Stax Wine Bar in Morro Bay, California is a MUST STOP there kinda place! You want a deal on wine tasting – check out their 5 Tastes for $5 or 5 Tastes for $10 (Reserve Tasting). Stax offers 10 new wines to taste each week.

Stax is located at 1099 Embarcadero in Morro Bay and their hours are Mon – Thu 12 pm to 8 pm, Fri – Sat 12 pm to 10 pm and Sun 12 pm to 8 pm.

Wine Tasting & Lunch

I was so enamored with the place in general that I forgot to write down or take a picture of the list of wines we tried – DUH! I do remember that there was a favorite white varietal and red varietal out of the 5 wines we tasted.

We went on a Friday afternoon for a tasting and some paninis – Italian Meat Panini for Mr. Craves and I had the Panini ala Caprese – YUM! The paninis were served with these delicious, lightly salted Marcona Almonds – I am glad I do not have a nut allergy.

Stax also offers bottles to purchase and wine-related gift items. Their wines are from white to red to pink to bubbles to imports to dessert – more than likely you will find a favorite. For people who are not really into wine there is beer and martinis available.
