I visited Arkansas for the first time in 2009. The Little Rock/Hot Springs area was hilly with lots of trees. The City, State and National Parks offer visitors different types of experiences.
The first day of my visit was seeing Nimrod Dam, Petit Jean State Park and Cedar Falls Overlook. I really enjoyed seeing the falls.

The second day of my visit was seeing Hot Springs National Park to see the bathhouses. Fordyce Bathhouse offers visitors free tours. In the basement of this bathhouse you can actually see the springs running under the bathhouse. Some of the outdoor fountains are hot water fountains.

Some of my favorite bathhouses were Buckstaff with its blue awnings and Ozark and Quapaw bathhouses were unique in their architecture.

I checked out Hot Springs Mountain Tower from outside in the parking lot. This tower is 216 feet high and offers a panorama view of Hot Springs, the Ouachita Mountains and the Diamond Lakes area. Maybe go inside next time and take the trip to the top.
I packed in the sites on my two-day visit and enjoyed every minute of it!
