Avila Beach

I Left My Heart in Avila Beach

There is just something about Avila Beach that speaks right to my heart (& at times my stomach)!

I Left My Stomach at San Luis Pier 3

A few years back while visiting Pismo Beach I discovered Olde Port Fisheries while on a search to find fresh fish and seafood. Recently I went there to pick up some fresh crab on the way to the Santa Barbara area and on the way back through stopped again for some fresh shrimp. This is the place to get great fish and seafood at a reasonable price – great staff and uber clean. I purchased 2 crabs for less than $10 and oh so good!

The Pelicans

A word of caution – be aware of your surroundings around pelicans – a little sneaky. My spouse did not realize a pelican was following him up the pier until he stopped and the pelican continued – had to be there to see it – funny!

Sea Lions
The Sea Lions do hang out underneath the Wharf and every once in a while you see someone jump when the sea lions start barking – makes me smile!

I HEART Avila Beach!!!

Lovey Photography

From May 2015 - March 2016, Sherry and Sean traveled the country and lived in a 5th wheel R.V. They took pictures, hiked mountains, and saw amazing sights. They are now settled in Fort Myers, Florida and are continuing to take pictures and seeing amazing sights. This is the blog of their journey from leaving St. Louis and starting an adventure, to living in Florida and doing photography. Enjoy the stories, and leave comments if you have one to share!
