Seeing the Sights

Waimea Canyon

Is this the Grand Canyon? Yes, of the Pacific! Waimea Canyon is massive (about 10 miles long and up to 3,000 feet deep). Impressive with its reds and greens as well as the rain moving in

Kalalau Lookout

The Kalalau Lookout provides a breathtaking panaromic view – the drop to the sea is 4,000 feet below! Out of the Rain and Mist Comes a Band of Many Colors.

Wai’ale’ale

I have to agree about being one of the wettest spots on earth – a little soggy by the time I reached the car! Over 450 inches of rain per year.

Kilauea Lighthouse

The 52-foot Kilauea Lighthouse is on the northernmost tip of Kauai. On the lookout for humpback whales and found some seabirds instead. This area is also known for the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, a sanctuary for seabirds. Be on the lookout for boobies and albatrosses nesting in the ruggedness.

Opaekaa Falls

The Opaekaa Falls were featured in the movie “Blue Hawaii”.

Wailua Falls

Made famous by the TV show “Fantasy Island”.

Lovey Photography

From May 2015 - March 2016, Sherry and Sean traveled the country and lived in a 5th wheel R.V. They took pictures, hiked mountains, and saw amazing sights. They are now settled in Fort Myers, Florida and are continuing to take pictures and seeing amazing sights. This is the blog of their journey from leaving St. Louis and starting an adventure, to living in Florida and doing photography. Enjoy the stories, and leave comments if you have one to share!
