Fitness Motivation

Get Your Burn On!

Ability is what you’re capable of doing.

Motivation determines what you do.

Attitude determines how well you do it.

~Lou Holtz

What motivates you to get your burn on? Music. A Workout Buddy or Group Class. Just Doing What You Enjoy!

Playing . . .

Really figure out what works best for you and your body! A little fitness is better than none at all. It can be a little bit of trial and error, but do not give up. You have to find what you like to do that is fun and enjoyable and that you can stick to long term!

You do not have to spend hours working out. Get Motivated and Stay Active! You do not have to eat foods that taste like nothing. Just Make Better Choices!

Eating . . .

Do you believe being fitness motivated is a mindset/lifestyle? I do. Fitness should add to your life. Fitness just becomes a way of LIFE!

I have my fair share of excuses ready to go, trust me. CravesBro having not 1 but 2 heart attacks in his late-30s pushed me to change my mindset and really think of it as a lifestyle change for the BETTER! I want to be healthier OVERALL! Hopefully I have someone to torment in my 90s.

Oh no, I’m sorry to hear about ‘CravesBro.’ Such experiences are wake up calls for all of us, aren’t they… And I really agree with your message here. I worked out 4 times this week. I’d like for it to have been every day, but this is already way more than I’ve been doing recently. Nothing super intense, and I try to make it different and enjoyable each time (dancing, walking instead of driving to meet a friend, etc.)!

I need to find that “like to do” activity.

Wow, two heart attacks at such a young age. I hope your brother is doing OK now.

Thank you for adding to positive energy in the World! Looks like you are doing great. We really need to stop focusing on what we do not have or what we think we want, and make use of what we already have – it’s literally all around us! We are here to create!

“You do not have to eat foods that taste like nothing. Just Make Better Choices!”

This is such an important truth. Far too many people are destroying their health with poor food choices, while believing that to eat healthy they have to give up good-tasting food. The truth is that a healthy diet can be entirely of delicious food. And once a person get used to eating good food, they’ll likely never want to eat junk again.

    Good post.

Loving your comment Audrey – good luck on finding that “like to do” activity too! CravesBro is doing well – thanks.

From May 2015 - March 2016, Sherry and Sean traveled the country and lived in a 5th wheel R.V. They took pictures, hiked mountains, and saw amazing sights. They are now settled in Fort Myers, Florida and are continuing to take pictures and seeing amazing sights. This is the blog of their journey from leaving St. Louis and starting an adventure, to living in Florida and doing photography. Enjoy the stories, and leave comments if you have one to share!
