Nutrition
Here is a thinker for you! In making a lifestyle or wellness and fitness change, do you think about nutrition? Do you really care or not so much? I think in terms of lowering my sodium and refined sugar intake. I also think about fresh versus processed or pre-made foods. I also think about bad fats and taming my sweet tooth (one cookie versus a sleeve of cookies).
What Do You Do as far as Nutrition for You, Your Body, Mind, and Spirit? I try and get 8 to 12 servings of fruits and veggies a day. Plus drink my water throughout the day every day – stay hydrated! Please Share – Love to Hear What You Do!

I really try to find that balance and have a healthy relationship with food. Nutrition plays a role in your health, wellness and fitness! You really have to think from the inside out and that everything is connected; physically and mentally. It does not mean you have to feel deprived when instilling a healthier lifestyle!

Since the kids left home, I rarely bake anymore. Score for less sugar in my diet.

Refined sugar is my downfall. I try to limit but easier said than done. Good nutrition is a biggie in overall health 🙂

I have been drinking more water recently, cutting down on juice. I am also trying to eat more fruit, though I am not sure I can get up to 12 servings per day (I think that’s great that you do!)! I also have a weakness for bread and cake!

Cookies aren’t nutritious? I’m glad that wine comes from grapes at least! 🙂

Sheila –
In my own crazy mind I would eat a sleeve of cookies a day – ha! Yes to the Grape Goodness too!

This is a great post! I too always have my water on hand and stay hydrated Throughout the day or else I don’t feel too good, and everything else gets affected by my lack of water. I also tried to get my veggie up for lunch and dinner and a good amount of protein. Having a rough outline of those things helps me stay more balanced through the Day instead of stressing about every little number! 🙂

Good nutrition definitely makes us feel better about ourselves. I definitely can feel a difference when I eat whole foods versus process food. Lovely photos by the way. 🙂

Interesting thoughts and something that have been in my thoughts recently. Eating healthy whole foods, cutting out processed foods and modelling this for my kids is what I try to do. I’m not fixated on cutting out specific things (ie sugar, salt, fat etc) as long as it’s all in moderation. My downfall is water, I never drink enough during the day, not because I’m drinking sugary drinks or something like that, just because I don’t drink a lot of anything.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I am sure you get water in other ways through what you eat on a daily basis. Here’s to moderation!
