with my greatest someones. I love carving out time for myself and just craving life in general. I love being passionate about life and just getting out there to live it!

Wellness Taboo

Good Digestion

I know there are some topics that may be taboo to talk about, but are still an important aspect when it comes to overall health and wellness. I am talking digestion and it is a natural process of the body. Your digestion is an important part of your body, especially when it comes to your overall health and wellness. It matters in more ways than you might think!

I still struggle with bad digestion at times and I know I am not alone. It is just not openly talked about. I know I feel better and perform better when everything is in sync within my body. Good digestion helps your body absorb nutrients and removes what your body no longer needs.

I know for me one indiction that I am not feeling well is my digestion. Your body is just not able to process what you are putting in it. I usually grab a big mug of hot water with a half a lemon in it. Just cleanse and detox the system per se. Especially if I have been eating or drinking a little naughty.

Another aspect of good digestion is getting a good amount of nutrients, vitamins and minerals from the foods you eat throughout the day. Your body is able to absorb these pretty quickly unlike processed and refined foods that are a little harsher for your body to absorb and process properly. You want the best nourishment for you body to function properly, especially your immune system. Do not forget the fiber and whole grains as well as the fruits and veggies to your eating regime.
